Congratulations!!! I’ve been subscribed for a long time, and as a Torontonian, it’s been fun following your adventures in this city. I’m equally excited to see your new adventures in DC!!! We visited DC in 2014 and loved it! 😍

Yay!! So cool you will be so close. Virginia is beautiful ❤️
That’s so exciting! It’s wonderful to see you so happy. I remember that you went through some sad, hard times for a while there. Very happy to see you thriving ❤

How exciting! I live right outside of DC. The cherry blossoms are in full bloom so sadly you'll miss that this year but you'll be coming right when the weather will be perfect. Safe travels!
Awww Rachel, what an update! I’m so excited for you. The story of how you found out your Visa was accepted was just the best! So glad you and your boyfriend can now settle into your new life together.
So happy for Rachel! I love DC! There are so many beautiful towns to explore. Williamsburg, VA is such a quaint little town. Can’t wait to see you settle into this next phase!
So happy for you. Good luck in your new beginnings. I got married at 33 and had a baby at 36. Honestly it was a magical time in my life and I wish you magical years ahead. ( I am 50 and still happy) thank god
Your joy is palpable! How exciting! You have to do a short or TikTok of that legally blonde scene! 😂 so happy for you. Your entire being is glowing! Congratulations! 💙
This is so cool Rachel!😃 I moved to the US from South Africa 4years ago, very scary change but I have no regrets! So exciting to follow along your journey!

RACHEL!!! BEST NEWS EVER! ❤ I'm beyond excited for you. Congrats on the visa and the big move the D.C. Your joy is so contagious and you are glowing! Cannot wait for all the fun content!
I knew it's the US when you said it was taking so long to get a visa and they didn't allow you to talk about it. I just got married and am moving to another country too. Actually got my residence permit this week 🎉🎉🎉 which was way quicker than we expected! I'm older than you and starting a new life is exciting though I have more challenges - need to learn a new language and find a new job there. But it's a wonderful country in Europe I'm moving to and I like his town a lot, so I hope it will work out. Congrats and hope DC treats you well!
Congratulations! You'll probably miss the Cherry Blossom festival by the time you get over here, totally recommend it for next year if you do. Other recommendations, Ally Bank is an online US Bank that is pretty awesome, might look into it and compare it to physical banks in the area your looking to move too. They have interest earning check and savings accounts, plus 2 day early access on deposits. As for cute daytrip recommendations: Colonial Williamsburg and City of Fredericksburg. 😄
Congratulations! I am so happy for you! I am glad to see you back! I can't wait to see your new place and all the new adventures that your going have. Safe travels. and hugs
I knew once we didnt hear from you that you got your visa!! How exciting!! I'm so happy for you 😊😊 I had a feeling you were coming to the States lol. It's awesome you got to find out with your boyfriend!
Congratulations and welcome! I’m from the DMV area, and raised in Alexandria, VA. There are so many fun places for you to explore. Get ready for the hazy, hot, humid summer weather!
Yay this is the news I was waiting for!! Huge congratulations Rachel!🎉 I'm so happy for you and so excited for your new chapter in life! I loved the story about Legally Blonde 2. You just never know where life will take you. Can't wait to see all your moving, organising, cleaning, travel and apartment videos in DC!! ❤
Wow Rachel! What a relief for you! I remember applying for my Greek passport while I was in the UK on a working holiday visa, I applied for Greek citizenship through descent in 2001 and I only got it through in 2004…. Visa extensions, study visas…. My whole life was in the UK including my parents. I cried so hard when I got the Greek (EU) passport, I couldn’t even talk. There was alot of messing up on the Greek Embassy side as well, it was this constant worry. Now I am married with 2 beautiful daughters, I got my British citizenship and passport too, so I can now sleep soundly 😅❤ So happy for you (and your man!) ❤😊
Oh that sounds so stressful. I swear anything visa related is so stressful from all the waiting and the uncertainty. So glad everything came together for you in the end 💛💛
Rachel, I live in DC. Recommendations: Eastern Market on the weekend; Rock Creek Park for hiking; NoMa/H St/Union Market area for new restaurants. Nats baseball over the summer, night game is best to beat the heat. And... museums, museums, museums. The best free museums in the world.
I thought maybe you were moving to like Hamilton or Oakville , Guelph etc where you weren’t moving to Toronto but maybe a town outside or near . You definitely lost me trying to keep up lol but doesn’t matter because I’m just so happy for you !
Havent even started watching but i am so happy your back ❤ Congratulations on getting your visa it definitely took me by surprise. I can't wait to see all the little towns! P.s. your hair looks amazing
I live in Maryland and have been here my entire life. Been watching you since 2013. It’s jus6 so weird to hear you talk about the places in my stomping ground
I'm so excited for you! You seem so happy. I love that for you. I want to welcome you to the U.S. Washington DC is great! I've been there a few times. I wish for you all the happiness and joy. Congratulations!
As an American, I'm really sad for anyone choosing to come here. This country is a dumpster fire. However, super happy for you and your man and getting your life going together! It is super expensive there, but my only real recommendation is to see the cherry blossoms if you get there in time.
Aw thank you, in this video I used Nars sheer glow foundation. I’ve been using less foundation and then hauling a bit of concealer in the extra spots I need it. Then I swapped my colour palette to cool tones. So pinky shadows, a cool red blush and my bronzer is slightly cooler too and I think it compliments my skin tone more 💛
I loved your Legally Blonde story. Elle Woods has inspired plenty aspects of my life as well. Lol. Congratulations and best wishes on your new adventures in DC!

What made you decide moving to DC out of all places?! I hope you do FAQ soon about your move as to why you chose it, visa process, and so forth! I'm excited for this new chapter in your life
Massive congratulations ... my daughter moved from Melbourne to the US in 2015 as a 19yo, came back for a year then went back in 2018 and has lived there ever since on an e3 visa, lived in NY on the UES working for Google, but moved to LA mid last year to work for another big tech company, an e3 is relatively easy to get but does require a job offer from a company (amongst a few other things). What visa are you going to be on ?
Best of luck with the interview, we (she) has done a few in Melbourne and they always go well. In and out in 15min, they tell you one the spot if it's all fine, and your passport is express posted back within a few days, although they may let you collect them ? We went to DC in Nov 2018 and loved it, it has such a nice feel about the city, very walkable and easy to navigate. We really enjoyed the Georgetown area, I didn't realise it got so hot in summer tho.
Congratulations!! Make sure you go on the Chesapeake Bridge Tunnel on an off time during the week. Maybe between 10:30 to 2pm. It gets very backed up at busy times. So much more fun to drive if you are not in stop and go traffic.
So happy for you. I did suspect you were going to move to where your boyfriend was - but I did think he was in Canada. Must have such a relief to get that email.
I also looked up the Legally Blonde 2 movie. It was released in 2003 🙈 its been 21 years 😆
