This table arrived well packaged and on time. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxn94T8Mu1iMnsLCMNOI9srXSsLkI4JXKW Like another reviewer advised, I pulled everything out and made sure everything was included (everything was!). I built it alone and it took me about an hour. The color is great and for the price the lift part works well. As others have mentioned, it’s not the smoothest opening/closing, but it works. The screws do show, but I plan to order white sticker covers if that bothers us too much. Really happy with this table! UPDATE: it’s been over a year since we got this coffee table and we still love it! It gets HEAVY use as our dining table, foot rest, and school desk. Over time, the opening and closing mechanism has gotten smoother. I added a new photo with the white screw cover stickers. They blend in perfectly and make it look a little cleaner. 100% recommend!!!
I’m not sure what’s more impressive, your work or your selection of tools. Ok I lied. The tools. Nice shop setup. It must be a pleasure to work in a shop with a setup like that
man you really are blowing my mind.....im starting my own shop, im no carpenter but i am a welder so im gonna be making steel framed epoxy tables . you inspire me .
This added me to your channel AWESOME !!!!!!!!!!! I have a 8 ft section of tree one side flat one side burned out my Dad had and he has been gone 30 years this year, live edges and I want to do something with it, maybe a shelf and another piece as a coffee table. I think it is walnut but has maybe 1 to 2 inches burnt out in middle, you have given me such ideas, THANK YOU !!
Cool. thanks for you support .. sounds like you have a cool project. I would say give the edge a really clean as when you pour the resin small bits may come out of the burned edges and then be frozen in the resin for ever :( .. one trip is paint the resin on with a brush on all edge and around the edges before the big pour. let it almost set or if fully set you just need to key it with a find grit.
the price of the items considering how much the products cost to make it, its ridiculous ofc selling at them prices you can spend half a mill on the tools to make it easier
always enjoy finding someone that has both the design skills and the craftsmanship to create such an impressive result. It doesn't happen often, that's for sure
This table is absolutely beautiful. I love it and find it strange that I found that watching you make it was very relaxing and calming. Is that strange? Lol Thanks for sharing your beautiful artwork😍

You are all creating such creative things from wood which is so precious, you know is value ,how many yrs it takes a tree to grow & produce it. So I m asking how much effort is being put forward by you all in preserving the environment. How many people have to employed or inspired to take up that important job for the betterment of the world 🌎.
A table like that should sell for several thousand dollars, but most people compare it to the cheap factory junk that you can buy at Ikea for a fraction of the price. Anyway, I hope you got a fair price for it. Your work is beautiful!
Well done. This is one of the nicest live edge and epoxy tables I've seen, simply because you seem to have a good knowledge of colour and the care and foresight needed to properly combine mechanical lines with natural ones. I suspect either you're very well read in the field or there's a formal design education there. If not, you truly have an incredible gift. Many thanks for the video, it was a pleasure to watch.
Thank you so much for your kind words . What a lovely start to Sunday :) also for taking the time to comment.. I am self taught but have always been into design and architecture . Resin has opened new possibilities for me working with very figured "character "wood which I have alway loved but the style had become a bit chunky and rustic for my taste resin has really given it the modern kick it needed..
Great stuff. I know exactly what you mean. I always love finding new creative avenues, whether it be new techniques, materials or inspiration, it always sets the mind racing with new ideas. I hope you keep expanding your horizons, trying new things and finding ways to incorporate them into your beautiful pieces. Again, many thanks for the videos, I'll keep watching as long as you keep creating. All the best.
I did my first resin work on a small Yew side table at Christmas, inspired by your Malachite with Walnut round table. You music just works with the videos so well, like two complimentary art forms in perfect harmony! Bliss to watch!
Thank you:) You can now buy the music and help support the channel - www.etsy.com/uk/ManorWood/listing/621945849/mw-designs-music-from-youtube?Copy&ListingManager&Share&.lmsm&share_time=1529582685239
Wow what talented craftsman you are. I have seen lots of these being made a lot simpler than this. They look fab but your craftsmanship is i a league of its own. Stunning, thanks for sharing
Excellent work. That's all I can say. I have seen several other Epoxy filled and also glass covered raw slabs by other people. Looking forward to finding more of your videos. Keep up the excellent work.
When building anything using live edge slabs, the slab itself is only a part in the project. The support (legs) are a major point for eye appeal. This is a stunning example of creativity and artistic talent. 10 out of 10!
I'm a filipino.very much loving watching the craftmanship of this video.i redlly don't think that a set aside wooden slab be transform into beautiful and amazing craftmanship.here in the philippines some are wasting such opportunity.keep up the good works.
I adore the tools you have access to, and my my the end result is magnificent, and by the way, the legs do not suck! Great lovely artist and functional work. I think I now have a crush on you and your workroom and work !
Thank you :) .. I don't think they suck and have never seen a table like this before but its down to taste i guess. simple jointed leg with save a lot of time and money for sure Lol
Excellent job. Im not a carpenter but ive been surprised the way you used plane (towards)🤔. Never in my life seen that technique and after few seconds on google find out there is Japanese plane to use that way 😳 keep up good work :)
Very attractive, but your structural mounting seems very weak...from 3 points at the ends of a long piece of fractured wood, and all the weight is shearing on your domino pegs and not notched into or over the long axis of the legs. The legs were also a tight fit into the cutouts, which will tend to split the yew grain at that point. Mainly a decorative table, but any amount of weight on it would likely cause damage, like someone carelessly sitting on it at a party.
It’s a one off , for display really with epoxy added at the leg to top connection you could jump up and down on it and it would break . But I am using it to show what’s possible and only need a small Allen key to break it down it working very well for me creating a lot of interest at shows etc.. the 3 corners are stabilised with resin so will not give way
@@casperslaststandme5991 can you imagine how many cups of coffee, beers etc could come to grief at this table, especially the latter after a few have been imbibed..hic!
The legs sticking up at the corners in this fashion are indicative of a country style kitchen table rather than the high end art deco market the rest of the support struture would suggest, but enough fancy words it looks out of pleace and yup ya beers could come a croppa in no time ;)
What an amazing creation you truly have a gift you have a great eye your craftsmanship skills are out of this world your tool and workshop set up must have broke the bank but I’m sure you’ll be selling those one off master pieces with a hearty price tag to keep well out in front great job mate
Beautiful work! Well worth a subscribe after browsing your channel, massively jealous of your workshop too! I did my first epoxy table using glass cast 10 with good results, just about to do another now this glass cast50 has come out. What are you brushing on the edges at 00:56? Is this to "prime" the edges prior to the pour? Thanks, I look forward to watching more of your content!

Absolutely gorgeous, it’s good you are using English wood as it often feels ignored for cheaper imports.

This is just totally next level!!! $100,000 worth of tools...skill level 5000!! Jeez, im happy when i put together an Ikea Table:)

OK but don't know about the ends of the legs sticking up above the surface of the table...
