I flew 4S since four or five years and recently changed to 6S. What I like is the more contstant punch till the end. But you really need to land in time otherwise you could kill your pack. Overall changing was a good thing.
Why you would kill more your pack in 6s than in 4s ?
@@qr9180 On 4S you can more or less see and feel the voltage sag while flying. With 6S in the end it drops quicker but until then you have almost full punch. You need to land in time and get a feeling for your batteries.

@@qr9180 It depends. When your voltage sensor is well calibrated this could work. But you should better monitor your voltage in the OSD and not trust this „land now“. I try always to land at about 21.6V at 6S latest.

I think one of the only disadvantages of 6s is the price of the batteries compared to 4s
From my experience 6S are not much expensive anymore if you compare the Wh to the 4S ones. Example: 4S 1800mah have the same Wh than 6S 1200mah. Price is almost the same.

i paid 50€ for my 6s tattu r-line V5 1400mAh packs.. they just perform so damn well
They're usually about the same per Wh, BUT having 6s means you're 50% more likely to have 1 dead cell ruin the whole pack

Probably gonna happen now, but I have never broken a camera butter twist on filter…I have however cracked every other one I have used at some point. Only filers I trust to protect my GoPro lenses.
I'm still stuck on 4s & tried 6s but haven't made change & I've been flying since late 2017 early 18! The door at night was cooler looking, too!

I'm not a huge fan of higher kv yet for 6s, I love having lower end throttle, if you can obtain that with higher kv send it. 1850kv sounds 👌 🔥 best of both worlds. Wonder what a 2225 kv 6s would feel like. I run my 4s 2306.8 2550 motors on 6s and enjoy it alot. it's an older version of betaflight. The newest betaflight is nice but sucks the life out of the 4s motor with a 6s battery even tried to scale it down. I've never got an 1850 motor hot. Thanks for the teaser I'm saving my doe.

I was flying 4s until this year. Been flying since 2018.
I'm still debating whether to go to 6s. I fly for 4s on the F60 2550kv and I like it a lot. My batteries less ;) I'm talking about the transition to 6s due to the voltage drops on 4s which are getting more persistent for me.

I just converted my skyliner mk3 to 6s it’s a handful! I like flying that first and then flying my 4s moxy afterwards I feel like it makes me more confident to try harder stuff with the 4s

The pack only lasts 2 and a half minutes so its easier to get that one pack sickness 😛😛 Batteries are half the price too.
Bubby will have 6s knocked in no time. That mushy bottom end on 2306.5 is odd so I completely feel him there. I bet he would like a 2207/2208 6s

See you are using Googles 2, what about fpv googles V2? Wich to use? And What antenna do you recommend for V2?
I used to fly the goggles V2, but now I fly the goggles 2. I found I have more penetration and more consistency with the 03 air unit paired with a goggles 2. On my goggles, V2, I would use the two stubbies, and two X2 antennas by truerc. They have been great for me

I have been gone for a long time, so excuse my ignorance, but why are freestyle people using DJI? I went HDZero because of latency after flying WalkSnail and not liking the weird loss. I hear it's worse on DJI.
The penetration and consistency has been great for me on DJI for freestyle. I can definitely feel the latency when I go from my analog to my digital set up. I have not tried HD zero yet but I plan on it! Definitely interested in seeing how it feels for freestyle…
@@Peter_FPVI just remember when I left, DJI was the punch line to almost every FPV joke, now I see a lot of people using them, including like every RR piolet.

@peterfpv, how's the stab on the sessions with a modern point of view?
@swainix I fly with stabilization off, so I would not know how the stabilization works much on the session 5 to be honest brother. I slap an nd on to get rid of some jello and fly with a good tuned quad! Session 5 is all that is needed for freestyle! I did buy a GoPro 11 mini though to test out

I fly 5s1250mah. Its the best of both worlds! No sag, and a little less cost/weight. Just gotta compensate for the voltage difference by getting the right KV motors. Freestyle cruising on an Alien 4.5 gets me 6+ minutes.
I have probably a dumb question... being as you can switch motor direction when programming.. (is it possible that you could program a reverse button?) Would be really wild to see someone fly and have a trigger button to instantly fly upside down then back normally by just pushing a button. Would add a whole new level of tricks you could pull off. Lol that way your boy could upside down yaw spin till the battery died. 🤣
This exists already in Betaflight firmware, it's called 3D Mode!

No, it's the same heat resistant coating T-Motor uses on their Pacer and F-Series motors.

Dji avata will never be a freestyle quad. At least not to this extent.

A DJI can do things a freestyle can't and a freestyle can do everything else.

You can fly the quad without googles but then it would be LOS not FPV. LOL
6S = more expensive batteries, wich will be much easily damaged.
As much pros as cons. I guess price is not relevant to rotor riot.
fpv drones look so cool but it’s too expensive for me to get into
there not that bad just get a cheap kit
You can fly on the sim, that's still a big part of my flying as there aren't many cool spots to fly legally near me

@@Raeyls At that point what isn't too expensive that requires gear. I do second trying out a simulator though, not having to worry about crashing is nice.

With the mushy feeling at low throttle, I wonder if Bubby and just use a throttle mid and expo settings in Betaflight to adapt to that instead!
