Confused wouldn’t a parallel entry put us in a head on collision course with existing aircraft in the pattern ??

Hello Dan, thank you for watching. Holding patterns are used in IFR procedures and only one aircraft is assigned per holding pattern, so there is no other aircraft to be on a collision course with. This is different from a VFR traffic pattern where multiple aircraft may be flying in the pattern.

Is there no risk of collision with other aircrafts doing the same holding patter?

Holding pattern and given a fix?
If a PIC is instructed by tower/ATC to 'hold in a pattern' VFR with the radial of RWY, how much distance (parallel) is required?
    *500ft vertically minimum
