This was so helpful! I’ve been playing with wigs for a while and turns out i was missing a few essentials lol. I would love if you could do a video on a stacked wig with bangs because those are the wigs i wear mainly because cheap wigs with bangs look more expensive than a straight up hard front. I’m not very solid on how to stack wigs like that. Love your videos! 💝
You're so beautiful and your confidence sores. I'm looking into making wigs. It looks fun. I don't have a lot of experience with them, but I do know a little bit. I went to beauty school in the 80s. I've been out of practice for years. I am getting back into it and I realize that offering wig care can be a valuable service. I watch every RUclips video from people who use and wear wigs for lots of information. Your video is both educational and clear. I'm looking at this from a professional perspective and you are a great instructor and inspiration.
I’m obsessed with your channel, I just started drag and had my first competition where I got 333/400 points I’m so happy and I really wanted to attribute a lot of that to how much I watch your channel and how many tips it gave me
I'm trying to up my cosplay wig game and your videos are my saving grace! Bought the same mesh curlers I saw you use and they are by far the best curlers I've come across for wigs. Like you said, velcro curlers can get tangled very easily and I feel like the mesh ones are easier to heat set than foam. I actually made my first dream wig already! Big beautiful pink curly stacked wig for Rose Quartz from Steven Universe. Now my dream is another big crazy pink wig, Gigi from Monster High! If its big and pink, I want to wear it lmao
I just shaved my head and getting a wig soon- and I’m stressing about how to secure it and style it and all these things with the wig and your tips are so helpful 😭😭
This is so helpful to someone who is trans but got haircut because of nursing school, i have boy cut now and got lacefronts. I watched you before just for entertainment but now you’re really a big help to me! ❤️
Yayy Kyne, I really needed this 🤗 recently burned most of my hair off while bleaching it 🙈 got a wig but I seriously have no idea what I'm doing 😅 this was helpful ♡ Thank you!
I love watching this video. I'm new to the world of wigs and drag. I just got my first wig and have been trying ti get use to having one on, but now I want to style it. It is a long ref wig, and I would kove for it to be styled like your hair in this video
Please do a lookbook kinda video of all of your wigs and you wearing your wigs ... like start from the older to the newest ones.... I just really need that in my life right now girl. But any way your gorgeous and such an inspiration to us all, keep up that grind bo
Thanks SO much! Really appreciate the time and effort you put into your videos. They’re so organized and informative + love how genuine you are. Thx again!
I just bought my first wigs and I'm super lit that the people I've found to help me have been creative queens and badass black women rocking that shit every day
A: how dare you look this good B: my dream wig is a cruella deville half black/half white done in a huge 1950’s poodle with twin French twists in the back
I got a cheap 13$ steamer at walmart and it works surprisingly well. Since I've started watching your videos I've been getting better and better at teasing and styling. I don't know if you maybe mentioned it but an elastic band to sew in for extra support maybe handy and My dream wig would be a double stacked crimped blonde wig like The Vivienne's promo look. 💕😁.. I hope this video pushes you to reach 100,000 subs 😘💕💕
Absolutely wonderful video, and great tips! I cant wait to try out the bun twists! Hopefully they last longer than my thousand bobby pins-! Dream wig though, probably a pastel Rococo style in mint or blue with lots of details. Would definitely wear it all the time~
I’ve found that sometimes if you wig has too much hairspray in it when you go to restyle it it you just waited to long to wash it....oil sheen helps ALOT! I like to use it before I steam the hair out and then I will wash it that way it makes it less likely to get knotted or tangled as I am washing it and it doesn’t matter how much oil sheen I use because I’m going to be washing the wig afterwards anyways
This was super helpful! I'm starting to dip my toe into drag myself, so having tutorials like this is a great start. Thanks! ^^ -- Vivi Vendetta (they/them)
My dream wig would be a get a nice 613 human hair 360 wig so I can custom color it and it can be wore in an up-do. Right now it's not something I want to spend money on. I really love the color of the wig you are wearing the style is also super pretty. I'm fond of changing my wigs on a regular basis. My current favorite is a $50 What lace wig called Solana in the color Flamboyage Caramel. It is a big head friendly wig which is important to me. The hair line is pre plucked and looked so good out of the package. It's a long unit so it does tangle.
