I'm glad Propain is involved with the Pros in refining an already great product. Propain was out of stock when I was ready to buy. I knew I wanted a bike that was adjustable, and could run it in mixed wheel or full 29er. Hopefully companies lean towards this kind of adjustability. I think it makes biking much more enjoyable when you're not limited with settings.

Actual meaningful changes with this version, instead of changing the headtube angle by .5° every year that some companies do lol My Spindrift still rides perfectly so I'm not in the market for a new one, but I still really want it
I am not so fluent in english, but i need to say just that : Entre 1992 et 2005 ( j'ai arrété de rouler en 2005) j'ai étudié la geometrie de tout les vélos qui étaient susceptible de me faire plaisir. Je n'ai pas connus le mtb et son évolution par la suite. Je suis français, le seul endroit je roulotte encore de temps en temps c'est la GRAVE. Je pense que tu a une géométrie parfaitement adapté a ton usage ( a ces landing ultra léché qu'on imaginais à peine pouvoir exister il y a 25 ans, c'est magnifique vraiment). Le seul petit "défaut" à mon avis, ( évidement je me base sur une période du passé, mais je suis certain que c'est encore valable aujourd'hui) : dés que tu vas prendre des virage rapides, des courbes rapides, sans appuit et dans des pentes "moyennes", si tu charge pas assez ton cintre, l'avant manquera de pression au sol et tu peut le perdre très facilement. Parce que tes bases sont très courtes par rapport a l'empattement total. Personnellement c'est ce qui m'arriverai en tout cas avec ta géométrie. Mais évidement j'ai pas le même niveau non plus. Merci en tout cas les vidéos sont incroyables.
Remy you are so spot on with the longer chainstays. I recently bought a new bike mainly due to the long chainstay available on it. I'm glad to see high level riders and a company like propane speaking out about this. The spindrift has been a favorite of mine, but on paper, it lost out. 6 months ago. Maybe next time.
@remymetailler I ride a 495-510mm reach front triangle. I find a chainstay of around 455mm to better suit the longer front triangles. It helps stability in the chunk and steeps. It loads the front wheel more with less body english and climbs better. For me...
I was torn on what bike to get so I got a Specialized Evo Pro. Since then I put 165mm cranks, fully extended and slacked, upgraded to a Fox 38 with 10mm more travel, running mixed wheel with a WRP yoke and Cascade link, and EXT E-Storia coil. I went with the Evo because it's so adjustable, and a bunch of aftermarket parts are available for it.

I think you sell a lot of bikes for Propain. The fact that they basically made the new one as a copy of your modified one says a lot. Also super good that they made the same frame for mullet and 29 and with just a flip chip to adjust. I definitely want one now.
ordered the AL medium for the kiddo. bummer they didn’t offer the CF with a full 27.5 setup - at the same time I like the little less slack head angle for a more playful ride and more close to current one. They did a great job with the builds and bike

i always wondered if it bothered you the rattling noise of the cables in the tube....what i did i used a rubber hose and installed it on the inner cables....zero noise ! unfortunately the cf is out of my budget...even al is quite high...i compared it to the Tyee unless you can provide 15% discount the Tyee ends up much higher with the basic specs...a shame you can't select Shimano instead of Sram or Magura. I will have to remove lots of components and resell those if possible...I just want the RX Zeb to be included and not Lyric like with the Tyee...
I have a CUBE ONE77 I can say that is a great ripper.. However I am always rideing CUBE but PROPAIN and CANYON are brands that I would like to try in the future, and almost went for the Thyee last time..
i've had the same setup last year :) e13 9-45t + XT + 30t AbsoluteBLack oval 30t + hayes Unfortunately, e13 was no that reliable and died pretty fast. For the price it has a pretty short life span, so I switched over to XT 10-45 cassette
Are your bottle cage sponsored? If not try the Fidlock, it is really so nice and easy to take on and off, and at the same time it never falls off while riding because it needs a twisting motion that does not occur when riding.

