Very much enjoying your blade reviews, please do more and maybe of some in your collection also.. it’s such an underrated and important part of the whole shaving equation.. best wishes.
Thank You Paul for watching! I love trying out new blades & doing reviews on them when I can. I hope to do some more blade reviews in the near future! Take Care Brother!😎👍
I wish they were better for me! Decent 1st shave with the blade but only good for 2 shaves for me. I hear other folks say they are great blades & have a better experience. In this case YMMV! Thanks for watching & have a great week!😎👍
Nice shave Brian and I've used the Tiger blades twice now and they're not a great blade IMO. I can get 100 Astra blades for about 7$ and they're much better blades, I'll be using the Tigers for a third time in the morning and will find out how they perform in a longer usage. Have a great day.
I agree. I was hoping this blade would be better hence the name, “ Tiger”. I wonder how good the Astra blades were that made years ago in the same company as the Tigers, if they compared to the ones made in Russia? Thanks for stopping by & watching Rusty! Have a great week!😎👍
Hi Brian, great review. I had a similar experience with the Tiger blades I got in a sample pack. Not very efficient shaves and only 2-3 shaves per blade before they tug really badly. So I'd say they are about half as good and last about half as long as most good blades I've tried.
Love Stirling Island Man - the splash is great as well. So, I’ve got really coarse facial hair. You’ve mentioned that Feather & Perma Sharp work well for you - what are some of your other favorites?
Thanks Brother for Watching! Stirling Island Man is truly great stuff! Other blades great for coarse hair I have found is Gillette Nacets, Dorco Titan. Dorco Platinum, Astra Platinum, and Kai Blades. I know blades are subjective to everyone but these blades I found work great for my coarse facial hair. Besides, must of the blades I mentioned are inexpensive & makes it easy to purchase different ones to try without breaking the bank!😎👍
I bought a hundred, and I've been using the first one for two weeks, and it seems just fine to me ( I use it in a Gillette slim set to the most wimpy setting). I asked the manufacturer what the difference between Tatra Platinum and Tiger Platinum blades is, and they said it's just branding. Like I said, I think they're OK, but I'm Czech, so I'm biased (and I sure as hell ain't going to be buying blades made in Russia!)
That sounds awesome that the blades work for you! Two weeks with any blade is a accomplishment! Unfortunately I only get 2 decent shaves with my coarse hair before the Tiger Platinum Blades start really tugging & i get irritation. What all blades the common theme is YMMV & it seems to be the case with Tiger Blades here! Have a great weekend & take care!😎👍
The Tiger Platinum is my replacement blade now for the russian Voshkod. I used now 12 blades. For me i dont like to sharp blades due to my sensitive skin.
Have you tried the new Astra Platinum blades now made in India? They used to be made in Russia & many people I’ve seen compare them favorably to the Voshkod blades. I too have sensitive skin!👍😎
Yes! Sounds like you had the same experience as I did. I was disappointed when I first used them. They are really only good for 2 shaves for me…. Barely. Thanks for watching Brother! Take Care!😎👍
Brian I thought you gave a video review of both Tatra and Tiger blades a long time ago. I soon tried a sample of them based on that video review. Although I do not clearly remember the details, neither blade was good for me.
Thanks for watching Brother! I didn’t do a review of the Tatra blades yet & this is my only review of the Tiger blades I have ever done. I do have the Tatra blades on my radar to try & do a review perhaps! The Tiger blade to me is just adequate. I get really only 2 decent shaves with the Tiger Platinum blades before the sharpness & smoothness starts to disappear. Have a great weekend!😎👍
I agree with you Brian. I use R89 for all 1st blade test and these tugged on the very first pass, even more than Derby Extras. Even on my 6C 4 plate they tugged which the Derbys. Had high expectations but they were not for me. I don't have lot of hair growth but my stabbles are pretty coarse.
Yes, sounds like my experience with them. On the 1st use, they feel like a blade I have already used 4 times. I guess I had high expectations for them since they had a great name. Thanks for watching! Have a great week Brother!👍😎
Regarding the reviews you read online or on Amazon, a person won't know unless he tries a sample. Been a long time ago I tried this blade, and the experience was, maybe worse than how yours in going. ---------- Okay I rechecked. About a year and a half ago I used one of these blades, and got 5 shaves. Shave number 4 the blade was definitely getting dull and left me with moderate post shave irritation. Most of the blades I LIKE I can get at least 12 shaves before dulling or cutting or significant irritation.
I agree…. Blades are very subjective to everyone! On most blades I have to toss them after 5 shaves but Feathers, I can up to 10 good shaves before the experience heads south! Take care Brother!😎👍

I got 100 Dorco Titan blades for £2.99! And they are decent. Sharp & smooth and good for 3-5 shaves.
Yes, Dorco Titans are one of my favorite blades. Smooth & Sharp enough for 4 shaves is my experience. Thanks for watching! Take Care!👍😎
These are decent blades, never had a problem with them

nice blade review👍
Thanks Brother! 👍😎

@@brianthefloridian6254The original Czech Astra blades were far better than the ones Gillette makes in Russia.

I totally agree with your assessment! They are just for me adequate blades good for maybe 2 decent shaves. Thanks for watching!😎👍

@@brianthefloridian6254 I know I'm an outlier here - I haven't read a single good review of these blades.

Man, I've tried Tiger blades. For me at least, they were horrible. I think you and I had similar experiences.

@@brianthefloridian6254I thought for sure I saw one of your videos several months ago of you reviewing one of those Czech blades, Tatra or Tiger.
