Jules expressing his love and admiration for his girlfriend was so very heartwarming. Happy for you, lad ❤
That was a really sweet Jules. I´m happy you are proud of your girlfriend 😄
Congrats to Kerry/Carey/Carrey (I've seen it spelt SO MANY WAYS)! Its nice to be supportive of ur partner Jules. Plus I enjoy when YTs talk about their personal life.
The Unfinished Swan deserves a mention.
Screw Rival Schools! They can bring that back AFTER they bring back Darkstalkers!
No!! You are wrong 😂😂 Rival Schools is the Goat!!
I was surprised that El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron wasn't up here. The game is never talked out and honestly, it's one of the most gorgeous games I've played purely on aesthetic alone.
8 video games whose level designs have aged badly or 8 individual levels in video games that have aged badly
Kentucky Route Zero is insane to me it released after years, even influncing games before it finished
At this point can we really call Okami underrated?
Compared to Minecraft or the pizza bear game yeah
According to What Culture Gaming, Okami is underrated. But to people who are fans of Japanese Mythology, Okami is not underrated. Heck, I don’t know much about Japanese Mythology and I’m a fan of the game.
I work at a game store, and considering how often I have to recommend Okami to people who have literally never heard of it; I'm gonna have to say yeah... it's pretty underrated.
I was thinking about that. Considering there is no Okami 2, yeah I'd say Okami is underrated.
@@jiblitin1520There's Okamiden for the DS, which is a direct sequel.
But the fact that you didn't seem to know that kinda proves your point.
Gravity Rush is also a gorgeous game inspired by the art style of Moebius.
The title immediately made me think of the saboteur. I used to love that game
Dino Crisis is cool but if we're talking about neglected Capcom franchises I'd much rather see a new Mega Man game
Top 10 scariest video game alien races you would not want to come across in DEEP space.
Sin City comes to mind when I saw Madworld. Valiant Hearts would be another underrated game. Thank you Jules and Psy for all the awesome and positive content each week.
The notion that the original Mac didn't have color graphics because people "didn't know how", when it was preceded by a whole GENERATION of color systems - including the C64, the Apple ][, the CoCo, and the Trash-80 (not to mention all of the dedicated game consoles) - is hilarious.
Everyone has that one game they wish they could completely forget to play it with fresh eyes again... Antichamber is that game for me. Even speed ran it a bit just to get a bit more replayability out of it.
It's my birthday this month Jules so how about something like "Top Ten Biggest/Best Parties in Video Games"
Love the content as always!
One of my favorites I have enjoyed playing with friends is a small Hide & Seek game called Just Act Natural. A small game with an art style that adopts Stop Motion Animation. All the little NPCs are adorable!
Now we need a video on games where you climbing like a pro.
I need a second part, that includes Banner Saga
I’m not rockclimber, but my youngest sister does it fearlessly.
When she was about 10 years old and barely three feet tall I saw her scale about a 3 story structure in all of about 5 minutes. No hesitation, she just scaled it, hit the bell and descended back down like it ain’t no thang. I was more scared than she was…
When I saw the title of this video I immediately thought MadWorld. Fun game!
I love MadWorld
Games I’ve played that are underrated with unique art styles are:
The Neverhood,
XIII,
Time and Eternity,
Ni No Kuni,
Viewtiful Joe
Valkyria Chronicle probably no longer counts as underrated, but at the time its pencil-sketch style was very novel.
Here's a list suggestion : Great games on 8-bit computers / 16-bit computers. There's a whole lot of classic Amiga, C64, Spectrum (and so on) games that are these days largely forgotten.
Exile on the Amiga. The original Sim City. Cybercon III. Deuteros. Impossible Mission. Paradroid. Turrican (later ported to SNES, but originally on the Amiga.) Boulder Dash. The Sentinel. Speedball 2. Silkworm (an arcade port, but still great.) Raid on Bungeling Bay. Cannon Fodder.
There's thousands of games eclipsed by the coming of Nintendo and the modern dominance of the PC, but there were a few years where PC gaming was terrible and other home computing platforms had all the best games.
Cheers! Cool story about girlfriend and shared hobby!
8 Games where the villain winning would have been better for everyone
Not sure if you'll agree but I would have put both Gorogoa and Toem on this list. Gorogoa is a beautifully elegant puzzle game with hand drawn illustrations from Jason Roberts and Toem had just as much character as some of the others on your list with a quirky black & white art style that reminded me of paper cutouts.
Great stuff as always Jules and I love Psy's very cute Um, Actually moment. Love and light to you both.
Wasn't on the list but I loved the art style for Gris
I thought Gris sold pretty well, making it not underrated.
Banner saga, perfectly captures the feel of medieval art.
Hearing Jules being very proud of his girlfriend honestly made my night.
8 boss battles against tanks that you fight on foot.
Another underrated game I would have put on here would be Hylics and Hylics 2. Both have a super unique artstyle and are really fun imo
Congrats to your partner on the climb, Jules! I still haven't gotten to climb outdoors, because the nearest crag is about an 8 hour drive away, but I work at a climbing gym. Taking a trip is definitely on my to-do list for next year.
