My first real mobile phone was the Ericsson GH 337 that I got somewhere around ‘96 or ‘98 it was a hefty and superb phone build like a tank. Not the cheap entry level handy that most people started with at the time. It was sold and marketed as a flagship digital business phone and it was exactly that. I found out that it had received multiple awards for smallest phone on the market at Cebit ‘94 and phone of the year award etc. I remember seeing it for the first time in the gym I was training at and I was so impressed about how freakin small it was. I bought one not long after. Loved the fact that it felt really solid and the blinking light would always stay on when it was on. Back then we were on the ATF-3 network in Holland but the sound quality was impeccable, the earpiece was designed by B & O, gold plated connector on the antenna and charge port. The weight was short of 200 grams (190 gr) to be exact. The best phone I ever owned was probably the Sony Z1 plus...with dedicated record button on the side, auto sleep function and jog wheel to scroll through your contacts and menu’s. I actually had an earlier phone prior the Ericsson but it was semi mobile technology.. lol let me explain. In Holland back in the early nineties (around ‘95) we had a handset called “The Kermit” it was a so-called green point phone (a black and green colored flip phone) to be used at designated areas that are called green-points, these would be train stations and certain areas that you had to look up where it could be used and you would pay by the minute. It worked on the Dutch PTT/KPN network. Funny stuff 🤔 now huh, I also purchased a secondhand base for it later on that way it could also be used as a house phone.. it worked great, looked fantastic and was futuristic as fuck back then. Man those were the days, it was so exciting seeing the technology slowly progressing. People were still amazed back then about new technology, now it seems everything is taken for granted by the current youngsters.

Good old days, indeed. I had nokia 1208 back then, accidentally dropped it from second floor of my junior high school, the back cover and battery diassembled, but still functioning, and just a little scracth on the back cover. Nokia was and maybe still absolute beast.
I had this phone, wow!!! My favorite!!! Loved it! The best texting machine of its time!!! And the "bounce" game was in a league of its own, so cool!!! And Zack tortured it.. so hard to watch...
Zack: *scratches the heck out of a brand new iPhone. Me: lol, this is cool. Zack: *barely level-3 scratches the screen of an old Nokia. Me: How dare, you monster!
My first phone was a $10 Samsung burner phone in 2011 when I was 17, but my first smartphone was an iPhone when I was 21. Having the “worst iPhone” as my first smartphone really did make my later iPhone SE2016 (2017 - 2019) and iPhone XR (2019 - present) feel like really huge upgrades.
He said that he made sure not to send more than 30 messages a day, but that doesn't mean he'd send that many every day. You don't arbitrarily send text messages at a constant pace, so it would be stupid to set a limit that is the monthly limit divided by 30. Gotta have some flexibility.
Some plans gave u 300 a month but limited daily use to no more than 30 before charging. The plan i had gave me 50mb per day but was "unlimited". Siemens c45 lol
I can't believe you bought an Ericsson instead of a N series phone! hahaha I had a 3310, then I bought a 9500 communicator, and finally a N93. Man, I loved that thing!! The optical zoom and the flip-turn design were fantastic!!
I had my first phone very early when I was 8-9yo back in 2001/2002 so I'm not sure but I think it was a Nokia 3330. After that I've had: - Nokia Ngage QD (was stolen less than a week after buying it...) - Aurprisingly affordable and good for the time Sagem V-56. Still around somewhere. - Nokia 6680. Still around somewhere. - Motorola Rizr Z8. Still around somewhere. - Nokia N95. - HTC Diamond. - Sony Xperia U. Still around somewhere. - HTC One M7. - Ulefone Be Touch 2. - Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 (current). I've never been consciously aware until now that most of the phones I had when I was a kid/teen were actually high-end and now I barely can afford a best-bang-for-the-buck cheap Xiaomi xD (well I actually could afford more but I have other priorities).
In 2005 Nokia released a better version of that phone, Nokia E70. Unlike Nokia 6800 the Nokia E70 was a Symbian smartphone with a 2.1" 416x352 screen, 3G, 2MP camera.
I remember my mother gave me that phone as a gift, do not remember what was the reason, but I remember that I love it! By far one of the most good-looking devices I ever had, including any smartphone I have owned.
I don't usually mind when you trash new phones but for some reason it bothers me when you unnecessarily vandalize classics like this. Still remember my own Nokia Communicator. Those were cool: Oh, and the slide-open banana phone, way cool. Ah, the good old days when Nokia was undisputed kind of smartphones.
2002-2007: Every phone was different and unique, most of them was unbreakable (or "just" very durable) and battery stands for about 5 days 2017-2018: Notches, notches and f*cking notches. Most phones looks like iPhone X and most of them is very delicate and easy to break, battery stands for max 2 days...
That wasn't really a shot at apple, it's just cause it can be hardly believable for younger folks that this long pad was actually a headphone jack as opposed to the ones we're used to now.
I won't buy a new phone unless it has a headphone jack. Seriously! It' costs nearly nothing to include, no new programming since it's always been included and can be weather sealed NO PROBLEM!

