I love y’all so much!! I can’t afford the expensive stuff but I’m determined to stay in the hobby. You guys showing cost effective ways to continue is a Godsend. Thank you so much!!
I ordered the divider kit and I'm extremely pleased. All aspects were excellent. Quality product, shipping and communication were all way over my expectations.
@@pandora2456 I hope it arrives quickly. Unfortunately USPS puts a delivery day once it’s received by them but in reality it will likely take much longer. Delays are crazy at the moment it’s extremely frustrating.
Hi, The tank looks do good. I had 3 bettas but since last month and this month I lost all of them. I taking a break on bettas and maybe some time in the future I will try but not sure. Can't wait to see the bettas. Omg..she is so cute and getting big they grow up fast. Happy holidays to you.
Hi Sheila, Thank you so much for your informative videos. Could you tell me the name of the floating plant that you have floating on the top of your tanks. Approx 8.54 - 9 .30 mins into the video . Its a oval with white roots. I cannot find any reference to it any where. I would love to know its name. Thanks again .😊
Thank you for the new video! 😊 2 questions; First, where do you buy your bettas from? (Looking for a reputable establishment/breeder) Second, do you have any suggestions on how to make sure the lids are tight enough to prevent bettas from jumping the dividers?
Thank you. Check out Lisa and John at keep fish keeping.com . If you have Instagram and on RUclips they’re K G Tropicals. Unfortunately with most stand lids you have to lower the water level. Our tank dividers do sit high in the tank but there is still a risk if the lid is not flat and we recommend the water level lowered. Making your own is an option too.
I know this video is older but I was hoping you could answer a question. I just purchased a kit with your dividers and i don't plan to fully seal them so there will be water flow through them. Do I still need to get a small heater for each section or would a heater thats rated for a 20 gallon aquarium still work?
I have your dividers. I've used them for several purposes and they have been so helpful. I recently got two bettas.... They are stressing each other out. I didn't silicone the dividers in, but the swim up and down the sides which makes me think they can see each other. Any suggestions? Also I'm getting a few more bettas....I don't want to do a sorority and would prefer to have them in their own areas. Have you had and experience/difficulty with keeping males and females in the same tank ( of course divided) while quite a tight fit... Some water is exchanged. I've added tannins to one section and over three days it eventually spreads along the tank. I have new bettas coming in next week and want to house them with the least stress. Thanks
Making sure the tank is heavily planted will help. Over time they should settle. Having males and females in the same tank is a hot topic. We have done it several times and have not had any issues at all. We used the no holes divider and the tanks were very heavily planted. Others have done it too with the same results. That said it may not suit all bettas so if it’s something you plan to do I’d recommend a back up plan.

Great that you are back!!😁

Been missing your videos!!
Thank you for making fish videos! and I hope you all have a very good safe Christmas.
Thanks, you too!

I made my own DIY betta divider with my mum. I don't keep bettas anymore but the divider took too much effort to get rid of now ahahaha.
I love LOVE my Nicrew lights. Best ever!
I agree!
Great video Sheila! You explain things perfectly 😊
Thank you Lisa!
Glad to see you back!
Great work! I just ordered mine and it’s coming in Monday! I can’t wait 😁
Thank you! Did you order today?

Great video. Can't wait to see your new fish! You and your family have a wonderful Christmas and New Years. 🎄🎅📦

I loved the nat geo sand. I can’t find it anywhere now.
3:20 how did you clean the water? Please🙏 some tips.....

That is not surprising. All your betta fish that you buy from pet stores die with in a year. I doubt you'll wait before getting more fish.
How many days once we have to change water and clean the this tank with using sponge filter??

hi, thanks for watching. It’s an artificial frogbit plant, we sell it on our website. Link in the description of the video.

Thank you. If it’s being split 3 ways one heater in the center should be enough.
What is that floating plant!? Love that
Frogbit.
@@Lifewithpets72 is it plastic as well?

Good work. New sub 👋
Did you intentionally cover the sponge filter bubbles to calm the water flow?

I can silicone the dividers in, but I'm running short on time. Between letting the silicone set and setting up the tank.. I won't have enough time.

What size is your led light?
Where did you get the material to make that lid?
We buy it from our supplier locally where we get our divider material. You could likely find it at Home Depot though.
Would love to buy lids if you put them up :)
We have made some and are just in the process of testing them. It will be another month or two before they’re available.
If you DID make the lids available, I would definitely purchase from you. :)
We will be potentially working with a company in the new year!
Where did you get the actual tank from? Looking for one with a lid!
We got the tank at Petco. It didn’t come with a lid, we made the lid.
@@Lifewithpets72 thank you! Would you do a video about how to make one?
We do have a video on how to make one I think it’s in the ‘How to’ playlist.
Cute cat. What breed is she? She has curly hair...that's super cool and different. I'm sure her hair is super thick and soft :) enjoyable to pet.
Thanks. She’s a Devon Rex, her coat is super soft and so curly!
