These GDi motors are good but have had their issues. Hyundai & Kia are amazing at dealing with the issue and if need be putting in new engines. HOWEVER, I recommend putting in OEM KIA oil filters and keep your receipts. Just in case you need to prove anything to KIA. They can keep in in their database and it keeps it easy if they ask about oil & filters you used. I have read ALOT about oil filters over the years. WIX always comes out on top in the filter test results I have seen. Fram.. not so much
