I grew up in Montana on a horse ranch. I spent a lot of time with my Dad's family in Michigan who were hay farmers and had a cow calf operation with about 300 head. I learned early on the cultural difference between them. In Montana there were a lot of 'cowboys' and we wore the traditional cowboy hat, boots and jeans. In Michigan we wore Carharts, rubber boots and baseball hats with Ford on them....John Deere isn't popular up there. When I became an adult I moved to Houston and lived there for 13 years. At first it annoyed the time out of me looking at all the people dressed up like "cowboys" who never sat a horse or never were within 20 feet of a cow, let alone work them. My wife was one of those people and I she would drag me to every western bar in Houston. I grew up and got over those stupid thoughts. I look at it as more "western" wear now, or just cultural dress. Like the guy said, wear what you want!
when people say you have to be a cowboy to wear cb boots do they think only basket ball players can wear basketball shoes and only tennis players can wear tennis shoes?
Worn cowboy boots for six decades. Saved fancy Mexican pair for my casket wear. Haven't been on a horse in years. I like how they look under stacked jeans!!!!!!!!!!
And not every cowboy wears cowboy boots, as long as you're a cowboy at heart, then you're a cowboy, not by what you wear, but by the words and actions you do and by the way you mean them. As said perfectly, wear what you want.
I have never worked as a cowboy cause i'm nurse, but where I live is too common wear them, and I like to wear my ostrich/alligator pointed boots and hat at my 25 years old hehe, also I'd like learn how to ride and care a horse
As long as y’all remember, authenticity is the one thing money can’t buy. Wear whatever you want, but please for the love of god, don’t call yourself a cowboy because it’s your wardrobe choice. There’s a sense of pride that comes with being an actual cowboy. The things you have to do and the life you have to live to earn that title go far beyond what you’re wearing. Thank a farmer/rancher today if you haven’t already ✌🏼
We had horses growing up, but I wouldn't consider myself a cowboy, however a good fitting pair of cowboy boots is the most comfortable and best looking footwear you can buy and nothing looks better with jeans, male or female!
Living in Scania, most southern region of Sweden. Was looking to try out some new type work boot and decided to order some cowboy boots, since I've heard they're so comfortable and that the square toe is great for walking and wide feet. Used Blundstone all my life and they're great, just not 10/10. Feels like I may be judged, but at the end of the day, it's boots. Not a big deal.
I just want to say I like your films I like watching them I like wearing cowboy boots and cowboy hat I like how they look and feel comfortable on me cowboy up I like watching your films hope you do more thanks again for doing them take care
I’m a city kid, but have grown up listening to country music and the town I live in is made up of a strong outside farming community. I’ve always wanted to just buy a pair of boots and jeans and just wear them to wear them, but I feel like I’d be judged for “not being country” or for being a “wannabe”…
hey man, the kind of people who would judge you for wearing cowboy boots are the type of people you shouldnt listen to anyway. While I grew up on a ranch, I am by no means a cowboy and I love wearing cowboy boots. wear what you want, it is your life man enjoy it with some cowboy boots!
Nice Liquor bar! Thanks, good advice. I grew up in the suburbs outside of a major city in Ohio, Cowboy boots don't get worn a lot around where I live. It took me a long to get the balls to wear boots in public, as I'm not the kind of guy that likes to stand out. However, there's nothing like them and I always feel different when I wear my boots, in a good way. I'm about the furthest thing from a cowboy that you can get, in terms of personality and interests. I've gotten positive comments on them, but the one that kind of annoys me is "don't those hurt your feet?" .
Thanks, don't think I'm running out of alcohol any time soon ahah. That's good to hear man, love to see it. It makes you the bigger person to do something outside the status quo and shrug of the nay sayors. I'm glad you could take something from this video, keep on wearing them boots (and tell them that your boots are more comfortable than a cheap tennis shoe lol)
@@smackdadious Thank you and yeah, especially ugly Air Jordan Sneakers, lol. I do have a thing for Asics runners though. I have 6 pairs of boots currently, 1 of them Ropers. IMO Dan Post I think is a pretty good brand, it's not too expensive but it's not cheap crap made of plastic either. I got a pair of Laredo's I like, there The Flagstaff Wing Tip's in gray, they look killer.
I love your videos on cowboys but I was wondering if you can make a video of you driving your car or truck wearing your cowboy boots and cowboy hat and pushing the pedal at the same time I would love to see that thank you 🤠💕 cowboy up ❤️👍🤠💕😍
Yeah you won't have to work or live in a farm to wear'em. It won't matter if you're a cowhand or not. City boy or country boy, it won't matter coz it ain't all about the gun, it's the gunslinger that's shooting and using the gun. City boy or country, if you don't know how to use'em and wear'em, what for?

Haha funny thinkin isn't it
I wear cowboy boots as a city slicker Metalhead. Besides, cowboys boots are beautiful pieces of art and protect my feet and legs from city dirt.
Worn cowboy boots for six decades. Saved fancy Mexican pair for my casket wear. Haven't been on a horse in years. I like how they look under stacked jeans!!!!!!!!!!

Some days if it's cold winter and I'm riding my horse I'll wear insulated shoes or insulated work/hiking boots that won't catch my stirrup.

Did you know the first accent of north face of the Grand Teton mountain, one of the men wore cowboy boots cause that's what he had. That is true.

Rodeo king 10x pecan color fur felt hat
@@smackdadious I think I'm going to get it in the buckskin, that looks like a big hat, that's what I'm looking for
You are very handsome man.
Western wear is a part of the culture of the American west, and the west was made up of more than just ranchers.
I love wearing cowboy boots and I'm not a cowboy
Or your just a country kid like me
llove the way you look in cowboy boots you should tuck your jeans into them
Real cowboys I know wear sneakers, baseball caps and drive ATVs. The John Wayne type of cowboys don’t exist.
You obviously havent been out of the city then
