How to cut a round party cake into equal easy to serve portions

We frequently get asked how to cut a round cake. Some of our customers seem to opt for a square cake instead of a round cake because they think it is easier to cut. If this compromises the design of the cake this seems silly. So we demonstrate how easy it is to cut a round cake into small portions to serve to your guests.

Thanks for this video, the cake looks delicious, but if you look at 0.33 the slice on the top left is clearly disproportionate to the bottom right. Any other suggestions for how I could cut it?

Thanks for the comment Amy. You can cut the cake however is easiest for you this was just a suggestion. Cut it like a pizza if you find it easier, it just becomes quite difficult if you do that with a 10 inch cake.
When we tell people about the portions for our cake, we do not count the very corner portions, (the smaller ones as you mention in your comment) these pieces are extra bonus pieces, not intended to be served as equal portions 😊
