The man who was sitting in the chair that wasn't singing is Randy Travis. He had suffered a stroke a few years before this that left him unable to perform. So as a tribute to him they included him in the music video. If i remember correctly this music video premiered at the CMAs when he was awarded the country music life time achievement award.
I think that’s why country music has been labeled as depressing. It’s real. It tells stories, good or bad. To me, I feel it. That’s how I know it’s a good song. If I feel it! No matter what genre.
Ngl I cried seeing this the first time because I love country music because it means so much to me it’s a big part of my life and I love everyone in it from legends who have passed on and the ones still here like Randy Travis Alan Jackson all so great
Dolly wrote I Will Always Love You for Porter Wagoner, who gave her her start in country music. She was leaving his show. At first he was OK with it but then grew bitter as his ratings tanked. They had a falling out but when he hit hard times, she bought his entire song catalog. When he got back on his feet, she gave it back to him as a gift. On his death bed, she would sing to him. She's a class act. The song hit number one in the 70's and 80's sung by Dolly. In the 90's it hit number one and stayed on the Hot 100 Country Songs charts for a record breaking 14 weeks, by Whitney Houston. The song was chosen as one of the three songs to be used on Artists of Then, Now, and Forever: Forever Country in 2016, debuting at number one again with Dolly singing the final verse.
Ronnie Milsap was at the piano. I love his music. He had a ton of huge hits in the 70s and 80s, among them: Pure Love Daydreams About Night Things Smoky Mountain Rain (I’m A) Stand by My Woman Man Stranger in My House Back on My Mind Again
Everyone has told you Eric Church is the guy in the sunglasses, but the woman singing at the same time as him is Kacey Musgraves and she's great. Check out "Merry Go Round" and "Follow Your Arrow" from her.
@@markmyers6472 Yes she would. I absolutely love Dolly. My mum took me to see her live in 2011 and she was fantastic. Her personality is so infectious and she seems like a genuinely beautiful person.
Wow !!! I'm 65 and I've lived 70 miles from Nashville my whole life and I've never seen anything like this. I have tears running down my cheeks. It was beautiful !!! Makes me SO PROUD to be country through and through !!!💘💘💘💘💘💘
The stories, the styles, the history, the Legacy, the deepest most beautiful artistry of so many truly gifted musicians and Troubadours.... That have so generously graced us with their time talent music and voices....
I just heard this combination the other day and love it with all the old and newer country stars... thanks for your reaction too Tasha,,, your fabulous.... love your insight and heart !!! :)
"Born and raised in Georgia and never listened to country music". What? I am a Georgia boy and only listened to country music. Glad I found this channel. Love the reactions! God Bless!
I was proud of you!!! I think you are realizing how heart felt country music is. It's either funny, toe tapping, heart breaking... for the majority of the time they are really really great stories of real life.
Wow, where to start...Lady A, I Need You Now, Keith Urban, Blue Ain't Your Color, Rascal Flatts, The Broken Road, Jason Aldean, Dirt Road Anthem, I could go on and on...enjoy!!
Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood collaborated together on "The Fighter", which is more pop than country but you might enjoy seeing their versatility. You, and your husband, have a great reaction channel Tasha!
The guy you said I don't know who that is... that's our fellow Georgia boy Jason Aldean! And the first two (man and woman together) that you didn't know is Eric Church and Kasey Musgraves
My husband was the one who pointed out to me that Darius Rucker was from Hootie and the Blowfish. I am glad he transitioned over. All of his are good songs, but my favorite ( if you haven't heard it) is "It won't be like this for long". I heard that one and pictured my husband's relationship with our oldest daughter. He went from caveman to world's biggest pushover with her. I'd say caveman willing to wear a tiara if it's what makes her happy.
Wow I thought I’ve seen every country video. But not this one! Thanks for sharing I loved it! ❤️ By the way your beautiful smile is so contagious just like you! Love ya girl!👍❤️
I love the story behind the song. One thing for sure no male country singer will NEVER EVER denigrate A FEMALE, ever. Country Singers put women upon pedestals.
Blake Shelton- over you (troy gentry foundation ) he wrote the song for his older brother who died at age 24 in a car accident and Blake was 14 and then the same year that the song released his dad died of cancer
Have you reacted to Bobby Gentry - "Ode To Billy Joe" yet? If you do, be sure to pick her live performance at the BBC. Its awesome to watch and listen to her sing. I remember you said you like story songs, This one is a classic!!!