Big yes for rival schools, that was a truly bonkers fighting game
What about decisions you were supposed to hate, but secretly loved
Since halloween is coming up 8 spooky video games that don't rely on jumpscares or gore to tell their story. I love little nightmares and lost in random due to the atmosphere so would love some spooky feeling game recommendations without the scares.
great games made by only 1 person
Great idea, while currently at just the one chapter I would nominate indigo park which is a really good mascot horror game set in a theme park and features a very charismatic au raccoon called rambley
Madworld, an aesthetic so good the Blood Angels have adopted it for all their official media 😄
Honorable mention to a little game called “Seasons” 👓 🚲 the art style in that game would make a grown man shed tears.
The thought of Rival Schools, redone with the SFIV engine, makes me moist frankly. 😅 Honourable mention for Dragon's Crown Pro. Fun, straightforward game, looks like an oil painting come to life. Love it.
Dino Crisis, Darkstalkers, Rival Schools but with them as adults in corporate jobs called Rival Corps, Power Stone but modern day with the descendants of the Power Stone crew. Also Marvel vs Capcom
10 cancelled games from AAA franchises
Sable has an elite art style from beginning to end ❤
Still need to play sable at some point I love the art style and driving around on a hover bike will always be cool
Jules, you can tell us as much about your adorable relationship as you like. Haters can always skip forward.
That aside, have you considered moving that LED light above your head? If you put it off to the side above one of your posters, you could have a cool "rim light" effect. Also, it's a bit distracting where it is.
10 games that get harder the more you loose
Love the shout out to the girlfriend. Jules!❤ Never a bad time to appreciate the ones you love
No inside??? I was really expecting to to see it in this list that game is a work of art imo
The artwork of Sable reminds me of Nausicca: Valley of the Wind.
7 most wholesome in-game relationships (bouncing off Jules' intro)
Based solely on visuals, Harold Halibut is Anton Chigurh in disguise
I can't believe "The Master's Pupil" wasn't on this list.
Mostly a good list though.
X games where the in-game lore was massive - i.e.: Baldurs Gate, Diablo, Elder Scrolls etc 😊
I'm fairly new to the channel, and I have been delving into the archive (I love these list videos while I'm doing the dishes) but have you ever done a list of the best games stranded on defunct hardware? Well at least officially stranded
Mans said "cleaning" and I immediately burst out laughing. Whoops. 😅
Shout out to Kerry (Ceri?)
Well done to the girlfriend 🤘 me and mine did a 418ft abseil the other week 👌
I own 5 of these games, but have only finished one of them (Sable). Although, one of these days I'm going to have another try at KRZ.
Love being called a little demon. Makes me sound WAY more badass than I really am. And Jules, what an awesome story about your girlfriend. Congrats to her for doing an amazing job!
You mention "Clover" and totally forget that You were just talking about Okami earlier in the Video :)
Awww I love the climbing story, so cute and I wish I was more fit to go climb xD
You gushing about how proud you are of your girlfriend is so incredibly sweet!
The Unfinished Swan
Yeah I’ve heard of that it sounds a really clever idea for a game, another similar idea is a game called beyond eyes where you play as a young blind girl at the start of the game only yourself and your house are visible with everything else just white but you can reveal more and more of the game world by triggering sounds of things in the world i really enjoyed it as it has a nice painted look to it
Hottest videogame antagonists
One I recommend that is Hauntii.
Video game weapons that made you feel like a badass only to have them ripped away from you. Ex. Jump pack from space marines 1.
"WHO WANTS A PIECE OF THE CHAMP!?"
The only game I would add to the list would be Pentiment.
Oldest video game heroes.
😮😮😮😮
I think you should do a list for the FUNNIEST video games. Games that will literally have you laughing! Example could be Skullmonkeys
"NOBODY SAID THERE'D BE MATH!"
I bet Jules gives great hugs.
Jules is so awesome and happy and it makes me feel awesome and happy.
Most meaningful/beautiful in-game sunsets?
Im so glad Harold Halibut made the list fantastic game.
8 video game pets you wish were real.
Jules, let's be real, if any one of Capcom's IPs are likely to get a new game in the near future, it's gonna be MegaMan X.
Solar Ash?
Return of the obra dinn might be my favorite game
Thank goodness you're here
Should add the dream machine to the list
If you wanna have a commenter edition of this, I'd like to nominate Manifold Garden
I was hoping to see The Light In The Darkness
Wtf that was the cutest intro ever
Jules praising his gf was beautiful
To hell with Dino crisis give me okami breath of fire and mega man
8 Great JRPG franchises other than Final Fantasy.
I love Mad World.
Games that have an egregious amount of side content
Mega-man legends needs a remake
8 games that prove love exists or reinforces a belief in "love"
How about 10 lawsuits that changed gaming?
10 times the first gameplay trailer pulled the brakes on the hype train. Current example unfortunately is Alien: Rogue Incursion. I was super hyped by the announcement, but the recent trailer .... Hmm.
Death Stranding in the sea of forgettable AAA blockbusters? Don’t think so
I loved Okami
I'm sorry but Okami failed b/c of the 25 minute unskippable opening cutscene with loud gibberish noises that made me want to tear my ears off! Not to mention the Boss rush at the end where if you fail you have to do all the bosses of the game in a row again.
Top 5 Transformers Games.
I looked but I didn't see Magic & Mayhem on this list...Can we get a top 10 claymation style games to rectify this? I mean, it had 25 monster models; not bad for a 1998 game...
A video about stunning art styles in games and Jules thought it would be better to show more of him than the games. Weird.
8 Cutest Video Enemies Who Did Nothing Wrong.
