I feel like Bill having longer hair would help sell it better but doubt this will live up to the original. Who knows maybe it'll be a fun time. The original is in my Top 20 movie list.
Interesting, what’s that list looking like?
Honestly I like the short hair but I get where you're coming from
Realistically, I don't think anything will ever live up to the original. I'm still willing to give this one the benefit of the doubt until I see the full thing.
City of angels was ok salvation was not good but entertaining wicked prayer was worse than jaws the revenge
He’s got a mullet, just hard to see in the trailer
This looks like Deadpool if Deadpool wasn't a comedy
Why does everyone keep saying this is a remake/ reboot?? The Crow is a COMIC BOOK SERIES that was adapted into a movie. So in reality this is just another try at adapting that comic book series. Whether it’s loosely based off it or not, still a different adaptation of the comic books
Ah cause they are using the same main characters from the original… thus reboot/remake
@@darkerthanknivesIt’s a weird adaptation tho since the look and story is more based on another Crow, but they’re using the first Crow’s name
I don't think most people are aware . I borrowed the comics from a friend years ago and barely remember them . I think the story was a lot different in the film.
Either way they should promote this as an adaptation , but I guess that depends on how much they actually use from the source material.
It's a mix of both things
yeah so it is a reboot lol
Brandon Lees crow is a phenomenal adaptation of the original comic book series. Im curious to see how this one differs/ aligns with that one as well as the original source material
Apparently this one is closer to the source material.
@@tefweebzI one read the original once a long time ago, but I don’t think it is. I think it’s actually even farther from it than the ‘94 one was.
@@tefweebz 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 sure
@@thewolf01x95 No matter what you feel about this movie, that is an annoying and unnecessary amount of emojis.
@@6li8storm40you should read it then again
The action looks pretty solid in this.
looks like generic crap man...
That’s really the only nice thing I could say about this trailer the action looks good but everything else looks dumb af
Well here’s the thing sometimes trailers are bad but the movie is good
I will respect the fact that they ain't shying away from the action and violence. Least, it won't be PG-13.
I'd be out for Revenge if somebody gave me that bad Juggalo haircut too
🤣
😆
LMAOOO
😂😂😂😂😂
I freaken snored laughing reading this 🤣
I wanted Bill to be the new DCU Joker but now I may reconsider that decision.
The violence and action looks promising. Hope the movie has emotion and heart like the original. I’m definitely giving this movie a chance, why not?
It's your money not mine 🤣🤣🤣
I have to give you so much credit for being completely honest with this reaction, because I feel like literally every other reaction video has been overly negative, from people who seem like they don't really know the original, yet say "This is the one movie that shouldn't be remade, this is so disrespectful to Brandon Lee."
The only people I’ve seen who say that are fans of the original and most of them are also fans of the graphic novel.
@@6li8storm40well fans of the novel should actually love this trailer, if not well they clearly didn‘t understand The Crow
@@Dragonflee100 So, the graphic novel was boring and generic? I guess I won’t bother reading it then.
@@6li8storm40 that means the first movie was boring to you😂
@@Dragonflee100 No. It doesn’t. It means this trailer looks boring and generic. It has terrible dialogue, and no atmosphere. The leads have no chemistry.
What I’m saying is that lots of people who like the graphic novel agree with me about these things.I don’t know why you think they should automatically live this or that not liking it means they don’t understand The Crow.
The original is one of my all time favorites. Was my 7th grade 🎃 costume. This remake took FOREVER to get off the ground (Momoa was so close to getting started and they were in pre production and shot test footage). I’m definitely curious.
I can’t wait for The Crow Remake.
Just to point out…
You can like to different takes on the same story.
Love your content!
This doesn’t look good to me bill is a good actor but the look just doesn’t look right but I’ll still see it sometimes movies are better than their trailer
@@jimbowlan5804im not knocking your take at all but there is a run i believe its called fear:lament
if you look at the style of the crow in that honestly minus the tats the guy looks pretty spot on so im thinking thats the place they took infulence although i could be wrong
The crow should've just been a one and done, no sequels and definitely not a remake. RIP Brandon Lee
i thought this was MGK😭
Agreed. ❤
This isn't a remake, it's a readaptation... Don't hold the original up to it and watch it as it's own movie
Agreed.
