As many shows as Whitechapel plays, the partying I'm sure Phil Bozeman does, it really is incredible how healthy his voice sounds over the years. Doing such deep, raw, guttural and low screaming he keeps it healthy and sounding sick. One of the most brutal and studio sound alike vocalist in metal today. Phil fucking Bozeman for president. The Saw is The Law! \m/
+Tanner Fry Phil actually is a pretty laid back guy. He isn't really the kind of guy to go get shit faced drunk and party his ass off. He's really down to earth and one of the nicest guys I've ever met.
+Tanner Fry When you scream you aren't supposed to strain yourself and blow your throat out. If you're doing that, then you are doing it wrong. I've screamed for 4 hours straight and was perfectly fine, I had two bottles of water, that's it. Like 4killerCurtis said, just learn your range and you'll be fine (also learn the actual technique, don't just go "screaming for the fences"). If you know what you're doing then it's not difficult to scream everyday. The problem is a lot of people don't know what they're doing, even some artists. This happened to me in the beginning and I lost my voice and fucked up my throat every time until I figured out what I was doing wrong. Now, with that said, I don't want to take anything away from Phil. He has more than just technique; he has raw talent, and that is rare. Also, like AJ Alonzo said, Phil is really chill, not a big party guy...so he gets his rest.
I couldn't really find a frame where it's too visible but does anyone know what brand those hats are (or where to get them) that the guy at the bottom left for the first 17 seconds of the video is wearing? The hat is black and has white emblem with a black "x" on it and the brim is black and white stripes. I saw them being sold at warped tour and mayhem fest but I could never find the dude selling them.
It's hard to say! B: is probably the most challenging. B has some very fast verses and combines some high screams with Phil's low gutturals, so it will take a lot of skill to get that down! A: has a few fast verses but the buildup really makes that song fun and gives it a lot of power. C: Only my opinion, its a good Song, I just feel like it doesn't hit as hard as the others. I think the Saw is the Law or Our Endless War are better songs if you're looking to display a range of vocal talent and dynamics. It's your call though bro!
The only thing i dont like about Whitechapel like 4th? album and onward were how his vocals are not as brutal as they were before. Like they still are but personally it sounded harsher in the older albums
I think it makes their songs sound much fuller than anyone else's, it's a preety good combo, I mean you don't see many bands doing that, it's preety fucking good
do u stupid or fuckin crazy? i just compare the new vocalist and old vocalist..i did not want to drop the band..my fuckin best band is suicide silence biatch !!
His names Phil Bozeman. He is considered one of the best current vocalists in the metal community. As far as anyone's concerned he can do whatever the fuck he wants lol. Check out his studio recordings, cupping or no cupping, the man is a beast.
the cupping is a common technique among metal vocalists, and other such genres, used to increase the low end punch in the Mic output. it's called the proximity effect. look it up

I can go all day if i want to it is abolut your technique and keeping your self hydrated lol
After watching vids of him, it doesn't seem like he gets fucked up like that.

Phil is a fucking demon. \m/
Such a perfect growl, best modern death metal band in my opinion.
They are deathcore. Sorry to be the asshole genre specifier. But I agree! He has amazing vocals!
Glad it wasn't me this time XD. Death metal and Deathcore are actually very different in my opinion.
Randy Blythe, when he’s on his A-game, they’re pretty close.
m prior Corpesgrinder 😂
Shut the fuck up and realize Deathcore and Death Metal are very different. You probably drink Sunny D and think it's OJ.
Whitechapel should've been on the main stage for Mayhem
@4:00 I can see myself crowd surfing in the Exodus Shirt
CPUQ Exodus!!!!
Holy shit, fucking brutal
The fact that the one bass guitarist and the other guitarists are all right handed just pleases me in a way I can't describe.
Being right handed is extremely common though
1:08 killer drumfill!
Ingo Kolb Triplet/Sixtuplet fills are the best.
damn this sounds nearly perfectly alike to the recorded studio version!
1:25 HOLY FUCK! still better rapper than drake
Phil kills ittttt
BURIES IT
To all the peeps wondering about all those guitars I pose the question: Can there even be such a thing as to many guitarists?
Philipp Rieck Yes.
@@josepharsenault1083 Whitechapel and general meat-headed brutality disagree.
the amps and audio do not do Phil's voice any justice haha.
I was there that day!!!
They are so damn good.
Cut my hair like Phil's today.
Entering like a boss
Pra mim a melhor banda do momento
love that they got a tiny stage and shitty amps but just rock it like bosses
“Thank you”
best vocal ever. fuckin perfect
This performance is wild.
Phil is a beast
omfg amazing performance.
Ben Harclerode was a beast on those drums!

