Elvis is looking down with a big smile on his face brother! Yeah, peanut butter on a burger. Don't knock it ti'l you try if folks! Thanks for the mention DJ! Great looking burger brother!
Greetings from Sweden mr DJ BBQ! First of all: Thank you so much for being an inspiration for me and my friends. We really appreciate what you do, and in the way you do it! Friday for us means a new episode, that's what we've been waiting for all week =) For the next episode I've got a wish; please do a Minute Steak with some nice filling!! Have a nice weekend brother, bless u!
You have got to try an Aussie burger. Meat, ketchup, mustard, caramelized onions, streaky bacon, beetroot and a fried egg. So juicy you have to eat it with your elbows away from your body to channel the juices away from your body. And don't set it down once you've picked it up! Pure. Awesome. On. A. Bun.
GREAT VID DJBQQ!!! I'm from Slovenia, and here it is very popular to make the "Bosnian style" CEVAPCICI when we have a BBQ party! Goodle them out and maybe show your version of the stuff!!! ;)
DJ BBQ - I love how this is a no nonsense burger. None of that lettuce, tomato, onion stuff. Just pure, fatty goodness. Also, I can't for the life of me imagine a PB&J burger but that expression on your face when you took the first bite makes we want to take the rest of the day off from work and go home and make one of these right away. :) :D
Prince David ye imma try the PB&J anything is good with bacon already...top with some chuck steak...it's amazing...and some age cheese perfection! but...pb&J thats something i need to try! but imma put more jam than PB as i don't like a too thick of a taste with any kind of PB gonna put a 2:1 ratio of jam:peanut butter
DJBBQ Wow! I'm all shook up! That looks awesome! Can you do food that honours, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lews, Johnny Cash and Roy Orbison? They were other Sun Records legends. If you served that burger to Elvis, he'd say, "Thank you!" "Thank You Very Much!"
I didnt have the possibility to grill it, but it was f****** awsome all the same! XD The PBJ was incredible!!! I have eaten a lot of burgers, but never one that complete. Thanks DJ, and greetings from Germany!
good stuff. Watching with my kids, 5yr old says " dad I would like to have that with almond butter cause I can have peanuts" at least the boy knows his allergies and what good bbq looks like. Cheers
One day I might try this, one day but not today. It definitely looks odd and I'm sure I would get funny looks from the family but like you say "don't knock it till you try it".
Peanut butter works great with grilled pork or beef...I learned that from an African girlfriend I once had. Since than, I put it on every burger I make and also on Bacon Sandwiches. Divine!!! The jam is a different kettle of fish...no thanks.
I was skeptical of peanutbutter on a burger myself until I tried it it's amazing how good it goes with the burger. It goes as good with a burger as those crazy burgers you get at baseball stadiums where they use Krispy Kreme donuts as buns. When the sugar glaze off the donut melts into the bacon and the burger itself it's heaven. Definitely not a regular thing to eat but once every year or two it's delicious. Btw if u do use Krispy kremes as the bun cut it in half and put on the grill for a few seconds to get the glaze melty so it coats the bacon and burger.
DJ BBQ Are you kidding me? This is some new torture technique that no one knows? Wow this seems not the king burger, but the king of burgers, by the way, this is the king. I loved the recipe will do for my lunch! Thank you for sharing!
You know DJ, I really love you enthusiasm and down right awesome aditude! It's addictive man! You rock! And when I meet you I've got a loving bear hug for you too maan! Peace! :)
The combination of peanut butter with meat is not that far-fetched. In the Indonesian/malaysian kitchen there exists a peanut sauce called 'sateh-sauce', which goes extremely well with grilled skewers of meat, and vegetables (that's called 'gado-gado'). Usually the satay-sauce is sweetened with palm sugar, but why not use blackcurrant jam for that purpose, and introduce a nice fruity flavour as a bonus? Excellent idea! But! "Lots of bacon, Elvis would have wanted it that way... a big big patty... look at all that fat, the fat is dancing, it's gonna flavor all that wonderful meat". And all that fat also killed Elvis, along with a diversity of drugs: "Presley had become a grotesque caricature of his sleek, energetic former self. Hugely overweight, his mind dulled by the pharmacopoeia he daily ingested, he was barely able to pull himself through his abbreviated concerts." That was 1977. (source: Wikipedia) Somehow your King Burger symbolizes the greatness, but also the demise, of Elvis Presley.
Elvis is looking down with a big smile on his face brother! Yeah, peanut butter on a burger. Don't knock it ti'l you try if folks!

This burger's been cooked with love, that's why if it had a voice, it would say: ''I'm all shook up uh huh huh''