@@clintonkildepsteen3982
When you have the same character that a legendary actor literally died portraying, change up everything about it, and claim it’s a remake (it’s own Wikipedia page says it’s a remake) then people will compare it to the original. There have been other Crows besides Eric Draven that they could’ve used, or just simply made up a new one. But they’re completely changing up a legendary story and making it worse
As someone who has the original in their top 10 fav movies of all time
I’m hoping this movie doesn’t end up as bad as some people are expecting
It definitely looks better than the other 2 crow movies that came out after the Brandon Lee one
@@Aussboi we don’t talk about those
@@Aussboi wow, what I high bar...this movie looks like complete shit
@@TheDeftones821 if it’s better than the last 2 I’ll be okay. Will it top the first one, hellll no. But I’ll take one that’s better than the others that came after
@@TheDeftones821 I’m a fan of the crow but I’m not as big of a fan as a lot of the people hating on this one. I’m fine with that, I get their position and I respect it. I just don’t hold the same zeal for it
Why the auto tune at the end of the trailer? LOL
Travis Scott
It’s part of the song that’s running throughout. It’s Take What You Want by Post Malone, featuring Ozzy and Travis Scott. Travis Scott uses a lot of autotune effects.
It looks ok but missing the gothic dark atmosphere of the the original. It looks like a generic revenge action movie
Yeah I don’t even hate the look of Eric in this but I just wish the movie as a whole had a more distinct gothic and dark aesthetic
James O’Barr. “My metaphor is that there is a Bela Lugosi Dracula and there’s a Francis Ford Coppola Dracula, they use the same material, but you still got two entirely different films. This one’s going to be closer to Taxi Driver or a John Woo film, and I think there’s room for both of them - part of the appeal of the Crow comics after all is that they can tell very different stories after all."
This quote is from 2014 when it was supposed to be a readaptation of the comic book. This is VERY far removed from that.
@@skepticalbadger 100% completely irrelevant. Do you know how vastly different Bella Lugosis Dracula and Francis Ford Coppolas Draculas were and are? Did you just ignore the last line? “Part of the appeal of the Crow comics is that they can tell very different stories.”. His point stands the test of time time. And the fan boy losers will just have to deal with it. 🤷🏻♂️
Thank you. My thoughts exactly 👍
@@joelamaro4525 better comparison would be Heath Ledgers Joker and Jared Leto's Joker...this looks like Jared Leto's Joker to me 🤡
@@wolfcorpse you poor sweet summer child. The original crow comic he looked like Ralph macchio kind of in drag. With a joker esque black magic marker smile. You also might want to look up The Crow Wild Justice. And, again, Bella Lugosis Dracula and Francis Ford Coppola Dracula looked nothing alike. Looked like two entirely different entities. But fanboys are gonna fanboy I guess.
I made the original The Crow ("The Crow: A Funeral March"). A short film shot on VHS in WI in 1991. My wife & I both dislike the look of the re-make.
Is it online anywhere I could check it out?
Really Respect your truth dude, tysm, its quite fresh to hear (which is absolutely mad in itself). You and cody is all i ever get advice from.
I love it. It looks pretty good.
I’m going to go see it. I’m not going to compare it to the original
Feels like more of a John Wick vibe just with more makeup.
I thought the same thing!
Then they should have just gotten the John Wick director instead.
Ehhm yeah it‘s The Crow, it should be like that
This Looks Like It Could Be Pretty Good, But The Original Is One Of My Favorite Movies So It’s Gonna Be Hard To Beat
I think we're all in the same boat and we should really try to go in without any expectations or comparisons to the original, will set us up for failure!
@@anthonystach6434 You’re absolutely right
The original Crow (1994) had a really gritty look to it, and while this Remake has ultra violence, it kind of screams more John Wick than The Crow. Part of the Crow is that he’s literally supposed to be undead. Instead this just comes across as a dude with powers that he can’t die like Wolverine.
Well yeah the Crow is more like John Wick
There are 4 movies and a tv series that only went for 1 season. All based on James O'barr comic.
