I wasn't big on season 2 when I initially watched it but find it much more enjoyable now. I kinda find it interesting that Ziggy didn't like being a joke, but he was taking it the wrong way. He was never meant to be a tough guy and people genuinely liked him and thought he was funny in his role.

If he was an environment that encouraged that, where he wasn't treated like the butt end of joke and didn't feel obligated to play into that, or something so high stakes, he would have been fine (relatively speaking). He's kind of like Fredo: lot of positive qualities, none suited for the life they're in.
What if the old guy that says that boy ain't right is related Snoop, cause she says the same thing about Michael in season 4, we know Snoop has a decent household because of the way her sister is always dressed clean with her done so maybe Snoops dad or grandad is a dock worker... Or maybe "the boy ain't right" is just a Baltimore thing that everyone says and I'm just reading too much into it 🤷🏿♂️
