The connection between the bass and drums is astounding. Paulina seems to land late when she pleases, perfectly. I’ve now stood fifteen feet in front of Pau and Ale and heard the best rhythm section since the seventies.

There is no substitute - you have been warned (and bring "flat" response earplugs)! b) please analyse the feel - she uses flams, has a heavy feel that seems to lag a hair behind the beat, etc. All my bass player impressions, of course - you're more expert. @@PaulThoresen Well that is really ironic. Besides this year opening for Foo Fighters for 55K Mexicans in Foro Sol, they had two sensational home shows in Monterrey and Guadelajara each for ± 3K audience. Like the Argentinians, I love the Mexican crowds. If you ever have the chance to see live in South or Middle America, I would do it. Have fun with the list. You can see the growth from year to year. Funfact is that they will excist 10 years in 2023!

I love the girls they are so talented. They seem very cool. I was hoping they'd turn more into a metal band but it seems like they are going the other way. Half the songs aren't even hard rock they're alternative.
Ah! Long time since I saw the Warning. They were much younger then. They still rock! The base player was so small then, smaller than the base, and super good.

They are such a joy, the Warning and they are all masters of their craft. Ale on bass is the Thunder, Dani on guitar is the Lightning and Pau on drums is the Crazy that holds it all together.

Their label said like this about them "They'll be the biggest band in the world". I'd like to think labels don't use those words about their own signed artists that often.

This was great! I'm going to see The Warning (opening for The Pretty Reckless and Halestorm) in August, so it was nice to get a little preview.

They are far better live than in the studio, which is really saying something. The joy they take in their music that they share with the audience cannot be described, only experienced. I've only seen them once, in Boston, and even though I had watched plenty of tour videos, in person it was at another level. I may not get a chance to see them this summer with Halestorm and The Pretty Reckless, but we will see. They were not excessively loud; I think some bands play that way to mask their deficiencies. That is not an issue with The Warning.
There are some really nice drum parts in their song *Disciple.*

@@AndrewRooneyDrums At age 16 Pau was too nervous to enter the Hit Like A Girl int'l drum contest. The next year THEY asked her to be a judge and she played a drum duet with the previous year's winner!🔥
Pau is a true powerhouse on the drums! I saw them live, and was stunned how powerful this three piece band is, just an amazing wall of sound from these ladies!

I discovered The Warning about 3 weeks ago and instantly loved the music. Haven't found any of their songs I don't like. Pau has got the cleanest drum sound. i thought it might have enhanced but hearing sound checks recorded on iphones it's just the same Beautiful sound. I hope in a few years time I will be going to Sky Stadium in Wellington to hear these young women rock out!

Pau is a solid drummer and I love her attitude behind the kit. Too bad you’re not a vocal teacher. Pau also has a really incredible vocal and she sometimes sings the main verses instead of backing when they play acoustic versions.

The live room you see is at Victoria Records in Monterrey, MX. It's a big room with an alcove with a raised stage for band's to use. Behind the camera the room is large enough to host an entire symphony orchestra. It's a beautiful recording studio.

Cheers Andrew!! I was an Exchange Student and lived in NZ for a Year in 1982-83. I started playing drums at 8yo. I love your commentary! I have been a huge Warning fan since 2018. I recently saw them for the first time last month (2 shows in a row). I have watched literally hundreds of their live videos, but nothing compares to seeing them live. Seeing them live you really realize just how good they are as musicians and singers. I was blown away!! And Paulina, to me as a drummer is like if Scott Rockenfield (Queensryche) and Shiela E had a love child. LOL She has that straight ahead, in your face, Hard Rock timekeeping power drumming of Scott, with the flare, syncopation and female showmanship and energy of Shiela E. And she is only 20yo. Absolutely amazing!! These ladies are Future Legends!!