This looks different and has interesting vibe for sure, if you want the original movie ? it will always be there, you want the comics? same thing. I actually love the first 2 movies and liked what they did in the 3rd, then the fourth was a bit wacky lol but this just follows that idea of making it something a little different than before. Love he's got a katana and the blood looks awesome. I'm looking forward to see what they do just cause I am a big crow and spirit of vengeance type characters are some of my favorites.
Yeah, but most people objected to the tv show, and the sequels weren’t popular. They also weren’t about Eric Draven. I don’t get why they gave this character Eric’s name.
The crow is one of my favorite movies ever, can’t say I’m suuper thrilled on this, BUT was expecting less, so Ima give it a fair chance, might end up being a surprise
Honesty, it looks good, and I'll give it a watch before i judge it like others have already
Definitely a good idea me however I’m bias as hell to the og and I’m already nitpicking but I hope I can put my bias aside
@@a_waff1es_0pinion76 Same here. I will always prefer Brandon as the Crow. But I'm still giving this movie a chance
I’ll watch it on streaming, but it doesn’t look good. If the trailer is any indication, the writer (writers?) surgically removed any hint of personality from every character.
I don’t see why the hate, this look pretty good to me, especially since the crow is an actual dark-gothic story.
I have a lot of nostalgia for the first movie, so I will judge it on its own. Also I have the same shirt as you so we both have great taste
Looks a lot like a John Wick movie.
Well yeah it‘s The Crow
@@Dragonflee100 What does that mean lol?
It looks good but its not going to be better than the original
That was a given. I agree I think this looks good too though.
Hate it looks awful
Nostalgia is a hell of a drug.
It looks like crap
Honestly the first one isn't a great movie let's be real
This looks extremely forgettable to me. I like the original a fair bit (not a superfan), especially for its style and aesthetic. This feels to me like all the 2007-2012 generic remakes of everything.
I am with you Sean. I don’t have the emotional connection to the original, but I appreciate it, that being said this trailer has me hyped for this movie
I enjoyed this trailer. I will see it opening night. Plus I was big fan of the original.
I'm just gonna take it as the creator of the comic said.. it's a re adaptation, like the many Dracula movies we have, which all use the same source material, but different films. Re adaptation not remake. And it looks like it will be good.
This is one of my fathers favorite movies so I have a decent connection to the crow and I'm quite excited for this. As someone that's not completely against films being remade, simply against the exact same style and interpretation being redone, I'm happy that the movie won't just be a shot for shot remake and will hopefully have different perspectives.
Looks like a MIDfest
I wouldn't call it mid before watching the movie 🤭
I’ve never seen the original The Crow. This looks SO good. I’m super excited to see this!
You need to watch the original before you watch the new one. It's very good!
@@jasoncanby2525 ok. Good to know
I never see original movie but I really like this trailer
Definitely missing the style, aesthetic, and atmosphere of the original but I'll still check it out
I like it...
I watched the original film when I was a child i absolutely love it the 2024 version looks so interesting and very different i will check it out i am a fan of bill
I'll definitely see this
The original crow is my favorite movie of all time and I read the graphic novel after seeing the movie. While I respect this reinterpretation and think Skarsgard is a brilliant actor, I am disappointed for multiple reasons. I can understand the changes to the source material for a more contemporary take but my biggest gripe is that the design aesthetic of the character in this film is just bad. One of the worst ideas of all time would be, lets make this Eric Dravens look inspired by Post Malone/Lil Peep. Arguably, they should have made this an all new character and left Eric Draven to Brandon Lee.
The trailer looks cool and I think had they not changed the character aesthetic like this they would be way better off. I also think that the color palette should also be a bit more monochrome like the first film. After all the comic was black and white…I would be lying if I said that it wasn’t hard to accept new ideas and a drastic reimagining for a character and film that is so special to me and countless others. That being said, I will see this film with an open mind because I am a fan of the franchise and James O’barr. I want to support it, good or bad, and hope that with all of the negative feedback so far, it has redeeming qualities upon release. Skarsgards performance could be the only saving grace in my humble opinion.
