Ah the good times hanging out at the skatepark or the river during the summer when all me and my friends were thinking about was the next school year. Talking about girls, school drama, music, comics, video games, movies and TV shows, when the only reason we had a job was because we were trying to save up for a piece of junk car.
I remember playing this song loudly during computer class in middle school back in 2005. My then crush started singing the song and made the song even more so as one of my all time favs.

"I'd Do Anything" Another day is going by I'm thinking about you all the time But you're out there and I'm here waiting And I wrote this letter in my head 'Cause so many things were left unsaid But now you're gone and I can't think straight This could be the one last chance to make you understand, yeah I'd do anything Just to hold you in my arms To try to make you laugh 'Cause somehow I can't put you in the past I'd do anything Just to fall asleep with you Will you remember me? 'Cause I know I won't forget you Together we broke all the rules Dreaming of dropping out of school And leave this place but never come back So now, maybe after all these years If you miss me, have no fear I'll be here, I'll be waiting This could be the one last chance to make you understand And I just can't let you leave me once again, yeah I'd do anything Just to hold you in my arms To try to make you laugh 'Cause somehow I can't put you in the past I'd do anything Just to fall asleep with you Will you remember me? 'Cause I know I won't forget you I close my eyes And all I see is you I close my eyes I try to sleep, I can't forget you Na na na, na na na And I'd do anything for you Na na na, na na na, na I'd do anything Just to hold you in my arms To try to make you laugh 'Cause somehow I can't put you in the past I'd do anything Just to fall asleep with you To fall asleep with you With you, yeah I'd do anything To fall asleep with you I'd do anything There's nothing I won't do (I'd do anything) To fall asleep with you (I'd do anything) 'Cause I know I won't forget you

I just really wanna thank them for being there when I had no one as a child. Simple plan has been a part of my life for so long, so many nights of sitting in my room listening to them full blast while struggling to understand how life works.
I remember playing this CD on repeat🤘🏽 in my portable CD player, desktop computer (and saving the songs to it!) and stereo player. Can’t believe how time really does go in a blink.
We will never get to this moment on a grand scale, but we’re here still reminiscing… now this song makes me think more of memories than a girl, just to hold those memories we had as kids 12-15 . Life was truly different just like our parents would say times were different from them. This will never come back and its sad for humanity, but once again we’ll do anything to hold these memories and fall asleep reliving them & yup im 30. This was prime time teen for me
2030? How about 2048? How about 2319? Any 24th+1/2 centurites? Any Andre 3000s kids? Does anyone from 5000-10000 still listen into this song? Or does it actually matter what year you're listening to this? It's timeless, stop trying to clock it.
Simple Plan, they have helped me through my childhood, they were the conscience for my teen years and up till now I still love their music! Thank you SP for all the years of inspiring music! Thumbs up if you agree whether to you SP is the best in to you guys or not, just the fact that at least one of their songs is the most inspiring to you!
I took my childhood and my teenage years for granted. From slap bracelets to Kazaa and downloading endless pop punk songs, I miss the past. Simple Plan specifically takes me back to high school and two special girls, Alicia and Jenny who loved Simple Plan and introduced them to me in the early 2000s.

It probably isn't that hard when you've been playing for a while and have your chops in order, but yeah, they all play this really well. It still surprises me that this recording, considering what kind of music it is, was played, recorded and produced to such a high level of quality instead of sounding like a shitty basement tape, with more of the recording budget spent on beer and weed than on equipment and production. It's good work.

I listened to this 20 years ago. I bumped into this song today and I was crying listening to this song. I don't know what it is. I think it was when I was just worry free and just living my life. I miss that time so much. I wish I can go back or relive that again.

I never really listened to Simple Plan. Sure a few songs here and there but not religiously. Saw them at When We Were Young this year and they are so good live.
Man times were much simpler when this song came out. Just skating and hanging with friends with actual interactions not everyone setting around on smart phones.
When we were all hanging out at the river or skatepark during the summer, talking about girls and school drama, when our biggest obsession was having a crappy job so we can save up and buy a junk car
Remember this when I entered High School in Argentina, watching this VC and suddenly that melancholic Marks part, what a beautiful surprise! Nostalgia, che.