White Chapel is the shit!!!! And my fighting music!!!
BEST DEATHCORE BAND EVER RESPECT SUICIDE SILENCE
PHIL ONE OF THE BEST VOCALISTS ON THIS GENRE

AWESOOME!
Like Love Phil Bozeman
his hearing must be damaged
Bruno Del Souza unless he wears plugs

Phil's getting a lot more intense live holy shit
Holy fuck I was there... this was the shit.
He is a fucking beast :D
Fkn brutal WC kills it
What song do you think
I should do a vocal cover from the band Whitechapel.
A. Our Endless War
B. Saw is The Law
C. Worship The Digital Age
It's hard to say! B: is probably the most challenging. B has some very fast verses and combines some high screams with Phil's low gutturals, so it will take a lot of skill to get that down!
A: has a few fast verses but the buildup really makes that song fun and gives it a lot of power.

That intro hit like a fucking mid sized SUV
one stop shop voice😂🔥🔥🔥🔥
When phil screams it looks like he's gunna pop a vain 😂 he's soooo good though
1:30 xD hahahahah
bad ass!\m/
-whitechapel-
hi, we are whitechapel, we have 3 guitar players dress in cohesion with each other.
I'd say that the music speaks for itself and three guitars kick ass dude really you got more depth to your music
Im pretty sure that's Aaron Patrick, now bass player of All That Remains standing besides the drummer lol
Yeah I was like I swear he looks familiar lol
Three guitarists?
They need a bigger stage
Exactly, because they got 4 guitars!
The only thing i dont like about Whitechapel like 4th? album and onward were how his vocals are not as brutal as they were before. Like they still are but personally it sounded harsher in the older albums
Good taste 2 with Stephen Carpenter signatures
1:04 - 1:10 taaaaaaasty
Funny when looking from far Alexs guitar looks like cheap fender tele acoustic guitar haha
3 guitars really? Is there a point?
+Michael Stillitano some of their songs get really complex
Rip phils ears
the bass is redicilously low.....
Jabajabajabajabajaba
lol yeah 😂😂😂😂😂
Wolverine on drums
While i cant find any comment on the 3 guitar players i will. WHY do they have 3 guitar players chugging powerchords the whole time? i mean common....
I think it makes their songs sound much fuller than anyone else's, it's a preety good combo, I mean you don't see many bands doing that, it's preety fucking good
Daniel for that heavy TONE
really dude you don't hear the music yeah that's with three guitars why fix something if it's not broke
"HQ Audio"
Phil's voice, omfg.......
Не знал что Дима Хаски так хорошо гроулит
Meshuggah?
not even close
main riff, solo, vocal, guitar on 4:16,to much meshuggah......
Three guitars necessary?
I would love a guitar with Whitechapels' saw on it
gotta be able to layer riffs. if not it wouldnt be as bad ass
+Johnathan Lamberty win
Do you hear how good it sounds? Yes lol
Isn't the guy in the back Aaron from All that remains?
Yes, he was TMing for WC for a while.
why do they need 4 guitarists? like isn't it a bit exaggerated?
I just posted a vocal cover of this song. If anyone wants to check it out, I would appreciate it.
+Jordan Banks liked and subbed, good cover. upload more contentt
+Jordan Banks Link please! :D
lol
is that a singstar micro?
Lol I think it is
Heavy ass sound. Are the lyrics intentionally impossible to understand?
Once you memorize the lyrics it's easier to understand. But unlike most death metal bands Whitechapel's lyrics are easier to make out
sounds better than eddie hermida :P
+Daniel Iskandar vocalist has own character kiddo, stop comparing other vocalist .. or just shut the fuck up...kiddo..
Irhuelz TV i really miss mitch lucker voice than this shitty eddie hermida :P
do u stupid or fuckin crazy? i just compare the new vocalist and old vocalist..i did not want to drop the band..my fuckin best band is suicide silence biatch !!
Phil Bozeman is a God
+Daniel Iskandar You did not compare them, you just insulted eddie :D
prefer Sodom's The Saw is the Law
worst sodom cover ever
Three guitars for the most generic cookie cutter, deathcore band.
The singer would sound a lot better if he didn't cup the mic but still a fucking amazing song.
