Out of the probably 20,000 times I've watched this, the same thing keeps popping into my head, listening to the lyrics and the peoples stories, being with the right person makes a person want to be a better person for that special someone.

I was writing in my journal called "642 Things to Write About" and this question came up: "What is the song that best describes your youth?" Perfect by Simple Plan is what came to mind. After being reminded of the influence they had on me, I suddenly missed this band I used to listen to a lot as a kid. I came to youtube and watched their earliest music videos uploaded on Atlantic Records channel and sang along to the songs (which lyrics I suprisingly still remember). And then I decided to see what the band is doing now. It's sad that I'm not updated about their music anymore because they don't have that much media exposure compared to before. Back then, there was no RUclips and I only rely on television music programs to watch their music videos which were regularly broadcasted because they were always in the daily top ten. Jet Lag, I think, was the last song and music video I've seen from them. I'm glad I came upon that question on my journal that reminded me of thr awesomeness that Simple Plan is. Listening to this beautiful song, I realize how lucky our generation is to have grown up at the same time as them because the music they released over the years match our timelines. They were angst-filled teens at the same time that we were and now that we've all grown up and matured, they can sing about love and diveristy that again, we all can relate to. Keep making music, Simple Plan.

Simple Plan has really told my life story. I remember listening to them as a teen in the early 2000s. The song Perfect pretty much described me. It seems like I could never live up to my parents expectations. I was never good enough. And here I am years later Perfectly Perfect describes my life and relationship. I'm so lucky to have a woman that simply loves me for me. Not for my achievements or money but just ME. She is perfectly perfect and she makes me feel the same way.

Just thinking about you with your wives and children, your lovely family and how much this song means to you. It really got through me. And watching these happy couples, especially Patrick Langois and his family was just something so cute.
Well done simple plan. I loved you for years. Your 3rd album was my favorite. Get your heart on I got along with and have some favorite ones on there. Your recent album I'm not so crazy on. When I was younger I always thought being single is the most unsatisfying condition at all but after several relationships (which I quite frankly never thought would happen) I enjoy being single. Not like forever. But there are a lot of things that are way better when you're alone. Try to appreciate every piece of joy in your daily life and things come up by themselves, because you live a way happier life and start to attract others.

Man this song, this song has a ton of meaning behind it for me. This was my exes and my song, I dedicated it to her and she was honestly everything. I am not one to honestly sing infront of anyone but I remember I took her on a midnight walk and I turned to her, turned the music on and sung it for her. It was so emotional for both of us. Regardless thank you simple plan, while I may not have her now, I have the memories that make me tear up and smile.

My favorite band's Simple Plan and now that I'm having a listening marathon of their songs, it came back to me why they're my favorite. And this song, it's giving me chills, and I feel like crying. This speaks so much to me. I've always struggled to believe that I'm attractive, even just a little bit. This song reminded me that someday, someone will see me for who I really am and will still adore me. And if that someone doesn't come, I hope I can be that person for myself.
