Great list! I really want to get around to collecting Sweat and Soap as well as A Bride's Story this year. A few of my favorite reads from 2021 have to be Apothecary Diaries, I Had That Same Dream Again, and the Heroic Legend of Arslan. Arslan was like a dark horse that I was not expecting to like as much as I did lol.
I recently bought Apothecary Diaries and I Had That Same Dream Again! Super exciting to hear they were in your top reads for 2021, I'll have to bump them up the TBR! (人´∀`*) Also, I've never heard of Heroic Legend of Arslan, I'll have to check that one out! 👀 Thanks for watching! ^^
The Apothecary Diaries was my favorite read of 2021. Living-room Matsunaga-san is also a fave of mine! Originally I really wasn't sure I'd like it, but glad I took a chance on it.

You make these sound like a pleasurable read. Except for Blood On the Tracks of course, that one will always be a disturbing fascinating read. I'll be giving some of these a try!

For me I have always struggled to get into romance series especially shonen and shojo ones. They all feel a bit too samey and silly for me. However, I enjoy Moto Hagio works especially and have been working thorugh reading the works of shojo/josei authors who deal with some romance like Keiko Takemiya, Ai Yazawa, Saki Hiwatari, Fumi Yoshinaga, Moyoco Anno, Kyoko Okazaki and Fumiyo Kouno to name a few. I think also I'd like to try the new shonen romance manga Blue Box as it is about basketball, my favorite sport. I know there are some other basketball romances but they dont interest me as much. I enjoyed your explanations and I've been meaning to read A Bride's Story for some time this only adds to that. I think I may also give Sweat and Soap a try. I recently picked up the Pancreas novel looking forward to that too. Have you read Cats of Lourve by Taiyo Matsumoto? I think, based on this list, you might enjoy it.
If you find shoujo and shounen romances silly, I would absolutely recommend both A Bride's Story and Sweat and Soap! They're way more mature and realistic compared to other romance manga I've read. I haven't read Cats of Lourve, but I've heard a lots of good things about it. I'll definitely be adding it to the wishlist! (: Thanks for watching!
