    That is so cool. I had a trunk full of magic tricks I collected growing up...performed some for kids until my 30 ' I guess. I intended to pass them along to my kids. Then the worst disappearing trick of all time was performed on me.....Divorce! But I still do slight of hand stuff for my kids where I can. They like it, ask for it again and again, and I love to make people smile. Of course there is nothing better to me than making my kids smile and seeing them be happy. I am glad I found this channel too because my kids have started asking about card tricks and my tool bag for that is well....let's just say not very heavy at all. :)

    But they would be a lot simpler to understand if you place the camera back instead of front
    So that we can easily understand how our hand position should be :)

    Really wish these card tricks were from first person point of view. It's hard to mimic something when it's upside down from how you're looking at the cards.

      Bravo Kilo I'm glad it's this way. That way only dedicated and passionate artists will master the technique and use it. It's a shame that those techniques are available to young amateurs without the will to master or the respect of the art. Sloppy technique is bad because amateurs without real practice will spoil and expose the tricks.
      I'm glad the tutorial isn't easy to follow, I hope amateurs will get discouraged, and I hope dedicated and intelligent artists, young or not, will master the technique before they use it.

      Magic is based on Secrecy. I'm glad people can learn it, cause it's fun. But people giving away techniques and secrets on youtube tutorials helps the curious people to uncover the secrets. It is no good for the art of magic. Of course, if it can inspire new magicians, or even add a magician's arsenal, then it's the positive side.
      On a side note, your failure to understand my point is understandable, and here im helping you understand something else than penis and vagina. But, your vulgarity is quite sad and immature. I can't really help there i guess, except tell you that it is is very untasteful and seems like a very immature reaction.
      Good luck in your magic and try to meditate on the importance of secrecy for this wonderful Art that is magic.

      I got it on the first try. Use a really bad deck. You need to earn a good deck. Would you buy a $5000 guitar if you don’t know how to play a lick? Or buy a Porsche 911 for a driver who only just got his license? The worse the deck the better. Then when you master that you’ll see that a brand new deck will be a real treat by comparison.

    I like this a lot. I'm doing it with not much experience using a Dollar Tree deck of cards. (Though I have the advantage of big hands.) My most common mistake is accidentally pulling off 2-3 cards when I'm trying to slide off 1.
    To anyone having trouble, first make sure you understand the math of it. If you understand what the cards are doing, it will be easier to understand what your hands are supposed to be doing. If it isn't working at all, follow the instructions again and again pausing if you need. Then once it works, getting it every time is just practice.

    That's sick! I'd used another version of a full false overhand shuffle in Bill Tarr's "Now you see it, Now you don't", but that version was just basically 3 cuts where one packet was oddly returned to the back of the deck and looked pretty fishy, whereas this is quite convincing, albeit more difficult.

  • @wellesradio
    @wellesradio 6 лет назад

    The only problem I have with this is that undercut at the end.
    But first: a little background as to where I'm coming from. The way The Royal Road to Card Magic taught me was that you when you want to undercut you should injog, LIFT the injogged card into a break (by lift I mean push, as it actually sinks it in, not raises it), and the pick up that bottom half of the packet. So for instance, let's go to 2:08 . When I run those two cards (Steps 4,5), I would normally injog Step 5, then dump the packet on top, much like you did. Except that I have to now PULL the injogged card so that when I undercut it remains on top. This looks bad and very obvious. Good form dictates you push the injogged card, but then it wouldn't be where I need it (it would now be at the bottom of the deck instead of the top).
    Ok, you don't use the injog. I could go that way, too, but pulling a big packet with your thumb and then undercutting from an obvious beak you made in plain sight is very risky. This shuffle is already pushing it by running two cards, breaking and then running a paltry three more. That already looks fishy, but throwing a big break on top of that without squaring and immediately undercutting is asking for scrutiny. You sort of make up for it by repeating the whole process, but is there a way to make Step 6 2:21 a lot smoother?
