    Thank you for the video.
    I've had motors that had a plastic flange at the base of the commutator making it very difficult to get the brushes back in place, in that case I found it easier to pull the armature out and fit it to the end bell/brushes, I hold my finger over the hole of the top bearing and insert the armature then I can let the armature back into motor slowly, of course you have to remove the pulley from the shaft

      That is a good idea on how to reassemble them. At least you can be sure the brushes are correctly fitted.

      I did the same thing , then I saw the slots used in the rear of the cover to pin the brushes out of the way with fine tweezers. Then the cover can be installed without crushing the brushes.
