If you're curious, the difference between the cheap and good brushes, is that usually the cheaper the brush the more loose the hairs are, and so when you're painting they leave like little strands of hair on the canvas, and so that can be annoying, and trying to get rid of them is futile, because you remove one with your finger, but then it leaves this little white space, and you go to cover it up again, but then the brush just leaves more hairs and yeahhh, (at least that's my experience with acrylic and oil, idk for watercolor) but in terms of the actual job of painting, they both get the job done, and you're absolutely right that you don't need good material to make good art, it's all in the skills. Also watching this video reminded me that I need to buy another kneaded eraser, because mine is way past worn out lol

as for a really good prismacolor alternative, the arrtx colored pencil set is my go to. the 72 pack goes for about $25. i have both prismas and the arrtx, and i far prefer the arrtx. they are really, really sturdy and have only had a tip break on me once, and i am extremely heavy handed.

Personally, I like the shape of copies more than ohuhu, I feel like ohuhu markers are too thick, the shape of the brush tips feel really awkward to use… but I do recommend them! They blend very well!!

Found these wonderful colored pencils by the brand Thorntons! They’re amazing! I’d say a little under Prisma color. They go on really smooth and are easy to sharpen which is something I’m picky about lol. But one thing I don’t like is the lead will snap really easily and I shredded through my red after a few days. But overall, still really good!
I've used prismacolor in the past. But since I stumbled across Arrtx colored pencils. I never looked back. They're so frickin cheap!!! $25 for a 72pc set and about $30 more for a 120pc set. These are soft core as well but don't break when sharpening. I couldn't tell much of a difference between the two except prismacolor is a little more softer. Still will prefer Arrtx over Prismacolor rn.
Faber Castell are the best of the best when it comes to colored pencils. However they are expensive. So prisma is actually a good choice for a high quality affordable option.

I had a few copics. And they’re such a scam in my opinion. They dried up after 5 days of usage😭 (in my experience) I really do recommend ohuhu markers or even Arrtx.
tbh, ive only had my phone for a few months, so i haven’t had to worry about storage quite yet. i guess my only recommendation would be deleting stuff that you don’t use to clear up some space,, but i know from experience that just isn’t enough sometimes 😭😭 so idrk sorry 🥲
I love your art and videos! I have a question for you, how did you learn anatomy? I’m struggling on it and I heavily rely on reference pictures to get the pose I want and it makes me go crazy that I can’t just go and draw without a plan.

huhhh that brush hair thing has happened to me multiple times but i never made the connection of it being from the cheap brushes lol. good to know!

leaving the brush in the water jar messes up brushes. it messes with the glue holding the hairs in and keeping it all together.