Lastly, I see a lot of comments like “this is John Wick disguised as the crow.” The John Wick franchise is heavily inspired by The Crow. The director of the John Wick films, Chad Stahelski, was one of Brandon Lees body/stunt doubles in the original. Without The Crow I don't know if you get John Wick… or at least the visceral and visual films that we got.
If it wasn't a reboot or remake. I would be more behind it. But it don't seem like it follows the comic book. Feels like it's a sequel more them anything.
I'm gonna watch it but I'm VERY!! hesitate. Went back a watched original a few days ago and still an all timer.
Two hours of pain all at once, I'll pass.
Looks like every lionsgate movie
Honestly, it's the Leto Joker look that's the hang-up but the movie doesn't seem bad going by this trailer (- ^ )
Surprised is my first reaction, doesn’t look the train wreak I thought it was gonna be
I’m excited for this movie as it looks awesome .😎 I think it will still be respectful to the legacy of the crow that Brandon Lee had when he portrayed the crow.🐦⬛
This looks like crap compared to the original. The crow is a movie that’s good for it’s time. It cannot be duplicated. It just can’t. Instead of keeping things original they give us sequels we didn’t ask for.
The crow is one of my favorite movies ever
"You were given the power of a god" Yep. The power to get shot and get back up again. The power of a god, or pre-adamantium Wolverine with a cold.
The trailer caught my attention but I'll check it out. But the first one love the first one
Some of the apprehension is that this movie was done and sitting on the shelf apparently for a couple years. That’s never a good sign. And yeah, they also seem to be trying hard to make this version look “cool” re: Eric Draven specifically.
The original Crow was about how a man loved his fiancé so much he came back from the dead to get revenge for her murder. The love story is the core part of the Crow…
Wow, a trailer reaction without the unnecessary reactions. Just a dude watching a video. You earned another sub.
Lil Crow🥁🤣
But like the trailer🥁✌️
I’m excited for it. I rewatched the original the other week and it definitely wasn’t as good as I remember so I’m down to see a new take on it.
When florida joker gets wolverine powers
I have the same feeling. I wanted to see The Crow because of Rapid Fire with Powers Boothe (What a cool name) and Showdown in Little Tokyo with Dolph Lundgren and Brandon Lee. Both are/were great action movies. The Crow was awesome. This version also looks awesome. I appreciate how this Crow doesn't tell jokes and looks more intimidating.
Brandon Lee's turning in his ghostly grave.
even if the movie is bad. I think it'll have fun, dumb action and I'll be entertained at least
I have never seen the original film but I am already getting Constantine vibes from it, and that isn’t a good thing!
It also doesn’t help that Bill Skarsgard looks like a worse knockoff of Jared Leto’s Joker.
This is a adaptation of the book and not the movie that is why they chose a certain look for him but I am still mixed on it.
I think this looks good and is doing enough to set itself apart from the original. I think both versions can exist.
I obviously love the original and RIP brandon lee.
I really do hope this production sees it way to screens without anything happening to anyone involved with it.
showdown in little tokyo was a banger, but wasn't the biggest fan off the original crow, I like the vibe of the trailer will give it a go but will be there with low expectations 😀
I'm trying to be optimistic. It's definitely a different take, but I'm a fan of Bill so I'm gonna see it
It's going to be huge.
It looks good. I only just saw the original a couple weeks ago and I thought it was good. I didn’t think it was amazing or anything but I liked it. So, I think this movie looks good
The only reason why this is getting hate is because people are comparing it to the original.... Dont compare it, its a different take on a similar premise... Watch it as its own thing, id rather this than an attempt at a shot for shot remake... That being said, im not crazy about the look of him but the movie looks pretty good even tho i feel like we just watched the full movie in sequence
I’m not exactly hating on it, but I don’t like the trailer, because it awful.
Generic R rated action movie time.
As far as his work is based on people in the punk scene now if you're not familiar with that then you wouldn't understand it. Considering that that's what the original Crow was based on how the punk scene was THEN!
I adore the original. This one actually looks intriguing. I’m excited to give it a try.
First, I’ve loved the song in the trailer for a long time “Take What you Want” Post Malone and Ozzy Osbourne is such a fire song!
Second, this movie looks like such a vibe and I can’t wait to experience it.
