This show was part of Australian culture, they shouldn't have cancelled it. I used to watch it in the UK on c5 and loved it more than any British show back then, I ran home from school so I wouldn't miss an episode.
I'm from New Zealand and moved to Australia in 1995 and have been watching Neighbours ever since I have loved watching with the rest of Australia and the world. Thank you neighbours for been on screen for us all but for me the last 17 years. I will miss seeing you 4-5 week nights
It's hard because I feel such nostalgia seeing the old cast. But when I watched a weeks episodes last year, I wanted them all back on the show. Which can't happen so the end was inevitable. Thanks to everyone for years of great entertainment 👊
Was lucky enough to work at Global TV studios in Nunawading back in the mid 00s and got to know a lot of the cast and crew for the time I was there. Even Rove when he had his show right opposite the neighbours studio. Was a great experience. The cast and crew were fantastic, no sense of entitlement or ego (bar one or two of the youngies) good memories.
I wish we could see how Paul and Terese would get on, and Toadie and Melanie. I’m already missing you all. Maybe one day they will take it back up. 💔❤️
Being an Aspie girl, I learnt my social skills by watching soap operas, primarily neighbours. With the Pauls, and the Izzys, and the St Susans. And now I realise why people don't like me. None of you buggers now how to behave properly! 🤣👍🏳️🌈🇦🇺❤️💛🖤
Grew up with Neighbours in the UK in the 80s and 90s. We only had four channels back then and it was such a part of daily life to get home and see home and away and neighbours every day. It was escapism, especially in the dreary days of winter to escape to the sunshine of Australia for a while.
I will miss Neighbours 😢 Ioved all the characters but the the Character I will miss the most is Toady and Harold I will watch the last episode here in Ireland tomorrow 😢 please come back 😢 💔 🙏 I haven't watched it in years
So sad loved neighbours they should have been allowed to continue people should have stepped in to save this programme coronation street is still going and neighbours is so much better

The scariest thing for the cast is finding work elsewhere now, particularly those who have worked on this one show all their lives.
