My thoughts exactly! Plenty of dogs with behavioral issues like his are homed all of the time. They are muzzled when out and owners warn others to stay away and keep children away. Im mid aged with no kids and will not be having kids. Ive got time and experience training dogs and would love to take in a dog that needs a little more time and patience.

They live in the SAME STATE as I do (like two hours away) & my son was bit 13 months ago, horrific accident & the dog was quarantined + released. It happened the day we were getting hit by a hurricane & the dog was somewhere he’d never been around a bunch of people, and it started storming really bad. My son gave the dog a hug while we were leaving and he got scared & bit my son. He was quarantined for 10 days & He lives with 3 kids + has never harmed any one else. Accidents happen. Him killing this dog was uncalled for. Poor nugget. 💕

He's full of it! My sister adopted a dog who nipped a child. Turns out, hes the sweetest dog out there. I baby sit him all the time and gets along with other dogs. Some kids play to roughly with dogs, climbing and getting too close to their face so dogs defend themselves. That pup should've been given to a home with no children. That pup is so small give me a break.

Your dog bit your child because your child wrapped her arms around the dog in a hug - that is an appropriate response for a dog who feels threatened - it was being a dog. You should have not let your young daughter “hug” the dog - this is entirely the parents fault. The dog didn’t need to be shot, it could have been surrendered to a rehab facility.
Not always as simple as that. As our family dog got older, she became more and more aggressive. At first it was just people she didn’t know. Then it was people she knew but who didn’t live with us. Then it was us and our other dogs. My parents spent thousands on trainers, behavioral therapists, medications, sedatives, etc. As she got worse, people started to admit defeat and would say there was nothing that could be done. Rehab facilities flat out told us the only option was euthanasia because of her aggressive past. After nearly 5 years of trying everything they could, my parents finally put her to rest. Personally, I thought they were crazy and shouldn’t have waited that long. It was like being a prisoner in our own home and now as an adult with my own children, the experience has made me quite certain I will never own another dog again.
Anyone who has children and owns animals is taking a risk that these types of accidents will happen. Any animal who isn’t impeccably trained by a professional should not be around children. Even then, there are exceptions to the rule as in the case of my family dog.

That’s how they communicate when they want to say get away and friends that would go over to the house said that Ensley again would put her face in the dogs face and it would warn her several times, and it would finally have enough to bite her in the face and it’s not like it’s scarred her or did severe damage. It was a nip and then there’s even a video of Jenelle, recording her daughter, getting in the dogs face and Jenelle is laughing in the video then the dog bites her daughter and the dog did growl several times, and we all know that David beat that dog half to death before he ended the dogs life his daughter Marissa literally confirms it because she was in the room and heard the dog screaming and crying and gurgling on its bodily fluids and it makes me sick that Janella sitting there, because CPS got called. Obviously the kids got taken away. She left David went on social media saying that he’s a horrible person and that she is terrified of him. She’s scared of him he’s abusive. He has anger issues he’s aggressive and then she gets the kids back a couple months later then gets back with David a month later and all, let’s just bring him back into the house who caused the trauma, especially for Kaiser because he saw the whole thing. He definitely saw David end the dogs life.

If you beat, maim, kill, or severely neglect an animal, it can be filed as a misdemeanor or felony and can be subjected to up to 3 years in jail or prison if proven. I don't know about other states, but in California you can definitely face prison time for that.

I am extremely disappointed by these two cohosts for not countering the misinformation that Eason spewed. I don't even know where to start in terms of calling out his BS. For starters, Eason was 100% responsible for that incident between Nugget and his daughter. Nugget did exactly what an animal is supposed to do when someone gets in his or her face. When you adopt an animal, you commit to that animal's safety and well-being as you would a human member of the family. This incident did not require Eason to choose one over the other. Nugget did not instigate the incident, she was lying on the couch peacefully and minding her own business. Eason's job as the responsible adult in the room, was to make sure that his daughter interacted with Nugget in an appropriate manner. He failed miserably … especially since he claims that Nugget was "aggressive" before. It is important to note that contrary to his insistence otherwise, his daughter's health and safety were never in danger … not even close! Nugget, a small dog, nipped at his daughter so innocently that the daughter's skin was never even broken. The brutal execution, not euthanasia as he claims, would have only been appropriate if the animal was attacking the child and wasn't letting go. The incident was quick and over and an absolute nothing-burger. NEXT POINT: It's a complete lie that if he rehomed the dog, it would have eventually been exposed to another child. There are many child-free homes. I see an abundance of ads for pets (by local shelters) that stress that a particular animal who is up for adoption does not do well with children. Besides, a good pet owner would never allow his/her child to do what Eason allowed and even encouraged. NEXT POINT: An animal who bites someone is not automatically put down by the authorities. Every case is different. Again, in this case, Nugget was a loving pet who needed a loving home and she tragically found one of the worst homes possible. My BS antenna goes up immediately when Eason implies the only possible fate for Nugget was being put down. FINAL POINT: OK, I am glad he said he was sorry for doing it because it caused so much pain to his family … but what about being sorry to the animal you murdered? Be apologetic to your victim.

I just heard about this dog situation and I've been sick to my stomach about it ever since. I can't believe this guy is still walking around this earth after admitting what he did to that innocent dog. My heart bleeds for Nugget and what they went through. Janelle should have protected her dog.

His friends came forward and they even said that when they were over there Her daughter would harass the dog basically what getting it stays would pull its tail would not leave the dog alone, and the dog would literally warn her several times before it fit her like three or four, and they said David and Jenelle wouldn’t really like teach her how to properly interact with a dog they would not say hey that’s not OK you need to go play with your toys leave the dog alone, they weren’t really doing that and there’s even a video. I don’t know if you know about it but there is an actual video of Jenelle recording her daughter once again, getting in the dogs face and the dog growled at her daughter like three or four times maybe more and finally bit her before the dog did that you can hear Janelle giggling in the background. This all could’ve been prevented, and if they are going to be lazy parents and lazy dog owners that it’s best to rehome the dog when it was the second bite incident? Plus, I don’t know if you know that his daughter came out and said that her dad beat the dog before he put it down that he beat the dog half to death. She said she could hear the dog screaming and crying and gurgling on its bodily fluids and she said she was too scared to leave her bedroom. I just think that it’s ridiculous. Typically when a dog bites someone, they are quarantined for 10 days, and tested for rabies. If they have it then yes, the dog is put down. David doesn’t really know the law like he thinks he does.
