Solution better explained: have the image you want to appear after erasing on a layer below the drawing you want to be erased. Make sure everything on the top layer is completely filled.
if you want it to look like a bad version of the orignal, make the second layer transparent then trace it horribly. Then do everything else and then you’re good!
This is not supposed to be some rude comment but this is also how to make it easier First on the *first layer* get a picture or Draw something Then leave the layer how it is. Get a second layer and make sure its *layer 2*. On *layer 2* Fill the canvas with white (that white Colour will be Your background Colour on layer 2but u can make it any colour you want) then draw the same thing you drew on layer one but worse. On layer 2 you can just ryb out how you want and it will end the same how it ended in the vid NOT FORCING U TO DO IT THIS WAY U CAN DO IT THE WAY SHE/HE SHOWED IN THE VID
you don't have to erase the canvas, you can make a custom brush and go to dynamic or smth and change the max pixel size to full, then take out the brush and turn it to full pixel and cover it. You also don't have to hide the first pic.
you dont need to do all of that,just do this: 1. import a picture 2. add layer 3. choose a brush and pick color white 4. max size and fill in canvas 5. draw whatever and if you erase it then you can see the picture
Easier method: add your picture or draw your art, when your done add a new layer, make the brush as big as possible and make it white, (don't make the layer under invisible) and once the screen is fully covered your good, draw a worse version on top of the white on the same new layer in a color other then white, then erase it and uncover your masterpeice!
There is an easier way to do this: You can put a picture u like then add a layer then click on the layer you just added then take the color white (or any color as a background) then color what you want then take an eraser and done! Hope this helps!!
there’s an easier way, all you do is do your drawing, do the layer above the one you’re using to draw, then draw over it on the new layer and then erase it when u want and your drawing will be there.
If it doesn’t work import and pic make a new layer draw or color somthing on top of it MAKE SURE THERE ON SEPRATE LAYERS and u can erase and the pic or drawing will appear:D

How I do it:
Get the picture you want
Put a second/2nd layer
Draw the thing you want on layer 2/two
Then erase to see the picture you put
Easier way:

Color the whole screen white
Take the eraser tool
Erase and the pic will be exposed

The outline and bucket in white was not needed. Just use the layer it’s literally white
the picture in the back will be seen when you do it so the bucket is needed
