You don't know how much I appreciate this video. I was feeling uncomfortable about my 22hr layover so this video just solved my major problem. Ready for my trip! Thank you so much
If you guys decide to go here, here's some extra comment tips! 1. Keep a picture of the logo of the outside on your phone. I can't read Chinese, so matching the font up will help you find it! 2. Ask security for English support, and ask for help getting there. DONT GET INTO A CAB 3. Breakfast buffet is fire. Do the other restaurants instead of the dinner buffet. 4. Most downstairs businesses are 24 hours, so is the museum :)
I booked my flight today ! And thanks to this video I was able to feel relaxed about buying a cheaper flight now that I know where a good hotel is and very close. You helped me and my fiance' very much Chad ! Thank You !
Holy crap, I wish my wife and I had known this for our honeymoon last November. We had 20 hour layovers both to and from Narita. I could actually see where we waited for our hotel shuttle from your room lol. Keep up the good work. And we will remember this for next year
Loved your video. I've been in Shanghai at least 4 times and Dazhong international hotel was where I stayed all the time. Your video just walked me through the sweet memories I had in Shanghai during my business visits. Thanks a lot!
This is an awesome video! Been to Shanghai and have had long ass layovers there - 22 hours at a time and i have stayed at another hotel which was $200 a night. $60 sounds more like my speed. Thanks for putting this out, i really appreciate it. And yes, i agree, after a long flight, a hot shower is the BEST! Aloha!
Aloha Joy! I'm just glad some young blood out there traveling through shanghai won't have to suffer the 20+ hour layover in the actual airport anymore! haha
@@jeannettebrock2537 They weren't at all for me! I'm sorry to hear that. But I don't recommend this place if you're staying for more than just a long layover! If you have time in shanghai there are waaay better places in-town to go :)
Thank you for this video, traveling with my 8 year and have a long layover, this helps however I cannot seem to book a room on the link, what am I doing wrong?
gaurav rajdeva you need to get the temporary visa (at least I’m American and I had to, not sure about other countries). But it’s called the 72 hour transit visa and it’s for people specifically to get a hotel or something for long layovers and you can get it at the airport if you ask the staff for it.
I was thinking of going to Japan around late Nov for a week and wasn't sure about layovers and stuff. Where else have you layover-ed? Super helpful info!
@@ThatsMyChadAh cool! I was looking at some ways to cut costs and an option that came up is a pretty long layover in Seoul. I toughed out a 14hr nonstop flight that was more expensive last July. But since the group I'm going with aren't extremely used to planes (and trying to save money)...I'm hoping to kill 2 birds with one stone with a layover in Korea (or something?)
sakurasunshin3 Seoul has in the international terminal a cubby hotel that’s dirt cheap too! And you don’t need to leave the airport ^_^ check my Korea videos, you’ll see it on there!

Thank you for the video. Good to know there is a nearby hotel near Shanghai airport.
Just got out of major surgery so probs won't be travelling soon but fingers crossed for next year. Just gotta keep studying in the meantime x
Noitibmar dude I’m sorry to hear that! Praying for a quick recovery 😭 what did you go in for?
Perfect! My daughters and I have a 16 hour layover in Shanghai in a few hours. Thanks!!!
Jeannette Wood I live to serve!
Were the beds hard ...checked in a hotel in Chaing Mai and checked out an hour later because of the beds. Our stay was for 7 days.

Certain airlines offer free accommodation for long lay overseas which includes breakfast
Forgot to mention. The metro and the Maglev are at easy reach from Dazhong. As you said, don't take the cab when you can take a metro!
That was a good video bro. Thanks for the info !
Happy to help!
I’ve got a 14 hour layover there, this may be the way to go!
Xavier Hurt we’ve all been there! Haha

Awesome! But it's outside of the airport. Don't you need a visa?
I am having trouble registering and finding a room from a month from now; is this normal
always down for a quickie with zimmerman 😭👌🏽
joseph duenas I... I opened myself up for that one xD
You didn't make the video on the 24 hour transit Visa. How much is it? I have a layover and trying not to pay a penny
3:54 update link , i think they changed it
Yeah I’d grab the shower then grab the bed!! Whew that’s a long flight!
Have you ever flown with China Eastern? It seems to have a lot of cheap flights but also bad reviews so I’m hesitant to try it.
trekcube last November! No problems on any of the last 4 times I’ve used them’
Chad Zimmerman Thanks for the reply! Very helpful 🙂
