How can someone who has lacked love since childhood learn to love themselves

    This is so true. I kept buying myself all kind of good stuff, indulging in good food and entertainment, signing up for the dance class and musical instrument class, took myself to travel nice places. I enjoyed them. But still feel a void in my heart. I didn't know why. Now I understand, I still could not give my innerchild the love she lacked and deserved.

    A combination of things work for me, such as: Therapy, Meditation, Prayer, Keeping a Diary, Daily Affirmations, Manifestation, Nutrtion/Exercise and Healthy Relationships, having Goals in life/having a purpose, being part of something bigger than ourselves🙂

    I was born in 1944 and raised by my grandparents. We All simply Loved each other.Nobody had to say it. But when I grew up and went into the world..what a shock. I never knew mean people existed and I didn’t have the vaguest idea how to handle it! 😊❤

    Self awareness is such an ambiguous term for me. How can I assess what I feel when I’m always my own worst critic?

      It can be tough to assess your feelings when you're hard on yourself, but self-awareness doesn't have to be overwhelming. Start by practicing self-compassion-try to observe your thoughts and emotions without judgment. Journaling or talking to someone you trust can help you gain perspective. Remember, self-awareness is about understanding yourself, not judging yourself. Be patient with the process.

    Instructions unclear. Route to healthy relationships does not exist. Surrounded by unhealthy society.