In Jerry's mind: *"This is the coolest phone I've ever owned ... guess I'd better tear it down"*
and scratch the shit out of it on top of that
I had this phone, wow!!! My favorite!!! Loved it! The best texting machine of its time!!! And the "bounce" game was in a league of its own, so cool!!! And Zack tortured it.. so hard to watch...
Bounce was so amazing. Seeing him play it brought back memories ... and oh my gosh, that lag is no joke ;P
excellent, more retro test
You must be that cool kid back then
Now he's agent47
Zack: *scratches the heck out of a brand new iPhone.
Me: lol, this is cool.
Zack: *barely level-3 scratches the screen of an old Nokia.
Me: How dare, you monster!
Xd
Dude this was his first phone
same feeling man!!
*Jerry
You call that BARELY???
You monster!
Who thinks he should grow out his hair into an Afro again?
Lol.. he probably went bald dude, not many people do it just by choice.

Idk why this pains me to see the Nokia phone being scratched more than the original iPhone
0:45 300 messages a month = 30/day? Wow you must've been wondering why you needed to recharge after 10 days, every 10 days.
Raiesh Shrestha I noticed that mathematics too :))) 300/month = 30 days x 30 a day
nokiangage 900... Ok Zach
My plan was 500 messages and 200 minutes. After pm and before 6am unlimited minutes
I can't believe you bought an Ericsson instead of a N series phone! hahaha
I had a 3310, then I bought a 9500 communicator, and finally a N93. Man, I loved that thing!! The optical zoom and the flip-turn design were fantastic!!
4:00 jesus christ!!!
What in the holy hell. This guy must be a jew
@@thomasmcginnis7526 I have cousins that had that kind of hair. Fortunately they got proper haircuts and the jewfro disappeared.
cool;)
Exactly!!!!!
Damn a bald guy had that hair 10 years ago?!!
I had my first phone very early when I was 8-9yo back in 2001/2002 so I'm not sure but I think it was a Nokia 3330. After that I've had:
- Nokia Ngage QD (was stolen less than a week after buying it...)
- Aurprisingly affordable and good for the time Sagem V-56.
My first phone was a 2nd hand Nokia Ngage QD. Looked brand new though
I remember using the N95, those were the days when camera megapixels determined the power of a smartphone
Oh damn I love the N95. I for one hope the new slider trend takes off
In 2005 Nokia released a better version of that phone, Nokia E70. Unlike Nokia 6800 the Nokia E70 was a Symbian smartphone with a 2.1" 416x352 screen, 3G, 2MP camera.
I still have that version
Aah, "Symbian" this brings tears to my eyes.
Nokia communicator was well ahead of its time. Classic
now the Communicator 9000 is remade in the 2018 as Cosmos Communicator in indiegogo..
Stop scratching legendary things! 😓😕 ..it was quite unnecessary!!

Nokia was king back in the day. Feeling pretty nostalgic right now...
Thats why i chose nokia even today. I have nokia 8 now. The name nokia was my childhood
2002-2007: Every phone was different and unique, most of them was unbreakable (or "just" very durable) and battery stands for about 5 days
2017-2018: Notches, notches and f*cking notches. Most phones looks like iPhone X and most of them is very delicate and easy to break, battery stands for max 2 days...

4:02 Zack with hair
You had HAIR
women hair can't have a person
I think he looks better bald.
Looks like wig
“Yep a headphone jack” this guy loves taking shots at apple
And pretty much every other manufacturer at this point ; )
Even Samsung
That wasn't really a shot at apple, it's just cause it can be hardly believable for younger folks that this long pad was actually a headphone jack as opposed to the ones we're used to now.
I won't buy a new phone unless it has a headphone jack. Seriously! It' costs nearly nothing to include, no new programming since it's always been included and can be weather sealed NO PROBLEM!
motherlove yeah I remember that... when old Nokia got 3,5mm jack included that was mind blowing... because I could use “normal” headphones...
Man that throwback pic took me off guard lol
