I bought these thinking NB was made for comfort but I guess I was completely wrong. My big toe hates me rn
Wow I have the exact same problem on my neutral grey 85s. My right shoe broke in beautifully, but my left shoe has that same pressure point. To break it in more, I started playing basketball in them and put them through many games. It's helped a ton and I even achieved a more 1985 look after all that wear, but so far the pressure point is still noticeable.
I gotta give you props for playing in Jordan 1's first of all! That traction pattern is amazing. I did hear the leather on those is also very stiff/thick, but hopefully it goes away at some point!
@@OliverJanShD Yeah the leather is super thick and I love that it will age much better than tumbled leather. But damn my left foot can barely take it anymore lol. It's just sad because I know that it has the potential to be soft as butter because my right shoe broke in beautifully and has no discomfort. So the shoes just keep teasing me

Hey, i find out solution to my pair of NB 550. I don't know if you can break them quick but i just loosen the first two laces (from the bottom). I don't feel any pain either.
i actually have a gr pair i wore a month and not pressure on my toe. it takes breaking in but right now its my most comfortable shoe and a great quiet flex
I have the same situation, both feet. Then I tried adding an insole to reduce the space between the front of the foot and the shoe, which made it fit better, and the pain was lessened, although it didn't go away completely, but the feeling was noticeably different.
I had very similar issue with my AJ1 where my right pinky toe hurts like hell. It happened from my 2nd or 3rd time wearing it and gradually went away after more mileage. I always put those wrapped white paper in the tow box area trying to avoid creasing. And I think that might help actually…. That helps the leather to expand and then consequently be softer, I guess? The way that you bend it, actually induces its crease and it sticks out when you walk.
@@OliverJanShD i think mine was in the right instead. It looks stunning. I have never worn sneakers all my life. Always been a belgian loafer kinda guy. But lately i have been crazy about sneakers particularly new balance. 550, 991, 327 etc

Yeah the 550 sizing is a bit odd. I’m a size 10.5 with EE wide feet. 10.5 fits me fine, but there is a little bit of heel slippage. If your feet are normal width or slightly narrow, I’d think a half size down should be fine.
@@OliverJanShD Yeah I agree on the heel slippage. Seems like half size down is the way to go. I also have wide feet. Tried to fit a true-to-size pair as it was the only one available where I live but still felt roomy around the toe-box area. Kinda reminds me of how Nike Air Force 1 feels like.