Not trying to be an asshole or anything, that really *is* how it's done.
Devil's Offspring very smart pal, but I sing terrible so not so smart for me😁

(edit) thanks for the likes!
I'm with you on that one !
haha im still 16 whats so good about them anyways it sucks for me
that's cuz back in these days things were alot different than what we have right now, back then teens were listening to simple plan, blink 182, good Charlotte, papa roach, etc now teens have a different style wich I personally don't like, they like things like young thug and future.
i still listen to simple plan, blink 182, and good Charlotte and im only 16 years old
why

This song takes me back to the good old days of my late preteen and early teen years, one of those eras of my life that I'd always love to go back to.
Hello Rodney, I am hardcore Simple Plan fan, and I have just release a new song called "Miss The Time", could you please tell me what do you think about it? (It's on my RUclips channel) I believe that someone like you will love it :)
Just casually listening to all the stuff I did as a kid like every simple plan song of all time

Sammmme
Ah remember the days when all you and your friends cared about was school, drama, homework, having a summer job, having a car, comic books, and video games?
"I'd Do Anything"
Another day is going by
I'm thinking about you all the time
But you're out there and I'm here waiting
And I wrote this letter in my head
'Cause so many things were left unsaid
But now you're gone and I can't think straight
This could be the one last chance to make you understand, yeah
I'd do anything
Just to hold you in my arms
To try to make you laugh
'Cause somehow I can't put you in the past
I'd do anything
Just to fall asleep with you
Will you remember me?
'Cause I know I won't forget you
Together we broke all the rules
Dreaming of dropping out of school
And leave this place but never come back
So now, maybe after all these years
If you miss me, have no fear
I'll be here, I'll be waiting
This could be the one last chance to make you understand
And I just can't let you leave me once again, yeah
I'd do anything
Just to hold you in my arms
To try to make you laugh
'Cause somehow I can't put you in the past
I'd do anything
Just to fall asleep with you
Will you remember me?
'Cause I know I won't forget you
I close my eyes
And all I see is you
I close my eyes
I try to sleep, I can't forget you
Na na na, na na na
And I'd do anything for you
Na na na, na na na, na
I'd do anything
Just to hold you in my arms
To try to make you laugh
'Cause somehow I can't put you in the past
I'd do anything
Just to fall asleep with you
To fall asleep with you
With you, yeah
I'd do anything
To fall asleep with you
I'd do anything
There's nothing I won't do (I'd do anything)
To fall asleep with you (I'd do anything)
'Cause I know I won't forget you

2023 and this is still awesome who else is still listening to this masterpiece?
I just really wanna thank them for being there when I had no one as a child. Simple plan has been a part of my life for so long, so many nights of sitting in my room listening to them full blast while struggling to understand how life works.
That voice is so iconic of the times. Thanks for being on in the background everywhere and making it cool.

I remember playing this CD on repeat🤘🏽 in my portable CD player, desktop computer (and saving the songs to it!) and stereo player. Can’t believe how time really does go in a blink.

Wow, nostalgia. Tell me guys. Where the heck did the years go? 😞 I feel so old Haha.
man just good memories for real. 2002-2010. i really want that back and this is as close as i am going to get to relive it
We will never get to this moment on a grand scale, but we’re here still reminiscing… now this song makes me think more of memories than a girl, just to hold those memories we had as kids 12-15 . Life was truly different just like our parents would say times were different from them. This will never come back and its sad for humanity, but once again we’ll do anything to hold these memories and fall asleep reliving them & yup im 30. This was prime time teen for me
Good ass times man.. I was the only hood nga who came through slapin this, nobody said a thing.. you can’t deny good music 🎶 ❤
2024 anyone?
Yeahh! 🇦🇷✨

Fingers crossed for warped tour
2030? How about 2048? How about 2319? Any 24th+1/2 centurites? Any Andre 3000s kids? Does anyone from 5000-10000 still listen into this song? Or does it actually matter what year you're listening to this? It's timeless, stop trying to clock it.
Mark still snuck in those na na na's even in other band's songs..
Good old fashion Canadan rock right people
34 now, still slamming to this song. love you all
Same here class of 07 cheers love all
2016 and still playing this song! i need my teenage life back 😢.. being adult is suck
Hell yea!!! I didn't know Mark Hoppus was in this until now lmao
Nick Fernandez Neither did I holy fucking shit!
Nick Fernandez Slackin.
Holy shit I was just about to say the same thing!!!