Third, while I prefer the look of Eric from the OG better, I don’t hate this look.
Finally, the action looks great and Bill Skarsgard is a fantastic actor in everything I’ve seen him in. The guy definitely goes all in so I feel like he’s gonna bring it to this one. No argument that it will be better, but I feel like it will be distinct enough that it might get its own cult audience.
Looks great
I've read the comic and seen the original. I like the trailer but not the look of the character. It's supposed to be more comic accurate and I hope it is. I like that they're giving Shelly and Eric a backstory. It's definitely made for gen z/ gen Alpha. It looks alright. I'm definitely going to go see it.
Many are going to hate because it’s going to be a little different. The original has its issues as well. There has been plenty of versions of the crow made but it’s finally nice to see it get the budget it deserves.
Looks great 🎉
This looks like a supernatural Charles Bronson film.
The post Malone song mix is the best part of this trailer
Looks sick as fuck!
He looks like a mix between Lisbeth from Girl With the Dragon Tattoo and Dante from the 2013 Devil May Cry game remake.
People have been crapping on this but honestly this looks way better than it has any right to. I'm not a huge fan of the original though. I respect it more than enjoy it.
The editor of this trailer needs a raise
I’m a huge fan of the original. I’m not super happy with the make up but I’m hoping this lives up to The Crow. Look Brutal.
I have never seen any Crow film. I’ve heard the original is amazing. This new one looks really solid to me. Should I watch all four before seeing this remake?
Yes and if you watch the 1st trust me you will not want to see this crap
Just watch the first one.sequels were garbage.
Brandon fan since Showdown In Little Tokyo before I knew he was Bruce's son.
I owned the graphic novels before the movie came out.
I saw the first film with Brandon Lee, and for the period, it essentially captured what it could, and Brandon was impeccable in the role
NEITHER is true to the comic, except in spirit
That being said, complaining about this remake, which actually looks good, would be like spitting on Denzel for remaking Man on Fire
Or saying on Caesar Romero or Jack Nicholson can play the Joker, when Heath Ledger is the PERFECT Joker
Or, in the same vein, saying no one else can play the Joker ever again due to Heath Ledger
I’ll leave that right there
I've always enjoyed the first movie it's not one of my favorite movies of all time but I did like it. I've been looking forward to this one until the pictures but after this trailer I'm very happy it looks gritty it looks dark and I hope it does very well . Who knows if this does well maybe we can get some decent sequels to this reboot
Tbh, I think the original is alright. For me, I'm mixed on the reboot. Like, I watched the original a few years ago for the first time, my parents love it. I watched it, and thought it was alright. My parents say it's because I've been "spoiled" by how action movies and stuff are now. And that may very well be the case, but I watched the original, taking it as its own movie, trying to not let the hype behind the original sway my opinion. And it's ok. And with this reboot, uh, idk. I get why people are mad about the Brandon Lee thing. But I'm also just like, ok.
I don't think he has the best look for the Crow but yeah, it looked like something I'd like to check out. Skarsgard is a really good actor I'm willing to let him try.
In all fairness it looks pretty good. If he wasn’t supposed to be Draven I’d be a bit excited.
Gta 6 joker finna find a new lawsuit here💀
The Crow looks lame. I enjoyed the original, I seen it twice.
I really love Bill's look but I wish they had him look more like the original. If not then just make this The Crow 5 and make him another character because that isn't Eric Draven but I am sold thanks to the trailer and Ozzy Osbourne.
I agree with you.. I’m a huge fan of the graphic novel and thought Brandon Lee was a terrible crow. I’m actually excited for this. Original film had terrible acting and campy villains. Most of the people commenting negatively have never read the graphic novel. It’s amazing they are married to the original film. It honestly sucked balls.
i don't know as a huge fan of the original movie this remake seems unnecessary in my opinion.
I am where you are on this.. but its another time they put the name of the original on it. Follow somewhat the same story.. and update it to todays era.. i might watch it just to see. Skarsgaard is entertaining on screen. Who knows. Might be a surprise
Regardless if we want to see it or not the movie is coming out this summer so being negative and saying the movie should never have been made is pointless.
hate it
Agree
