It might sound weird but I’ve been captivated by the Pistons struggles and decided to support them. I’m a Mavs fan but in the east I’m rooting for the Pistons.
Good luck! While the Mavs have notoriously had one of the best owners in all of professional sports, the Pick-tons might quite literally have the worst...
Great episode. Keith pretty much validated things I've been hearing and reading about the 2nd apron, so it's good to have that clear understanding. Pistons bet not miss this off-season. Otherwise, they are going to look really crazy. Also, I hate to be that guy, but I have to call cap on your last response about retooling the team every few years. The strategy you've mentioned had nothing to do with salary cap. You were clear about mortgaging the young players (specifically Ivey and Duren) for win now mid players just to build around Cade. Salary cap was never the discussion nor issue, but great show. Good job.
Good info for any NBA fan👍🏾. I feel for you guys. As a Washington Wizards fan I get it. I definitely would not want Tobias Harris at that price point. One option would be to at least try for someone like Kyle Kuzma. He’s on a team friendly contract that pays a friendly 19 million in his last year. He’s a big body, not injury prone, he’s great at attacking and he’s originally from Detroit. Yes, sometimes he takes ill advised shots, but that’s something that a good coach should be able to correct. I’m sure he’ll have quite a few teams taking a look, why not Detroit🤷🏾♂️. Whatever you guys do good luck!
I don't think the Pistons will ever absorb an impact player because of the 2nd apron, they'll prolly be used as a third team. For exemple, if the Wolves are ready to get rid of KAT, they'll send him to the Knicks and the Pistons will end up with Randle. This is the type of move I'm expecting
The question is, why not? Until 2 seasons ago, there was a disgruntled highly paid star almost every single year who some team was looking to get out of their current team for any number of reasons... Only in the past 2 seasons have we seen this happening less, and I'm curious what changed...
The first step is to clear out all the dead weight. Wiseman, Flynn, Fournier, all these guys are negative basketball players and if Monty is gonna continue to play 5 man bench units we need quality players, no more wiseman and Flynn running the show while Cade is on the bench we don’t need a star we just need competent nba players.
@@Jamar-lg9ob why Flynn? I’ll tell you why, I’m sick and tired of employing scrubs that wouldn’t get minutes on any other team, we have no shame we’re just giving any bum that comes in playing time we can’t keep doing favors for other players while our team gets worse, where is our pride man.
Great episode! So, the most interesting player to watch is MPJ... For Stew or Duren and picks?? Might be more intriguing than everybody else available.
MPJ vs Brandon Inghram career per 36 is a pretty interesting comparison. BI appears to be a better playmaker while MPJ is the better rebounder and shooter(albeit, due to playing eith Jokic his whole career). I think both are right up our ally in terms of what the we desperately need(secondary scoring relief) but I'd personally favor/prioritize MPJ(considerably less USG). Locked in for the next 3 years for about 115 Mil - what's not to like?
@@scottwickett1273 That's certainly note worthy but playing 81 games this year(in a non-contract year) isn''t? Whatever player the Pistons end up prying away from another team, they'll likely come along with some baggage...
@@cordelldemattei5446 That’s still probably a few years off given that all these teams just need to suck it up for a year before the new TV deal kicks in. Even Portland and Atlanta aren’t hard up enough to just give guys away. Chicago won’t even give away LaVine
Going to overpay Tobias Harris is such a bad idea. Dude has never been a All-Star or anything for thag matter. He's another negative player that will be overpaid and bring absolutely nothing to this dumpster fire of a franchise
WHY WOULD ANYBODY PAY TO SEE A DETROIT PISTONS BASKETBALL TEAM. I WOULD NOT CROSS THE STREET, IF THEY WERE GIVING OUT FREE TICKETS. IT'S NOT WORTH MY TIME. THERE ARE A LOT OF OTHER THINGS I WOULD RATHER BE DOING.

Nice episode! I think the Pistons can do something substantial but they need a new final decision maker to make good decisions
Grimes and fronttechio both should be back
Pistons have a nice young group, future looking good 👍
I love this one Ku
I would rather have Bridges over Harris and take a few swings at trades for the second star or fill out the roster with players that make sense.
Bridges and Trent JR

Why Flynn
Because Killian Hayes was literally a better player than Flynn last season.
If you are worse than Hayes you shouldn't be on the Pistons.

Very cool, Ku
MOST LIKELY, THE WAY THIS WILL END, IS DETROIT PISTONS OVERSPENDING FOR SOME SCHMUCK.
Bridges and Gary Trent JR should be priority this summer along with a coach who likes to coach young players, Kenny Atkinson
"Woman beating should be a priority this summer" is a weird thing to broadcast publicly.

Tobias at 20 mil and GT at 15 mil I’ll take it! Gives enough wiggle room to absorb something like an ingram
