He was in the side of the law tho (Bounty hunter), he was more likely to survive than any outlaw (Dutch gang) protagonist and he could still be alive in the Red Dead Redemption era (Redemption I ends in 1914, Red was in his mid twenties in 1880/revolver time. If he didnt die by any sickness or got killed in a bounty job, he will be probably be in his late fifties in the current Redemption time).
I think he looks more like he's gonna burn his right eye with a revolver muzzle and give a speach about how after the end of Civil War the US was split into two - East and West.
My headcannon is that Dutch whole heartedly believes all the events in this game transpired and often shares the the story of Shadow Wolf killing Col. Daren to the gang around the campfire. John would doubt all of it just like he did with RDR1 NPC's and be the only one to call it a tall yarn to his face. I love that RDR1 has the same ending as this. An orphaned son avenging his murdered family in a classic gun duel.
If Dutch had had the same attitude, not caring about money, like Red Harlow, or rather caring about it but not being greedy, I wonder how much differently things might've turned out.
So that makes Red Harlow the only surviving protagonist of the Red Dead series. Amazing. @@thatguy4414 Jack didn't really feel like a protagonist honestly, he was only there to put the conclusion on Johns story and to play as him in the endgame. Whereas Red Harlow lived the entire game.

Maybe they should remake it similar to how Castlevania was with Super Castlevania 4 when it was a extended remake. Have you play as Red’s father In his younger days and than as Red Harlow In the Revolver storyline remake.

When Redemption was a direct sequel to Revolver, survivor Jack Swift was slated to appear as a spontaneous mentor to Red’s son before being replaced by Landon Ricketts in the rebooted canon. Even the appearance suggests this a little.

Also the main story can be about Nate Harlow before he was killed and he meets characters from RDR1 and RDR2.
