  • I have an application where I want to use the Jazzy Power chair motor controller system but I do not want the normally applied brake system. I removed the brake mechanisms and found the controller would not boot up, sensing the loss of the brake coils. I experimented and found that a 2k ohm resistor connected across the brake control signal would satisfy the controller and allow it to boot up without error

Does this resistor technique work on other controllers, like Jazzy 6, 6 ultra ?

I have used it on several different models, I do not recall the number but everyone I have seen is similar

No, the brake will be activated unless you have 24v applied.
