I played Heartbound YEARS ago. The memory came to me 2 days ago and it took me a while to find the name. I gotta say I am impressed! The game looks amazing! Many games I found in their demo back in say, 2017, either had devs leave the project to pursue better things, or quit out of boredom. Felt really sad for them. I can't wait to see the official release for the game, and I wish you and the rest of the team good luck and Happy Halloween! I will check back in a couple months.

Wait, you got 22K subs since this morning when you passed 100K? Insane! I was just watching your stream because I couldn't sleep and out of 1400 people, I got a gifted membership. Working on my first game right now. I couldn't follow your advice to not quit my job (but I made that decision a while back and I saved up). Working 8 hours + lunch time plus an hour+ drive each day, I just had no energy to do any more programming after work. I used to do scalable algorithms for large datasets (ie. more data than can fit in memory), 2D geospatial rendering, refactoring, bug fixes, etc. for a GIS company. And if a project was failing, they'd toss it to me. I loved it, but it was taxing in the later years. I LOVE making games. I waited 50 years to do this and I'm giving it a shot. Your content is inspiring with one exception. I watched your controller short. I don't want to be 100 :) I used to make simple games (stratego, breakout clone) eons ago before the web even existed (some with networking). I've somehow kept up with some stuff. For example, I still do 3d modelling and I have my own Unreal Engine branch for dual quaternion skinning (for use with DAZ characters). I really want to make a game with that, but I'd need way more time and resources. Soon! Hopefully :) I have way too many ideas and too little time.

the cover does help plus its the right mic for the job. with a little effort you can the use stuff like gates to filter out background noises or try to improve that with compression or EQ. those rode mics go between 200 and 800 bucks i don't know what this is exactly tho

There are a few things on AI art that is a grey area even if you wish they are not. That being if I train myself on a certain artists paintings and styles and we do the same for an AI then ask us both the same prompt and we output the exact same picture which is illegal? Both? Neither? Since it is (in this example) the exact same picture and both creators used someone else's art to completely influence it's creation both should be illegal or neither should be. There is no argument of human creation in this example as both pictures are exactly the same.

Hello, I'm developing a pokemon fangame (1st time) and even if I'm happy with what the game looks like, I always look at what others do and suddenly my game looks like dogsh*t. I'm not an artist, that's the big thing I'm terrible at when creating a game. How do you know when your creation actually looks pretty or how do you train to become better at creating things with "good taste" ?
Thor talks in another short about how he himself has imposter syndrome and near constantly comparing himself to others. He said you should play "the beginners guide" by Davey Wreden. 😀 hope that helps or you find the short I'm talking about