Curious as to what you think about putting the new Marzocchi Super Z 190mm fork (or the Zeb 190mm) on the CF version to make it lean more toward park, but still nimble enough to pedal up. It would slacken the 63.9 degree head tube closer to the park version (63.5) but not quite there. I like the longer chain stays on the CF version just as you suggest.

Do you ride your tires tubeless? Do you use an insert? Do you know the weight of the carbon frame? Haven't found the info yet. Is it possible that the flip chip is only available for carbon version? Regarding DVO. I am riding the same fork with 65psi, one token, full LSC and two turns for HSC. I am 178cm and with ride gear 90kg. I do not bottom out. But the fork feels very harsh and it looses 10mm of travel due to the negative chamber. Do you have that too? And what HSC do you ride? Btw I am on the DVO Jade X. Have you tested the DVO Jade X Prime? Also I want to switch from Spindrift 3 in size M and mullet to a bigger one. I need more stability when it's getting faster. Given the high anti-squat through the middle of the travel, isn't an o-chain or E*13's freehub decoupler needed to reduce pedal kickback? Also, what width tires at 20/22psi? 2.4/2.5 F/R? Wider tires need less pressure
I love the bike, but at the same time I hate it. I hate, that it is not available in 27,5” version. Will it ever be? Or do I have to buy used Spindrift 4?

Love my tyee. Such a great bike and I have been swapping back and forth between mullet and full 29 which I feel the bike does an awesome job accommodating both. Quality on propain is second to none. This bike is incredible. That being said - cable tourism sucks. Is awful. Is horrible. Is a disaster. Propain need to get rid of this gimmick junk because their bikes are so good it’s not needed! Again - anybody on fence about a Propain - the bike is awesome. Just say no to cable tourism!

The 5 looks sick I think we are all jealous of every sponsored Rider and the many dentists who can afford. a new bike every year 😂😂 On a serious note I don’t know why everyone buys a new bike every year what’s. wrong with the one you had last year realistically there. is not much difference. between the 2023 and 2024 mods of the bike that you have brought just a few tweaks here and there Just my opinion but unless your carbon or aluminum frame brakes. what is the point. in wasting money. on buying a new bike every year.
comical tho, how many people fuss over 29 vs 27.5 when there's only a 3/4 inch difference in size, from the axle. so you have 3/4" more 'butt room'. imho, having a 29" front wheel isn't a huge difference of "rolling over things" capability.. it's just not dramatic. for me, a freeride or enduro 29er just feels sloppy. the 27.5 is far more steerable and quick thru jump lines. 29er for light trail and XC? sure! YMMV
Awesome now let's see you go get hurt riding that expensive bicycle through the mountains 😂. A true mountains bike rider has some injuries somewhere on there bodies 😀 👍 ❤

the Sram stuff is great. My previous bike was definetly more noisy and it bother me.

No needed at all but I like less kick back so these are good options.

Full 27.5 really do not make much sense anymore in my opinion. it would be so little sales for Propain that it would drive the price up.
how many km do you do with 3c maxxgrip and bc the bihe is really progessive do you want to put a jade x on it which is linear ?
I could try a Jade X for sure. Hard to tell on the 3C grip. It really depends on the terrain.

On a serious note I don’t know why everyone buys a new bike every year what’s. wrong with the one you had last year realistically there. is not much difference. between the 2023 and 2024 mods of the bike that you have brought just a few tweaks here and there

comical tho, how many people fuss over 29 vs 27.5 when there's only a 3/4 inch difference in size, from the axle. so you have 3/4" more 'butt room'. imho, having a 29" front wheel isn't a huge difference of "rolling over things" capability.. it's just not dramatic. for me, a freeride or enduro 29er just feels sloppy. the 27.5 is far more steerable and quick thru jump lines.
29er for light trail and XC? sure!
