That Yakima river canyon area is just gorgeous, well worth the little bit of extra time to take that rather than hwy 82, plus you might see a train too. BNSF seems to run a lot of grain trains through there, pretty much all I see.
A salute to the return to Stampede Pass and all the improvements by the BNSF to the former Northern Pacific Route. Anyone who had witnessed its disrepair has to be thrilled by the welded steel rail, the concrete ties and the road bed. The scenic beauty of the area is captured in this presentation
Those drone shots along the river are just epic, excellent video!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks man! Always appreciate your comments.
That’s a good long chase. Thanks for taking us along.
Thanks for the comment! I'm glad you enjoyed.
Great catches and nice scenery.
Thank you!

Amazing video! There is a killer spot on the pass just out of Stampede tunnel called martin highly recommend checking it out sometime
I'll have to check it out next time I'm in the area. Thanks for the tip!
@@WestCascadeRail if you ever need directions let me know because it is kind of a secret spot
GPS coordinates would be great!
@@WestCascadeRail just look up directions to Meany Lodge it is right by the tunnel it will put you just a short walk away
It ain’t that secret. You can park a 1/4 mile away from it.
Another great job, thank you!
I appreciate it!

Great job! What camera do you shoot with?
Thank you! I use a Panasonic Lumix FZ1000.
@@WestCascadeRail How do you do 60 fps in 4K? If the Lumix FZ1000 shoots 4K 25/30 per second!
@@rail_travel good. Question. The drone footage is 4k 60 but the lumix is 1080 60
@@WestCascadeRail And 1080/60 is converted to 4K?
@@WestCascadeRail And without losing quality! Is it possible?
Nice work!
Thanks max!
My grandpa took the first video and photos of the first train to ride through stamped pass
Was that Jack Christiansen?
So cool!
I miss Lester!
