Agree, but they’re in an industry where the wins and awards are important to their long term survival. So as fans, we need to participate in these things, though foreign to us, that will help them grow financially and status so that they have the resources to continue making music for us.
@@justme7494 That's not true. Sales are important. In kpop, awards generate sales, but it's not exactly true if your fanbase mainly from outside of SK. You can get popularity in SK with those awards, but you can be successfull without them, but less popular in SK.
Dreamcatcher is the perfect example that awards doesn't mean anything at all.

Yes, it certainly does. But I get more chills when I see all the imagery that shows that Insomnia is the REASON they carried on and never gave up. It shows how we supported them when it was difficult. When they were having a hard time, we were there for them... I especially like the scene when our Maknae is struggling going up the stairs, tears in her eyes and then this huge Insomnia hand comes along and picks her up so she doesn't have to go up the stairs on her own... that is a simple image, yet powerful!

Crying to myself while reading the lyrics to this song. After all the hardships this group has gone through 2022 really was such an amazing year for Dreamcatcher and Insomnia. Finally seeing our first win, them being able to tour and see so many of their adoring fans who have supported them for years, really is amazing. I've been stanning this group since debut, through the hard times, and now in the good times when many more people are discovering this group, and I'm always proud to be an Insomnia, because I know that they really will always be with me. We are the reason, you are the reason, they are the reason. Life is beautiful, thank you Dreamcatcher.

Yesss bro, they made history in 2017 and it pains me to say that I've only just discovered them 2 months ago. However, now I can proudly say I'm an Insomnia and I will forever support this amazing group. Dreamcatcher have done to me what no other artists have done and being quite new to Korean music I can't believe I would be saying that a K-pop girl group would become one of my favourite artists of all time (coming from a guy). Jan 13th is also a lot easier for me to remember since that's my Grandma's birthday :)

I saw them live Sunday. The energy they gave the entire concert was incredible. And when they sung Reason, the whole audience joined in. It was such a powerful moment!
The reason why their win hits harder is cause they worked their *sses off for it. It started with a small fandom and InSomnia grew bigger little by little over the years and it finally paid off, They got their 1st win through all their hard work and their company believing in them and the music they were putting out and I a Somnia since day 1 really appreciate that DCC kept supporting them all these years. Let's get them some more wins. We may be a small fandom but we are just like our girls. Strong and we don't quit.
And the cherry on top is, the hashtag of DC first win was trending like almost 5 days in a row, a symbolic representing that everyone celebrating their win.. long awaited deserved 1st win. Everyone knew they deserved it

Many fandoms like to claim their faves growth was organic, but the truth is most successful groups had a leg up from the moment they debuted. Dreamcatcher's growth was truly organic. They had no inside help in a very competitive and over-saturated industry. But they still managed to grow their fanbase with nothing but their talent.
to be fair. their company are really generous and didn't abandoned them even if back then they don't really make them money. their company def also the reason they suceed(even if the company are small don't have many connection)
The company, members, staff & fans => all of it is composition of rare things that happend in harsh kpop world

Just found this amazing girl group from Bonvoyage, i fell in love with the song and it led me to another bunch of great songs.
These 7 girls are amazing, their vocal, dance, performance and personality are unbelievably great, look at their live vocal stages!!
I’m grateful for the company and the staff who continue to make the good songs like this and create the outstanding girl group in the over-saturated K-pop industry.
I wish to see their live concert someday, i’m sure it’ll be super fun.

I second everything you just said. I discovered them when I listened to 'Vision' only just 2 months ago. They are one of the greatest groups and most talented music artists I have ever discovered (as someone who only got into K-pop last November). It's so cool to see that we Insomnias come from all across the globe. I have never been to any concert before but if Dreamcatcher tour Europe again, they will definitely be my first.

I started my journey of listening Dreamcatcher from "Chase Me" song in 2021 and I know why I kept listening to them. Their unique style, hidden talent, like a unshaped diamond, but later on in 2022-2023 I was not only amazed by their music, voices, lyrics of the songs carry different meanings, starting from the Apocalypse album, ending with words of gratitude to their fans, but also I was amazed by their personalities. They are just real and pure. They are not perfect and you can see how they could act funny on videos with their foolish jokes or some serious messages or their hilarious laughs(SuA Siyeon JiU 's laughs especially) that is the beauty of it. That they are not afraid of being real. As a fan I don't want to compare with other music groups or artists, but then when I watch them I want to watch not only because I like their songs, but because of their personalities. These 7 girls went through a difficult path of 7 years and they will keep going to be some inspiration for others I hope. They are now living the best part of their lives and I am very proud that I am watching everything that happens to them. And as fans, let's be kind and be a good fandom, cause that's what Dreamcatcher wants us to be.

Think about it, Dreamcatcher is a 3rd gen group but because their popularity is rising so much, they are usually considered part of the 4th gen. While some younger groups have (unfortunately) disbanded last year, Dreamcatcher (with great support from DCC) have yet to reach their peak. Simply amazing!! So proud to be a Somnia.

