He makes an excellent point. Britney never met the threshold for a probate conservatorship. Probate conservatorships are for people who literally cannot feed, clothe or house themselves. California has mental health conservatorships, but the conservator doesn’t have control/access to the conservatee’s money. One can only assume why Britney’s dad didn’t file for a mental health conservatorship…

It doesn't need be expert to see that. I never understood how USA law can do that. It was clearly she was only stressed.. so many artists did a lot worse and nothing happens. And I do think the same, James is not that smart, there are a lot more powerful people there that deserve be punished.

Also celebrities with way worse issues more than severe stress and they’re never put into a conservatorship...not that they need one but Britney really did not need one! And she was understandably stressed for perfectly valid reasons.

Ms.Spears is a 37 year old woman. She is not developmentally disabled. Apparently the reason for this 13 year conservatorship is the fortune that Ms.Spears has earned soley by her great talent. A poor or middle class woman without money would not receive such interference in her life. Many artists engage in behavior that their parents would prefer that don't like, and artists engage in behavior that society may not find average. So what? I haven't heard that this woman has harmed anyone.
Gotta love how so many people are all "Free Britney" when there have been other people who've been held hostage and endured much worse than she has, like Elizabeth Smart or Jaycee Dugard.
