@@grantdamsgaard2702 YT is being overrun with spam/hate-bate/harassment and political propaganda bots. Not impossible it was an obvious one of those.
Or it was a normal person who made a valid, point but used one of YT censored words of the week and got ghosted for it.

If a reply is reported as spam, harassments, (sometimes bad actors), etc., the reply becomes unviewable while under review but the reply's presence remains in the under the expand replies icon. It is quickly "reviewed" by software (I'm not calling it "AI"), the count resets or if there was only one reply, the icon is removed. @muntbara suggestion points to the fact some comments in the main list can only be seen if you select "newest first" sort. I am certain that is not a "glitch", as some believe. I believe it is done by YT's software on purpose. The "problem" has existed for a very long time and YT has not fixed it. The reason for this "glitch" is not in any help section or search by Google on it's servers, that I am aware of. You can find "the suggestion", "just sort by newest" all over the place, I am sure there multiple reasons, like a glitch. @@grantdamsgaard2702

Milton Friedman explained this and so much more over half a century ago. At that time, countries such as the US, the UK, Germany +++ all listened and transformed their economies for the better. Milton Friedman was correct then and he is still correct now and while he lived, no one could counter his arguments but instead waited until he passed in order to misrepresent him. In the abstract, it's easy enough to demonstrate how a system of competitive free markets is ultimately superior to any of the alternatives - but suppose then that you're a person, devoid of any particular talents and finding the thought of hard work or risk taking utterly abhorrent to you - how do you like it now? You want these people to play a game that they cannot possibly win; in a competitive free market economy they will fail and so what did you expect them to do - where do you expect them to go? Now please check Government spending as a % of national income in every advanced western economy and see if you can find any answers? 🤔

Interesting. The problem is that the state became so powerfully corrupt, and culture became so woke-zealot that I can't see the light in the and of the tunnel.

THANK YOU for this marvellous speech - it is everything, on this particular subject, that I would like ore need to hear. And I, a complete finance novice can understand it, and appreciate its aims and objectives for all.

I came of age (politically and chronologically) in a milieu of rising protest against capitalism, and rosy glasses about the possibilities of communalism as the antidote. For decades I seconded the quip from Charlie Chaplin (was it?) when asked what he thought of socialism: "it's a good idea - we should give it a try". We all thought that whilst the USSR and China had taken Marx's ideas in an unfortunate direction, it didn't necessarily need to be thus.
Lately though (watching how those ideas have scaled up across the entire education system and beyond) I am not so sure! So I have become interested in listening to the values and ideas of those who believe in Free Markets. After all, I have always believed in freedom (maximised to the extent it doesn't impinge on others' rights to self-determination) so I have been trying to re-think the laisse-faire characterisation of Capitalism (which seemed to give carte blanche to the cronies and the monopolies), wondering just what exactly needs to be restrained (by law, tax, whatever means...???) to make it fair and workable.
Happy to have found this talk!

Beware! Thomas Sowell is no fan of the New Deal and is a trenchant critic of Roosevelt, point out the enormous harm it did to the economy and the poor in the USA
His analysis, observations and opinion must not be ignored by this genius of economic wisdom.

I discovered Thomas Sowell late in my life, just prior to retiring a few years ago. Since then I have read at least 6 of his books and watched countless RUclips interviews, debates and discussions that Thomas participated in. In my opinion Thomas is a National Treasure, I fear we will not have him much longer as he is now into his 90’s. He will be sorely missed, we need someone like him to take up his torch.