This music hits hard. Dreamcatcher story is one of so many hardships, yet the fans, the company, the girls themselves, never stopped trying. Thankfully this road was indeed a staircase, always going upwards. Being with them for so many years, screaming in frustration at every loss, this music really touches me. I am happy for them

It was early 2018, a couple of months into my mandatory military service, I was both mentally and physically tired from being in a new environment and having done the most training ever in my life. I found Dreamcatcher and they got me through those 2 gruelling years. In 2020 shortly after leaving the armed forces, I ended up in a job that was clearly not for me, ended up miserable and eventually fell into mild depression. Again, Dreamcatcher got me through that. Fast forward to today, I'm in a job that I love, surrounded by a couple of close friends and my mum who fully support me in whatever I do. Dreamcatcher has become one of the pillars of my life, with the importance of their music as well as caring for them from a fan's perspective. While chasing their dreams and doing what they love, these girls alongside their supportive CEO-nim and many staff members have truly impacted myself and, I believe, many other people as well with their grit, determination and most importantly their wonderful songs. Here's to wishing Dreamcatcher countless more successes, and continue being happy doing what they do. Congratulations for hitting the 6th anniversary, here's to many more!!

They really do help me through my studies as a student as well I'am really awkward,shy and I like niche things and sometimes cannot hold conversation too long and I hate awkward silences but when I started watching Dreamcatcher funny videos and how these girls never pretended to be anything else just be a big goofball that they're I started to learn how to break out of my shell(still very awkward and shy in new environment)and started to learn how to handle my surroundings and just not be afraid to be myself in social situations

Handong's line "We're always with insomnia" really hits hard in the feelings cause when there's a real love between a group and their fandom it feels like they're always together no matter how apart we are. That's also the reason I decided that DC will be my ult . Because more than anything else they have helped me with their music or other content when I'm sad to relax and forget about everyday problems and I couldn't be more thankful about that. This is really the biggest gift from a group to their fans. And is also one of the main reasons one should have a group as their ult. I can't express how happy I am that Dreamcatcher never stopped despite being in a niche. Now when they finally got bigger attention and maybe even going into mainstream, it's truly a great moment to be with them as an InSomnia. I used to get emotional when listening to few Deukae songs but never so much like with this.

Starting off with rock and going for a more rock heavy song overall as a fan song really shows they will never move away from their roots! I do certainly love their songs now (it's what got me into them) which certainly still include rock but I like the blend they made between the two here to create a unique song yet again!

I've never heard a song as emotional as this one. The meaning behind the animation, every single detail that expresses Dreamcatcher's entire career in these 6 years. Some people will never understand that quality has nothing to do with numbers, chart positions, mingled success but with feeling and in that regard Dreamcatcher is undoubtedly number one.
Dreamcatcher really is the definition of always keep trying and never give up no matter where you come from and how small you start. They are very special to me and I look up to them a lot. I will always and forever be an Inosmnia who treasures this group. Thank you Dreamcatcher for not giving up, us Insomnia will keep supporting and loving you. Together as Dreamcatcher and Insomnia, we will reach great heights and make many memories.
I would like to thank my brother and his impeccable music taste that never misses for introducing me to this group. He would often play some of their songs in the car, but I wasn't even into kpop back then, nor did I have the intention of getting into it. I really should have looked into their discography sooner. It took listening to DEMIAN to actually become fully interested, but I'm here and that's all that matters! Dreamcatcher is my comfort girl group - still not into kpop as a whole, but it's just my preference :)

i stan many groups but i have to admit i have such a soft spot for dreamcatcher. i dont keep up with them much but even as a casual insomnia this makes me emotional. the fact that the girls, the company, and the fandom have worked so hard and not given up and keep going after all this time is really something to be proud of. dreamcatcher are a special group.
Their history & attitude is indeed very very rare to happends in this cruel/harsh kpop world. I'm into kpop in 2003/2005, but never did i find a company&group like them
it's amazing to see how far dreamcatcher has come, how hard they've worked, and all they've put into being here. like gahyeon said, the fact that they're not insignificant after being in such an over saturated industry for 6 years is monumental. they came from a small company and they didn't have the pre-debut popularity boost from a survival show. they really have worked their way from the ground up in a rare feat of organic growth. i'm so proud of dreamcatcher for still being here today and never giving up- and also to insomnia, both new and old, who have stayed by dreamcatcher's side and supported them in their endeavors throughout the years. thank you so much

Dreamcatcher is inspiring. DCC is inspiring too. Nowadays, small companies give up if their groups don't do well within a year or two. HFE and DCC believed and supported Dreamcatcher since 2014. Staying strong with a unique concept & sound and not changing it even though a lot of people said otherwise is a boss move. I haven't seen many companies and groups like this. Dreamcatcher is really unique for many reasons.

