Booked for 2 nights 30 mins from the city center by car will probably spend 3 days there before going home. Can't wait going to the museums and the dungeons too
Glad you enjoyed it Stuart, It's our pleasure to bring a little of it back to your door. We do incidentally have some longer 4k walks through York that may bring back a happy memory or two. Thanks for dropping by.
On the left @ 3:44 can be seen the red tiled frontage and hanging sign of 'The Blue Bell' a perfect untouched wooden panelled tiny two roomed Edwardian pub - the smallest in York.
We are heading there in a couple of weeks, staying three nights. I haven’t been for 30 years (I visited five times between the age of 10 and 18) so this is a handy reminder of what’s there - plus the comments refine things even more. I can remember Yorvik being created and the two hour queue markers outside!
Great video! I've been planning a day trip to York, and this guide is exactly what I needed. The chapters in the video make it so convenient to navigate through the different sections and find the activities that interest me the most. The city looks absolutely stunning with its medieval charm. Can't wait to explore all the wonderful things York has to offer. Thanks for sharing!
Hello there RR, sorry for the delay in responding, we've been in Italy and Greece filming and so we look forward to walking alongside you in some new destinations. Hope all is well with you and you're enjoying the summertime and making your own walks?
i am saving this for later next year coz i booked already to Milan and Rome i loved it the vibes, the old buildings and the cafes i will surely try it someday
Going tomorrow for a daytrip from London. It's so bad because I'm only going for cobbles, bookshops and candles/crystals and maybe a roast lunch if I can get one during the week. I'll go to York Minster maybe but I'm really going for the gift shop. I know, I'm terrible. I like living history so the streets, the shops etc. Always do the hop on hop off so i'll do that as well. York looks lovely. From appearances, I think if I had to move to another city from London it would be to York. Thank you for the video.
How did your daytrip from London go? Hope you especially enjoyed the cobbles, bookshops and candles and fitted in a nice roast dinner too? Was the hop on hop off bus worth doing? Hope you had a great time all round.
On the left at 3:28 can be seen the entrance to the mediaeval Great Hall of 'The Company of Merchant Adventurers of the City of York' a superb timber framed building built in 1357 - well worth a visit.
Hi @sanishthomas2858, it will very likely be quite cold in December, but it would be a perfect time to enjoy the Christmas lights! I think the atmosphere would be lovely and everything that is running in the summer will be running in December I'm sure.

Is there commentary on the city cruise?
Just had a peek on their website and it says "The York City Cruise provides live commentary on board".
Look in York train museum
Thanks for the tip Beverley.
