Thank you so very much for this. I fell in love with Jeremy 40 years ago. Marriage, 5 kids, divorce and 6 grand kids later I still am. Wonderful trip down memory lane. Thanks again
This song is almost 50 years old and I still love it. "all good things must end", reminds me of all the relatives and friends that have passed on and helps me remember them again. It's a sad song in that regard, but that mine take on it. Very pleasing sound and I can take comfort in knowing that we will all will have our time and that it's really okay. Thanks for posting JN
Wow, all these years and they still sound like THAT. Incredible. They sound the same as the 60s live clip I just saw. It was a beautiful song then and it's a beautiful song now. And beautifully done.
Ahhh, the memories, so mid-60's. I think about the past way too much, the gorgeous cars, the music, the cars. I wish that Delorean can take ME back in time. Sigh.
Makes me wish I had lived during the 60's to have enjoyed these two first-hand. A true testament to their talent in that they still sound magnificent in voice and acoustic guitar after over 40 years! For those interested in a similar sound from a current artist, check out "Someone Else's Life" by Joshua Radin. God bless.
Keith, Chad and I (Clive Metcalfe) wrote this sixty years ago and as I approach my 80th birthday it's still wonderful to know so many people still love our song.
I feel so lucky to have been born when i was. To have been able to enjoy the greatest music by the greatest artists like Chad & Jeremy. I hope that younger artists will emulate these greats so that the music will live on.
C & J's longevity is due to their many passions taking them to two different continents. Contary to The Everly Brothers, who despised each other over time; The brothers stated if you had to spend your every waking hours cheek to cheek with your brother with such different interests , you begin to despise the work and your brother, and end up in disaster. Fortunately,C & J 's separate passions kept their friendship and collaberative timeless work alive .
Always confused them with Peter and Gordon. One of the all time best summer songs. "They say that all good things must end someday...autumn leaves must fall." Reminds me how quickly our life flies away.
These guys are still touring? That's odd because I used to listen to dick Clark's rock roll and remember on the radio and he said these guys don't sing anymore. I remember alot of oldies programs said some strange things that ended up not being true.
What a perfet rendition of a perfect song. Too bad Ty's homework consisted of googling them. Would have like a little more in-depth into them & their music.
❤2023 and I still love their music❤Thank U
A big part of the success of A Summer Song besides the lyrics and melody is their voice and how great their voices sound when blended.
A Summer Song...one of the BEST songs of the Sixties.
How could ANYONE with ears forget Chad and Jeremy?

We sold merchandise for them at a concert in Akron Ohio. Peter Noone of Herman's Hermits was the star. Fantstic show. 🎉❤😂

Wait, YOU'RE Clive Metcalfe? I never thought I'd run into one of "Summer Song"s writers, online or not.

Exactly. Our time here is short.
Chad and Jeremy - come down to OZ! Please!
Great interview and performance. Their episode on "The Dick Van Dyke Show" ("The Redcoats Are Coming") was one of the funniest!
Chad looks great for his age!

+doctor fienstone they are still touring. they also have a facebook page.
@murraysgirl This was when there was real talent...no sampling, no computer programs to tweak the voices......it's real music.
Jeremy is an octave too high.. but they are great.
Very nice! Search: Catwoman Steals the Voices of Chad and Jeremy on youtube se time: 0:41 :)
What a perfet rendition of a perfect song. Too bad Ty's homework consisted of googling them. Would have like a little more in-depth into them & their music.
Was Jeremy Clyde on production on Keeping Up Appearances?
Too bad KVOS is no more these days (given what the owners did with it).
