I think a big reason the roster hasn't been effectively built around Cade yet is because he missed the season last year. That would've probably been an important time to evaluate how all the pieces fit together. He made big strides this year, but that was not a guarantee coming into the season so that might be why they weren't as aggressive with pursuing better fitting players. I also find it hyperbolic that so many people are quickly turning on Duren. He's only in his second year and didn't have the benefit of continuity with coaching. I understand his defense was bad, but growth isn't always linear. Especially for a player who many anticipated for him to spend the majority of his first year in the G league. Pistons need to do a better job of developing players. People want to microwave the process and I think its shortsighted.
Dude in the red hat said Jalen Duren is not a good rebounder. Daduq? Hes a great rebounder, hes just not a good rim protector through 2 years in the nba.
Monty Williams substitutes like a hockey coach. Pistons don't need a superstar, they need 5 NBA players on their bench.

Of course they can easily make a leap because they should've made one this season so it could be a huge one potentially. We need to get back to playing Pistons basketball, and not trying to be like other teams. Why don't they just look to the going to work Pistons and see how they won instead of trying to be the warriors or mavericks rofl
