      @DarrenH001 3 года назад +8

      Not for me. Bunk is a terrible friend to McNulty. In Season 1 he frequently puts JM down and in Season 4, when finally he's reformed, Bunk is trying to coax Jimmy back into his old habits. Even goes as far as to say he's a faker in episode 3. All because he wants his drinking buddy back.
      Grade A prick.

      @@DarrenH001 nope you're analysing too much, if you know anything about bromance and getting high together its the most quality time, we're more open which guys usually aren't. If i suddenly stopped drinking or smokin weed my boys would also try to get me back in the game not because they want to watch me die as a dysfunctional drug abuser but just cz they miss the old me when we could all sit and share and enjoy. Bunk was an amazing friend to McNulty actually the best friend he had till Beadie. He wouldn't snitch on him cheating, warned him several times on the serial killer thing, and was always beside him. I like the guy but he’s no saint and somewhat an hypocrite.
      Sometimes he’s a bit too sanctimonious on Jimmy, Even though he encouraged his excesses… right up the time that Jimmy falls back to his demons and then Bunk is biting his ankle like a dog.
      Nobody beats Lester for me. He had the drive of Jimmy but a larger skillset than Jimmy and Bunk put together AND cool as a cucumber. Did I mention he’s selfless and empathetic too ? Like Daniels says : Lester IS the Major Crime Unit.

    The barroom conversations between Bunk and McNulty throughout the series are gems. This one in particular comes to mind because Bunk is more tipsy than usual and 1). his slurred, "Yeah, rum 'em together like that." and, 2). his pursed lip impersonation of how McNulty is going to have to suck up to Rawls. Very candid and very amusing.
