Hello my gelatinous Eggies, thank you so very muchly for watching this piece. This video in its entirety was made by just two people: myself and esteemed colleague Hunter Allen. We feel like we should tell you this because people assume we're working with a much bigger team. In reality we both just have a Lust For Creation and extremely long arms to hold up lights, reflection panels, etc. whilst acting and filming respectively. This video cost us £629.99 of His Majesty's Great British pounds to produce, but it cost us far more in Time (100s of hours) and Pulmonary Health (at least 11 days from our combined lifespan), to write, shoot, edit, and score a true Objet d'Art. So, if you enjoy This Sort Of Thing and you'd like to support me in continuing to narrate My True Story, via audiovisual concoctions with a frankly unrecommendable Effort:Reward ratio, please consider donating to our Patreon: www.patreon.com/thejazzemu The fact is we'll keep making these regardless, because we love nothing more. But your financial and emotional investment makes it a whole lot easier. Love you multitudinously, Jazz Emu xxx
And we are replete with gratitudiosity for your martyring work ethic producing these wonderful works of art. Did you do your own age makeup? Or did you invent a Time Machine for the authentic look?
As a person with a dad this truly spoke deeply to my soul. The impeccable accuracy of the experience of Having A Dad was captured so artistically , I too strive to create music whilst my dad wishes nothing more than for me to create sound effects.
@russiansans6843 oh we have plenty of milk , therefore my experience of Having A Dad needn’t be impacted by the inevitable milk-fetching ritual known to tear many Dads away from the classic Having A Child(ren) experience
@@Mars-music763 Well I must say the paragraph you've form is of the highest dialect I've seen on my Mobile Telecommunications Apparatus. This is a wonderous sign that your paternal figure ( Father ) was also that of a great man. As they say in the old country, "You're a real chip off the block", hohoho. I bless the with a day of wonderment and fabulous enrichment.
The shot of Jazz holding his instrument on the shores only confirms to me that it was handed to him by some woman in a lake, much like Excalibur was to Arthurian lore. I guess they should have learned to swim.
Damnit boy! What have I told you about releasing half of an absolutely banger of a tune and then changing to a heartfelt message about breaking the chains of authority? Always release the full song too!
A classic tale of the foley of youth. The resounding effects of "music" on today's innocent minds are unspeakable, so I must communicate them in onomatopoeia. Bang. Crash. Wilhelm scream. Slide whistle. Old car horn.
I love this so much - The song at the beginning leading into the story fleshing out the backstory and JE's father and how it links back to We Own A Jungle which, from what I understand, the video for that song is the telling of the awakening of the music making Emu we know and love, finding his new path in music. Simply amazing, love it as always!
Okay, but did you notice the frames from "High Budget Boy", "Allergic", "Hench", "Dangerous Andrew" and others in "We Own A Jungle"? The lore of the Emuverse is expanding... 👀
@@katgunter9119 I did, I did. It's all really cool. JE's music and videos are always pieces of art respectively and what's even more rewarding is watching the visual storytelling unfold in the videos that accompany the songs, especially if One watches it all. It's all round just art in my opinion, not much else to add lol, it's just great!
I hope this is an excellent performance and that Bronchman is doing well! Thanks father of Emu. Also if he didn't want you to pursue music why did he named you Jazz? Seems contradictory to me
I am constantly inspired by your creativity and how MUCH you're able to achieve with so few cast and crew members!! Thanks for all your awesome content!
This is without a doubt one of the most outstandingly good videos I have ever seen. The cinematography, humour, absurdity and stunning vocal performance (and instrumental performance) tie together so nicely. My favourite thing you have made so far, keep up the fantastic work! (Also I am in desperate need of a continuation of this storyline, please continue your artistry).
I am assuming this is the beginning of a Prelude to Jazz Emu series? I needs it. Followed by more episodes of the aforementioned Jazz Emu series that continue past the pilot, with we had been previously graced. I needs it bad.
this is absolutely incredible my good lad. I am truly shaking in my very own exquisite snakeskin cuban booties, the majesty on display here is truly next level
Jokes aside, this is a well made project! In particular, I like how despite literally being able to lift himself from the ground at 0:46 in confidence, the low-angle shot at 0:52 shows that he still is under the recording sign, and those who are recording inside. Even when defying gravity and physics itself, the character is unable to see themselves on the same level as their father both physically and figuratively. It's a great bit of cinematography that adds to an already well-rounded and stellar video!
30 seconds in: Yeeees a new Jazz Emu banger!!!! 3 minutes later: What in the world did I just watch This kind of content is what I subscribed for, keep being you❤
Jazz Emu, I can't believe you wrote this song about yourself! You've always been a great father, even when you abandoned me for the DVD logo. Oh well till next time Father Emu.
One of my fav jokes is when your showing behind the scenes bits over the credits and it cuts from you floating and stepping somewhere else to a different back ground
As a dad myself, I can confirm that I’m always like this, constantly embarrassing my kids with my music. And they’re always like “you should have been a Foley Artist!” No, wait, that was just a weird dream.
Dude how is this funny but also the most inspiring, poetic video with amazing music and a story that is so fun and visually interesting I don’t know how to express how cool I think this is
*gasp* the noble Bronchman Emu?? A serious legend. One day I will find a way (a wallet) to help you lift your family's curse. Oh, you poor Emu family...
Truly a heartbreaking tale of a man so consumed by his art, but raising the question, was it his art because he wanted it to be, or because he was told that's what it should be by those who came before him? In another life, given freedom, would Bronchitus Emu have taken another path, perhaps as a contestant on Make Some Noise, had he merely been given the freedom to choose, like his own father was denied by the familial pressure??? Who can say, truly.
Your a gem, I wish I had your confidence and drive to just make what's in your head and share it with the world. I'm excited to see what's next! Maybe a lil album with nsp maybe 🤔 😮❤

My first time getting called gelatinous eggy... I kinda like it
I hope the boots were 600 and the rest of the vid cost 29.99.
I am proud to be called a gelatinous eggie I will wear it as a badge of awesomeness
“It’s these new exquisite snakeskin cuban booties, father!” and the “castle door swinging open” bits had me in tears 😭
They were custom made, father!

50?! You're the real MVP! God bless you 🙏 Jazz Emu has brought me so much joy. He deserves the support

Love this! Will there be subtitles added for those of us who are so overwhelmed by the impeccable vibes that we cease to understand the spoken word?
Agreed. (By the way, at the very end of the video, the auto-generated subtitles write "thank you". We don't know why, the case is still open)
There are subtitles, and they aren't auto-generated I don't think
There are subs, you have to pick English UK in the list.
just turn them on, there are manmade subtitles by emu on almost every video

Bang. Crash. Wilhelm scream. Slide whistle. Old car horn.
That slide whistle resonated with my soul
Incredible! You and Hunter knocked it out of the park as always!
My ear holes were teased so magnificently. I need more of that song! You're father will soon realize your true talent.
we emu hatchlings need a full length version of the impeccable intro song, truly a marvellously grunchy sound

Yes. So glad to see the Jazz Emu Cinematic Universe coming together.

Beautiful like a 1000 coconut horses galloping together
It is so well made that at first i thought it was created with big team, but in reality it's just two men with astonishing creativity power.
