I hated being one of the shortest lads in my regiment i was always carrying a gimpy and a law,Milan, mortar the Milan was the worst because it was just an awkward shape and heavy as hell even when it was just the legs you carried and i didn't really like it as a weapon it was a weird system to operate i loved the mortar and law though anyway thanks for a great interview guys keep up the good work ❤🏴
Excellent podcast Gav. Usually listen to these on Spotify and occasionally come on to RUclips just to put a face to the voice, they never look how i imagine when listening😅 Well done with the interviews, they always come over as effortless, you do a good job of allowing the interviewees tell there stories. Any unreleased podcasts which haven't gone to plan? Also glad you're now asking where were you born as opposed to was😅 Keep up the good work 👍
Thank you for your comment! All recordings that have taken place have gone live…at the end of the day, these stories are not mine to tell, it’s down to the veterans’ on how and what they want to share. I’m just the host and editor 😅
Never and i mean never trust a bunch of paras in your home unsupervised especially when alcohol is involved you will return to a pile of bricks and a bunch of sleeping paras 😂
Both parts great episodes what a legend to have lived through the mine strike and then return to duty.
Cool podcast guys thanks
I did Op Bravado, that was the fireman’s strike in 1977, Ebrington barracks Londonderry