You know all the reactors to this have a common theme. It doesn't matter who else they maybe don't recognise or know of, but the ALL know Willie and Dolly.
One of them that you said you didn't recognize was Jason Aldean, if you haven't heard it yet, please check out his version of Dirt Road Anthem or Burnin it Down.
Oh my, you recognized more than me! I need to catch up on my country! - I know more of the folks from the 80s and 90s than the ones from the last couple decades. This is a beaitifully done video and song mashup, truly amazing. And I love your reaction! Your total embrace of country music and your heartfelt thoughts on it are a joy to watch! And for a song I think you might like, check out Meet In the Middle by Diamond Rio. Excellent song - and it has a Georgia connection!
I have a simple dream that someday the main stream country music scene will notice country music from around the world. Not only confined in the American South or rural America, Rural Canada and the Australian outback. I am an Igorot (one of the major indigenous people of the Philippines) from the mountainous Northern region of the Cordillera and Country Music is big here. The Americans brought the music here when they occupied the country from 1898-1946 and until now American presence can still be felt. In addition I also saw the Naga people of the Nagaland, Northern India who have similar culture to us Igorots who also love Country Music. I also watch the Country singing Mongolian and The Thailand cowboy in singing contest. My grandfather and father passed away still clanged to this dream that someday a country singing star will have a tour in our area of the world.
You should react to a local band from close to home. A band out of Atlanta called Blackberry Smoke great band. A mix of rock, old and new country with some blues for good measure. Please check them out.
Since you enjoyed this, You should look up Will The Circle Be Unbroken, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. They've recorded and performed the song several times with multiple groups of Legends. it would also be worth looking up Hank Williams jr. I Saw the Light. You can also look up Wabash Cannonball Grand Ole Opry celebration. You won't be disappointed
Tasha, a great country ballad for you to react to that I feel 'certain' you will like! "Steve Holy - Good Morning Beautiful (Official Music Video) HD". It was a number one hit from his "Blue Moon CD.
Please listen to Brad paisleys song "this is country music". It is better to watch the video of him singing it at one of the award shows. I think that it describes exactly why you love country music so much.
Girl!! Have you reacted to anything from Rascal Flatts yet?? So many good songs...forgot about them until I saw them in this video. I recommend "I Melt" or "Broken Road" to start with.
If you really want a tear jerker watch Today by Brad Paisley, when it first dropped the music video I mean everyone was crying! A video I recommend you watch with your man.
There is a great video for the. But that song walks softly, it's by the Kentucky head hunters. They they're very smooth for video zack saw walk softly by the kentucky head heart

I think listening to different genres is good for you. I had to deal with that living in the same room with other Marines from different backgrounds and different music. We made a deal to take turns on what would be played. Because if everyone is blaring their music no one gets to enjoy it
Here you go: George Strait: Run Keith Urban: Making Memories of Us Jason Aldean: Night Train Little Big Town: Boondocks Tim McGraw and wife, Faith Hill: Let’s Make Love
First: you are damn beautiful. 2nd. Cash, Brooks, Jennings, Kristofferson, Willie Nelson, White Buffalo, Billy Joe Shaver and if you want to get your heart strings pulled heavily... Townes van Zandt. Waiting around to die. Or Tecumseh Valley. Steve Earle.. Gosh the rabbit hole is so deep.

We can tell you’ve become a country music fan because you talk about it the way any long-term fan discusses the genre. A song that cover this is Trace Adkins’ song “Songs about me”. You should give it a listen.
I noticed in one of your videos, I don’t remember which one, you mentioned Monticello Georgia. One of the females in this video is Trisha Yearwood from Monticello. If you’re from that area, I know you’ve seen her name on the signs. I am from a little town 30 minutes north of you. Monroe

Yeah, but it's also jarring to hear dumb lyrics with pickup trucks, watermelon crawling, and girls in those blue jeans.

I love how they all shut up for dolly “all hail the queen of country music!”
But you know, in all her humility, she would say oh no, I am not the Queen... Loretta Lynn is...
