However, if we go even further back, we used the word "Skold" or "skald" (wich means skull). The old Viking ways was that you would use the skull of the enemy as a drinking cup, and they would say "Skold" when rising their drinks" Feel free to correct me if this is a myth people. But i heard this when traveling around one summer to some of the Norwegian Viking or Middle age festivals :)
