Finally! Reasonably cut pieces! I get that wedding cakes are supposed to be small pieces, but me and my family love cake way too much! 😂 We like taking our time to have it with our coffee at the end of a party or gathering. Thank you so much for showing this version of cutting a cake 😁
I bet if you cut it the same, it would be even bigger pieces. I bet you could get 4 slices on the ends and 5 slices on the 2 middle sections instead of 4 slices each. So, 18 slices instead of 14. At home, we always slice wedges. Everyone loves the frosting. Usually 12 servings on an 8" or 9" cake. Maybe 14 if some people ask for just a sliver. Lol.
thank you, but those slices are not 2"x2" , because your cake is 4" tall. Those slices should be cut in 1/2. Your slices here are 2'x4". a double layer 8' should yield 14 or 28 pieces so a 4 layer should always yield 28 or 48 pieces.

For a party I'd just cut the round cake like it's round. If you want square pieces, make a square cake. It's easy to cut a cake like that into 16 pieces. That way all pieces have equal frosting.