My head is a size 25, my wig block looks gigantic! My dream wig is a high pony, super long, super smooth. Kinda like Detox in read you wrote you but just one pony.
Re: Flyaways. I 've seen a few human hair companies sell stuff for that online but I came across Remi styling stick wax in my local beauty supply (BSW). It really helps to slick down flyaways. I usually do a light application on the problem area and then do a pass through with a hot comb to "melt" the product and distribute it through the hair. It's a decent sized stick, smells great and only cost me like 12.99 CAD. Thought it would be helpful to share this!
You can actually pin into a full lace wig! You have super thin straight pins for the front lace but you’ll only pin right at the hairline and then you have thicker straight pins for the thicker base lace 😊
This may off subject. I have two types of wigs: synthetic and a yak wig. Do you have any suggestions in styling a CLOWN wig. Is the process the same as styling a wig to wear out someplace, drag wig, etc. I know that the CLOWN wig may not meet your how- tos.
I wear wigs full time because my hair became thin. I don't use bobby pins at all. I wear a wig grip or a use "it stays" adhesive to glue the lace front down. I tried securing a wig with just bobby pins it was a mess. Mid day my wig was slid back on my head and that isn't a cute look. I use a wig grip with a standard cap wigs they don't do well with adhesive. They now make a lace wig grip that can be wore with a lace front wig. I haven't tried that one yet. I think a wig grip is a great thing for a beginner it's easy to use and it holds the wig on very well. That's my two cents. But I agree a wig cap is a must. Even as thin as my hair is I don't want the oils from my scalp getting on the inside of the wig. BTW some wigs look better with a darker wig cap so I would get a couple different colors (beige and brown) so you can test will different wigs. I don't perform in wigs so I'm not super active flipping my hair. Something stronger is probably need for people who will be dancing in wigs and flipping their hair. Sweat can release a water soluble adhesive like "it stays" so this product might not work depending on the level of activity. Great tips. I do have a wig block that I covered in plastic after watching Bobbie Pinzs video. I also have a wig stand tripod I got off Amazon I can move the head down and to the side and I can adjust the height of the stand. I'm disabled so I style my wigs while I'm sitting down. So for me the wig stand tripod is a must for me.
This is probably silly, because it’s so old school, but could you do a rooted wig line tutorial? I know there’s video upon video about it, but nothing seems as natural looking as it could for that kind of style, and I have a wig I really like with a hard line that I want to make Look mare natural on the hairline.
I really needed this just began the wig game, but what do you suggest if your wig cap is too small? I bought some wigs on Amazon gorgeous wigs but cao was made for an Asian head and I have a big head.
Not much can be done if the cap doesn't fit unfortunately, I'm tempted to suggest you do some wig surgery and take the cap apart and add a gusset like you would with clothes, if you feel confident in your sewing skills. If the problem is that the hairline doesn't cover your hair, consider gluing your sideburns down and covering them like your eyebrows.
Omg my dream wig is a 40 inch full lace platinum blonde moment with a dusty pastel pink balayage,, but biss ain’t got a penny to spend on a wig so forever a dream 😂😂
what is finish polish?sorry im from china and i really like your video. i just wanna make it clear is that finish polish for car or something?never heared of that tips and im super exciting
furniture polish? not heard that one before, but ill def give it a try. dream wig i dont know if i have just one, i want all the wigs. my dream is to have a wig that never tangles or someone who just brushes and styles my wigs for me lol
I was literally watching this video as the news of your Canada's Drag Race casting was released. Congrats Kyne! I'll be rooting for you!

This look 😍😍 I love it
Hey queen! I'm having trouble smoothing the teasing out, in fact, i'm doing a wig right now! Could you reply and give me some tips? xxx
where I can buy that teasing brush???

Would it be possible to use the steam from an iron for the same effect?
this is so helpful! ive watched a couple wig styling tutorials for cosplays and they would be like “of course my wig is pinned” and i was kinda lost
i recenty bought a canvas wig head and a wig stand for wig styling for around 70$ combined

I use the same wig stand. Tissue paper and all.😂

ALWAYS use distilled water in your steamer. Tap water leaves nasty mineral build-up over time, which can cause spitting from the steamer head.
What wig are you wearing in this video? 😍
Why don’t you do a hair style with long bangs