The Warning really need to down under to us in New Zealand (I live in Auckland as well),and with their 3rd album due for release this week,it would be an ideal opportunity for them to do it. Been a fan of this band since 2014,and it was Paus solid drumming that did it for me (even at such a young age,you could tell she played straight from the heart). Awesome reaction to the band,and especially highlighting Paus incredible drumming skills.
I first discovered TW in January and some of the first reaction videos I watched were yours. I got to see them live for the first time about a month ago. As an upper tier patreon member I get to go to their soundchecks. The very first thing I heard was Pau working on a snare piece in their song Money. It stopped me in my tracks. Felt like a bomb had gone off in my body. It wasn't how loud it was, it was a purity of sound I had never really heard before from someone striking a drum. It's like she hits the sweep spot every time and the power is natural, not forced. I remembered you talked about that in one of your videos. Always enjoy and respect your reactions. For me, you're in the top 5 of reactors I watch and I'm not a drummer. No idea why I haven't subscribed. Taking care of that right now. For everyone out there if you like TW and you have a chance to go see them live, do so. They're the best live band I've ever seen.

Pau is kick ass on the kit. She play super hard, super tight.....love it!! the sound of Ale's Bass is incredible...the Specter is so full.
Just saw these girls live in Montreal and I was blown away. They feel like a band with 25 years of experience while the eldest isn't even 25 yet. Their set was a bit short (14 songs) but WOW are they good. The vocal harmonies were on point, their stage presence was incredible and the drums... 😱😱😱

RELEASE DATE NEW ALBUM FROM THE WARNING: “ERROR”, June 24th 2022! Nothing wrong making them the benchmark of mainstream rock. Thanks Andrew.
However looking at the lyrical side of them and especially Pau, they really touch very interesting subjects with a critical view. Their intellect is way above par.
Glad you acknowledge the quality of their harmonies. 'Foxes and Fossils' are probably the current benchmark on high quality harmonies, but DPA deliver it live day in day out. Tomorrow they perform their last gig in Canada and in a couple of weeks they will support Halestorm and The Pretty Reckless on tour. Then some huge festivals in September and October, being followed by another Canadian tour supporting Three Days Grace.
The Warning tornado is raging on and will not stop till world domanance is being achieved. In contradiction to others, DPA have a friendly army. Special shout out to one of them from Australia who flew to Canada to see them in Toronto this week. Great people those Australians, I know you agree with me Andrew☺♥.

Love it. Great reaction. Unapologetic killer rock. So true. Their gang vocals/harmonies are so beautiful and tight…and, to me, it’s the fourth instrument of their band that is The Warning sound.

If you start out with this and then watch video from their tour in order, you can actually see them get better in almost every show-the energy level is up there with the best live performers. Given that they always did well live, I’m impressed that they are still working hard on improving what they do on stage.

Straight-forward, in-your-face, unapologetic ROCK AND ROLL! Like it was meant to be played. Love the song or not, every performance is more than worth the price of admission. I almost hate to say it for fear of being misunderstood, but Paulina attacks the drums more like I'm used to sseing from guys. Just dives in and OWNS IT!

A great reaction! Thanks! I loved it! You can see and hear from this the tons of work that they have put into their art. Stephen King in his book on writing made a comment (I'm paraphrasing from memory) that great talent is not enough, but that you have to spend all of your time polishing it, and this is the result you see here. :)

These people (I hesitate to say girls, tho they certainly are, as I comment to anyone who calls this incredible trio an "all girlband" that they are the best thing out there and just happen to be...Mexican, female, young...) are killing it. Warning Syndrome: cant get that Warning song out of your head. Only cure: another Warning song.
I go back to Rush sometimes, and their seamless time shifts, like in Limelight. Glad to see it hasn't died. ('Course there was Tool, but I despaired of counting theit time.)

4:33 pro musician here. I’d bet money that’s Estudio Trece in CDMX. A tall, narrow building with FINE equipment and personnel. That would be the main live room (they had to pull out a huge, gorgeous Bösendorfer), the bottom one, but I could be mistaken.

I haven't really had a 'favorite' rock band in 30 years or so until I found these gals. They are scary smart when it comes to composing their own music (Pau actually starts a lot of it on piano, and then they work on it together). They just released their new album 'ERROR' on Jun. 24th of this year and there are a multitude of styles, even within this album. There's lyric videos for every song (including Evolve), that they released recently, to make it a little easier on reaction channels that keep getting blocked on the big Music Videos. (and for everyone else to follow along with their incredible lyrics). Pau beats those drums like they owe her money, but she is so concise, and creative that you can't help but watch her through the performances! Great reaction, thanks Andrew!😉👍

These young ladies grow with each album. I have followed them since Pau rocked the video at ten years old.
Pau is a tiny powerhouse of energy, I'm always impressed when drummers also sing and her voice fits in so well with Dany and Ale.
