Mani Ratnam’s work of OK Kanmani was a beautiful piece of work that rooted to being mature and sensible while trying to say a revolutionary idea in a conformity world. That message being that two people can live together and love each other as long as it is a mature relationship yet happy one. This message was completely lost in the remake which I partially think was due to the director focusing more on the audience, teenagers, than the story, character or setting of the situations.
