Fellow Minnesotan, I'm also a fan of LT Wright knives especially the Pronghorn! Thanks for the video.

I’m down with the thinner blades. LT Wright makes a skinny Scandi NextGen that looks pretty good.

I've both the Joker knives as well as the Nessmuck. All three in the curly birch with scandi grinds. I'm a sucker for Nessmuck blades. I would love an LT Wright Camp MUK in 3v and or the Nordsmith Canteen Knife in AEB-L.

Great comparisons and content. I agree completely with your assessment on Joker Knives. I only have the Erizo TS1. The fit & finish is very nice. It has the higher grind and also two pins and a lanyard hole. The blade shape is more clip point & the N695 has held up well for the little carving I have used it for. I really wanted the Nomad from the minute I saw it but I think I’ll pass. If Joker offered these in a 3V I would have one already. I love that double red LT Wright. I have the Tops and Benchmade Puukkos…wonder how those would compare? I’ll have to review your channel and see if you have a dedicated vid on that double red. Thanks again, appreciate ya and God Bless!

Bo matter how much higher, the grind was raised, or the edge bevel angle was, if the blade is thicker than 3mm, a scandi grind simply sucks.(for example, feathersticks aren't paper thin, the carving isn't as good as with a thinner blade etc) That's one of the reasons, that Morakniv are considered some of the best bushcraft knives. That's why, I haven't gotten a Joker yet, but Im itching to do, for some reason... I always remember they come thicker than they should and with stainless instead of a carbon blade, and that's when I change my mind.

Some of the best scandi ground knives next to mora are 5/32 to 3/16” thick. Geometry 100% matters and is actually the primary aspect of a knife. Such a foolish comment.

@@adrianotero7963 When it comes to wooden handles on knives, it all depends to many factors, on how it will hold in time and use. You can have the most exotic handle and it finaly fails really early, or you can get a common wood on a cheaer knife, that will last for the rest of your life! IT depends on the humidity of the enviroment and how that slab is treated or not. It depends on the user if he gets the handle wet regularley and so on. That's why I always go for Micarta or G10 on my user knives, even though I still own a handfull of knives with wooden handles! But those are the reason, I ended up getting only manmade material since, I dont like even a slight change of the handle material..

  • @fabieneldridge3414

I would have never done that. There is a reason for that stopping your hand. Maybe you should be looking else where for a knife. With the millions made your bound to find one that actually fits your hand, without modification . Guess I’m just a old man. You be careful and don’t cut your hand off.