I'm happy I've got to attend a Dreamcatcher concert with my brother in Manila back in 2019. They were really small that time and the venue as only fit for less than a 500 people (I think). We discovered Dreamcatcher starting Chase Me, and as brothers who liked to search for different sounds and concepts, we got hooked up with their creativity. Plus their vocals and dance are unmatched, clearly they are eating CDs at this point. Since Scream and onwards they got more international audience and got to perform overseas, being an Insomnia who started liking them since debut, it feels surreal to see them being in a larger venue and larger oportunities than ever. I hope Dreamcatcher never stop, and I hope they the love and support they deserve
Just to clarify, they were touring overseas since 2017, starting with their Fly High Tour in Brazil, Japan and Europe. From Scream forward they couldn't actually tour anywhere until 2022 due to travel restrictions.

I think that spellbook represents/ties with SuA because she was the main one who had spells cast on from the book in GOOD NIGHT? Like the scenes that stood out to me the most were her being trapped by the vines in the woods, and then later those vines set on fire to break her free.
@@kodikael8399 I though that as well, at first, but Gahyeon was also affected by the book in Goodnight, and we also already have a symbol for Dami from Goodnight, so it made more sense to me that it was Sua from Fly High. It's true her scene from Fly High with the book isn't as noticeable, just a quick second when her and Siyeon are in the cloaks, but it's an important moment that's easy to miss.
Ultimately, I think both could be true. It's the fun of being InSomnia! Trying to understand the meaning. ^_^

this song never failed making me cry. They may are not my first kpop group that i stan but they are definitely the best kpop group i've ever known. I'm forever grateful to that one fanedit video for introducing me to these girls and big shoutout to What for making me stay for their music.
"Reason" is a fansong from 2023. "Scream", along with "Piri", was my discovery of Dreamcatcher almost 5 years ago. I had never listened to K-pop before. It was a random recommendation. I was completely exhausted. And I still listen to these great ladies to this day. This group is actually worth exploring - they are fantastic. They now have more than 100 of their own songs from different genres and almost all of them are great and even unique. Dreamcatchers are always worth a visit.

Let's not forget they were doing both the concept & genre that were new & not easily welcome by the industry and are setting the trends in K-pop for future to come. A pioneer CEO that believes in these 7 angels enough to give up some part of his HFE company just to re-debut & rebrand them as well as doubled it down creating a DC company just for them. Insomnia since 2017, chase me era, here, I've seen their hardwork and the fandom growing throughout the seven years that when I saw the girls in Montreal I couldn't help but get emotional the whole concert and bawl my eyes out due to how proud I was to be an insomnia. They've helped me whenever I was stuck in the dark with no way out, they still are today and will always. People would say that it's dumb to feel connected to your idols when they don't know you exist but this is different when you discover them during a dark time and get to interact with them even if it's just them performing, that's how I feel and I'm sure there's some insomnias who also feel the same. Insomnias let's stay with Dreamcatcher for more years ^^
It's so appropriate that their "journey to the top" is represented by an endless staircase (with a Mongmongi as middlepoint), that's really what it was and they never gave up! And insomnia being what is found at the top of this staircase is truly beautiful it really shows the appreciation Dreamcatcher has for us Insomnia!

Insomnia has been the support "hand rail" of Dreamcatcher for their entire journey, we were the ones that supported them with everything and gave them the will to keep going. This is also represented by the Mongmongi that is colored in the animated scenes, while everything else is datk. We were their light (and off course they were ours but this is an mv from their perspective). But that's just my interpretation, the fun thing about Dreamcatcher mv's is that everyone can have their own interpretation!

시연님한테 늑대인형도 선물하구, 날아올라때 모자에 로고 넣어서 멤버들이 좋아하는 색 맞춰서 이름도 넣어서 선물도 했었어요!!!
리즌, 텐션, 왓등등 노래 나올때마다 꼬박꼬박 타이틀곡만이라도 챙겨듣고있었는데 리즌이라는 노래가 너무 좋아서 뮤비보면서 들어야지 하고 뮤비를 보러왔더니 풀문과 같은 팬송이었네요.
그 당시 저는 군인이었고 쇼케이스 갈려고 휴가도 맞추고 그랬던 모습이 생각났어요.
우리 꿈둥이들 지금도 힘들고 노력하는 하루하루를 보내겠지만 데뷔초때 마음고생하면서 힘들어했을 끔둥이들을 그저 믿고 응원했었던 저 같은 썸냐들이있었던 것처럼 최근 힘들어진 하루하루를 보내고있는 저에게 큰 힘이 되는 꿈둥이들의 노래같아요. 예전처럼 활발히 팬활동을 못하고있지만, 항상 응원하고있습니다. 노래로 큰힘이 돼줘서 너무 고마워요 꿈둥이들❤️

I've been a fan of kpop for about a decade now and followed many groups, but Dreamcatcher has _hands down_ the *best* fandom out there. I rarely see negative comments by InSomnia and every reaction on YT has tons of helpful info about the group along with "thanks for reacting". The fans are just as amazing as the girls themselves. Thank you Dreamcatcher and my fellow InSomnia for 5+ years of great music, great laughs, and great memories! 👩❤👨🤘

Wow! I see my home country (finland) in k-pop music video. Its so rare see something finland thing in k-pop. Dreamcatcher keeping doing not mainstream things. Nice are dreamcatcher for respect finland.