The moment you forget this song is the moment you forget your humanity.
What humanity
I forgot ir donde years uwu

Huge respect to the drummer for keeping that fast drum roll for 25 seconds: 2:00 - 2:25
If you think this is fast or difficult go watch some videos of David Diepold. But prepare yourself for dropping your jaw and never finding it again lol
why is the 2000 punk community the most bonding and helpful one I love it you’d think it would be the opposite
Yup. I remember stumbling and falling during my very first mosh pit and I thought I'd be dead but right away guys picked me up and got me back into the pit 🤩🥰🤗

Man I'm turning 28 next month and it's crazy to think I still have such vivid memories of me dancing and singing this song in front of the TV when I was 7.
June 2019...Going back to the days... Still the best👍👍👍👍
Saw them live just after my 29th this year. Best experience of my life to date. The band, the vibe from the crowd. Coolest people ever all around.
I remember the good old days me and my friends we was teenagers use to go skateboarding hanging out at the mall we love listening to Simple Plan doing tricks off the sidewalks I wish I had me a time machine so me and my friends could go back to the wonderful memories ❤️
This is a time machine back to high school... crazy how music an flood you with memories
Brings back so many memories xP I'll always like them.
Simple plan is my idol from Timor Leste 🇹🇱
I was 10 when this song came out in 2002 and now 19 years later I still rock this in my car at 29 😎💕
I was only 7/8 when this album came out, but I remember listening to Simple Plan a lot when I was 13/14 my emo phase. It's still one of my favourite bands till this day. I love em sm! 😍❤
Quando eu escuto essa banda, minhas crises de ansiedade tornam-se menos intensas, obrigado Simple Plan.

Ya know this song isn't bad...I think it's the best Simple Plan song by far.
sajohaynes This song kicks ass...

Oh... So simple plan doesn't turn people gay anymore? Lol... Yes, this is a good band.
sajohaynes No Simple Plan is gay, but this song is good. I played it in my high school band. It wasn't my choice, I wanted to do a blink 182 song, but oh well, it's not a bad song.
No never the best love is a lie is the best

Jake calls everything gay!!!! Plus, there isn't anything wrong with gays. ;)
PS: Jake, you're gay!
I love this band they don't have any bad songs. They are so good at singing and making songs!!!!!!!!!!
I'd do anything to go back to when this was released. I was 17 then. I would have no less than triple the amount of fun I did then. Because one day you're over 30, and have so many responsibilities the person you were is a complete stranger. Their simply isn't enough time.
I listened to this 20 years ago. I bumped into this song today and I was crying listening to this song. I don't know what it is. I think it was when I was just worry free and just living my life. I miss that time so much. I wish I can go back or relive that again.
Omg! I’m literally dancing in my kitchen to this right now on repeat ! I feel like I’m a kid in middle school again 😅🥺😭😭 Oh nostalgia
The girl I was madly in love with when this song came out is now married with kids and doesn’t even remember me.
Geezus this takes me back..

I'd do anything to go back to the 90s / 2000s again.
Simple plan will always live on there music will go on there legendary legends
Man times were much simpler when this song came out. Just skating and hanging with friends with actual interactions not everyone setting around on smart phones.
When we were all hanging out at the river or skatepark during the summer, talking about girls and school drama, when our biggest obsession was having a crappy job so we can save up and buy a junk car
Remember this when I entered High School in Argentina, watching this VC and suddenly that melancholic Marks part, what a beautiful surprise! Nostalgia, che.
