It's great to see caravaners helping out other caravaners. Good on you guys. I love your posts. You take us to some amazing places. And this was no exception. Thanks so much team. 😊
0:45 you only jack knife if you don't straiten your wheel when on the reversing line - when the aim is correct, straighten the steering wheel, its a fork lift in reverse. Lots of YT videos on how to do that. Always best to reverse on the driver's side unless you know how to use your mirrors.
Epic spot to camp up for a while . Sand dune drive footage is outstanding 🙌👊 But Jame’s “Old Mate” query …. Frigging priceless, had a us on the floor with laughter 😂 🤣😅
Great episode, good to get the van on the beach - what a spot. Now with Russell a cray fisherman, we will have to get you trying a Tassie cray, better than those small WA ones 😂 you did good with a small pot 👍 Have a great week Alexandra
Great to see the RO unit working. Planning on getting a Rainman unit for our van build. Have seen others pumping into small blowup pool first to get water closer to van and also silt drops to the bottom 😊
Crayfish is just the best! No need to tart it up with herbs and spices ( or cheese???) that ruins the true flavour. Gorgeous campsite and well worth the effort to get there!
If I ever get stuck I hope you are around you can help me and I’ll tell you about an ej Holden and two sheets of rio two kids to get to our shed in the sand dunes😂
Hi Simon ,liz n kids Just wondering how often do you have to change filters and what the cost is, would be greatly appreciated as a mate builds systems for housing in remote area's and when he comes back in a month would like to have some of the homework done. Cheers Love ya show watch every New series Keep up the great work and have a lovely time Wazza
Hey Simon. I see that you guys are living the dream as always 🙂 I'm guessing your power system was more than up to the task of providing all your power needs during your stay on the beach in particular, along with the (prolonged) operational use of your reverse osmosis filtration system? I'm also guessing that if/when you get your new van, you'll be removing and reinstalling your water filtration system on it?
Thanks, Rich. We have pretty close to unlimited power providing the sun is shining. Where we are at this time of year it's pretty good. We still need to be careful in cloudy weather though. We're still deciding what to do with the de-salinator in the new setup.
Not sure if you have said but how many litres of water are you able to process per hour through the system. That camp site look beautiful. im very jealous.
It varies each time. We like trying new things and testing different options. The last changeover was an upgrade, so cost a bit more. The next one will be more cost neutral.
Was going to say ,hope ya using the D-Sal lol proof of concept has become a reality in a Van situation 2 years in the makin 👍but how much ya D-Saling 20lt of pure fresh Pioneers H2O good side line for the 2 boys to make pocket money 💰,, Get ya water 💦 fresh fresh water 💦 made today hot off the pump 🤪🤪

Thank you! Really appreciate the support, cheers.
In 3 words...Stunning...Stunning...STUNNING!
Wow, thank you!

For sure, but it's a totally different scenario in soft sand

Sounds good!
Ohh p.s
Looking to do system on a Ute set-up for myself and dog traveling remote n aus soon. Cheers, wazza
Great episode. That RO unit - how good! Definetly the way to go.
It sure is!

Sounds great! Blow up pool would be a good idea if you can pump it far enough. Rainman units look like a great option, but a lot more expensive.
Epic content cheers
Thanks!
Great episode again
Thanks!
Best time of the year to be up there just before the busy season. Enjoyed the video thanks.
It sure is! Thanks!
Beautiful spot. Thanks for more info on the desalination plant. Hubby is keen to do one for us.
Any time!
Crayfish is just the best! No need to tart it up with herbs and spices ( or cheese???) that ruins the true flavour. Gorgeous campsite and well worth the effort to get there!
Thanks for the tips!

Reverse osmosis is wonderful! So good to see it in action.
Thanks!

The sediment pre-filters are cheap, how often you replace them depends on how clean the seawater coming in is. The RO membrane should last 5-10 years.
Nice vid....we are Ningaloo bound next week...
Need more info on your desalination setup...cheers.
We've done a couple of vids about it now. We'll give it a good run at Ningaloo though.

Great Vid... one day....
Thanks mate
Drown cray in fresh water then cook in salty water. Boil water put cray in. When back to boil 15 minutes depending on cray size 😊
That's pretty much what we did here. Worked out ok, still think they're over-rated though.
@@TheLifestylePioneers i prefer Abalone, fresh thinly sliced and fried with garlic butter. Eat straight from pan with cold beer

Around 60L/hr 👍
I'm just wondering how you cost justify changing vans after only a year or so. What is your budgeted changeover cost to the next van?
It varies each time. We like trying new things and testing different options. The last changeover was an upgrade, so cost a bit more. The next one will be more cost neutral.

Love it! Thanks mate. All worth it in the end
Did you build that desalination thing or did you buy it ready made ?
If so, where do you buy it.
It's a kit I bought from Water Makers Australia. They've given us a discount code as well "TLP10" if you're interested. www.watermakers.com.au/buy-now
Thx 4 that. Will look into it. 😊
It's the 80lph membrane with the BYO Karcher pressure washer.
Fly nets?
Funnily enough, we carried them for 2 years and never used them, now we don't have them 😂
So... whats 20L of fresh RO water worth on the beach? $20.00? 😂
Has to be, right?
Out of the mouths of babes , old mate turns up everywhere 🙄
He's a classic.
I'm with you Simon, crayfish is so over rated.
Yeah, not my favourite
